  1. Just seen the Huns first goal.Did someone on here earlier really blame the goalie for that😉

    Jeso 🤔

    Big Wavy

DT has had 2 starts and you are on his case regarding decision making. Give the boy a break. A right footed Christie is nonsense.

It’s been a feature of his style since starting with Motherwell. He likes to ‘have a go’ and stats tell us, like RC, we should try and coach it out of him a bit. Couple of times today he had better options around him. He’s a young guy, he’s not the messiah and good coaching will help. I like him.

If that’s ok with you I’ll continue to make the point.

Lauding over a hun appendage? That’s a new low alright.

  4. “The hardcore that got us there deserve the opportunity to win it”

If Neil actually said that I despair. We’re are showing confidence, positivity and belief for the first time since October as we have a week to prepare for the Hearts match but Neil, yet again, appears to totally miss the point. We’re not getting back on track through some sort of voodoo. It is because we eventually introduced talents like Soro and, especially, Davie Turnbull with good intros by Hazard and Henderson. The team dynamic was transformed to a positive, aggressive approach.

AS for the Hearts game, is it about loyalty to some players who have failed us recently or about winning? Why is it even under debate? Soro and Turnbull have the potential to be Celtic greats and should be first picks for the game. Get Scott Brown on before the end after the game has been won to give him the honour of lifting the cup in recognition of his enormous contribution over the years.

  5. Bhoy From The Boyne on

Another huge result today on the road to recovery. Played with big of swagger after going 1-0 but had control up to that point for first time in months.

    Sorro, oh bhoy!

Couple of erratic passes but what a couple games this guy has had. Just the tonic we needed. Offers great protection to the defence and can pick a pass.

Turnbull needs to start games going forward. Great delivery this kid has, needs to start for this reason alone.

    Onwards & upwards!

Credit to CT & GB today too. I was critical of their protest today before a must win game. But great support for the players getting off the bus.

  6. Sportscene after match analysis of the huns really glossing over how much of a thug and red card that was for Moreloss…can the 4th official not report him to the disciplinary panel?

The keeper (a hun btw) made it easy for him. Pointed to the top corner before a baw was kicked ffs

  8. SFTB-was it you 🤔

I thought that was a peach of a free kick.

Especially when you see it from behind .

    All about opinions 🤷🏽‍♂️

I’m 59 next month, 10th of January to be exact, and even playing career at junior level would have saved that😵😱 now

  10. So naka’s free kick against Man Utd was probably further out ,but nobody ever blamed the goalie for that one 😉

No, Referee Steven “Bottler” McLean new exactly what he was doing dispatching a cautionary yellow for the coward that he is. No further action can be taken, Brother McLean stepped up to der hun plate.

  12. Evening folks

I didn’t quite share the unbridled enthusiasm of the TV crew regarding the performance today.

However we seem to be heading in the right direction, I thought both FBs played well and a confidence boosting 90m for big Duffy.

The concern now is the risk of the manager going back to square one for the SCF.

Hazard, Soro and Turnbull have done nothing to warrant being left out.

    Team for SCF

    Hazard

Ajer Duffy Jullien Taylor (or Laxalt)

    Soro McGregor

    Christie Turnbull Elyounoussi

    Edouard

  13. Genuine quest

Why do so many want to see Leigh Griffiths play from the start next week ?

A player who has not been fit to play a full game this season ?

If he has not made the starting 11 team so far his season, why would he next week ?

I agree we should have someone upfront with Odsonne

Just don’t understand the Clamour for Leigh

Klimala or Ajeti have better match fitness

Fergie der hun did, described the keepers attempt as “pathetic”.

  15. F.B. 7.50.

Ha. That was one was all the way from Slovenia.

At least you didn’t have to put up with the awfuldancers from last night.

  16. The Hun should have been playing with 10 since the 12th minute …

We should have had two penalties when game was 0-0

Do not think for one second that “our” refs are refereeing our games similarly

    Their no ….

Scottish Cup final on 20th December is a strange one but it’s a strange year, canny wait

    Fellow Tim’s take care

  17. Big W- I think we should be shooting more, from the position Turnbull was in today, gets passed to death from side to side .

  18. From the Evening Times_

NO arrests were made when hundreds of Celtic fans gathered in the East End this afternoon.

Police have confirmed they liaised with organisers and offered advice as supporters showed their unhappiness at the Parkhead team’s hierarchy.

Protestors chanted “sack the board” and displayed banners objecting to supremos’ handling of the club’s affairs this season. Today’s demonstration was arranged in advance by the Celtic Trust and fans were urged to follow social distancing guidelines and remain respectful.

Superintendent Stevie Dolan, of the Greater Glasgow Division, said: “Officers attended a planned protest at Celtic Park on the afternoon of Sunday, 13 December. Officers engaged with those who attended, gave advice, no arrests were made and the gathering dispersed.

“We will continue to police these types of event using the 4Es approach of engaging with those taking part and explaining the restrictions in place to save lives.

“Our response will be measured and proportionate but we will use enforcement where required if there is a clear breach of the legislation.”

Wonder what the other 2 E’s are?

    Exaggerate the Threat

  19. PRESTONPANS BHOYS-you wouldn’t have .If you had you would have been playing further up the ladder 😉

According to The Scotsman there were 16 Police vans at CP today- what a waste of money

I’ve never seen a situation that 16 Police vans couldn’t make worse.

Two holding midfielders against der Edinburgh Hanoverians? Lilly livered quisling.

  22. People criticising starting Scott Brown next week?

    Ffs… It’s not sentiment.

Do you think maybe playing a guy who has played in a dozen cup finals and a 100 times at Hampden is maybe a good idea?

Do you not know that experience is a good thing in a cup final?

Do you not think the other players will be more confident with Scott Brown leading them out?

That the Hearts team will be hoping he’s not playing?

Seriously… Do you not know these things matter?

    Moronic

  23. FAIRHILL BHOY on 13TH DECEMBER 2020 7:46 PM

So naka’s free kick against Man Utd was probably further out ,but nobody ever blamed the goalie for that one 😉

That free kick from Nakamura agains Man Utd, is the only free kick I can still remember,Great free kick from Naka.

  24. GFTB. 7.55.

    Indeed.

The handball pen, that we didn’t get, was outrageous.

Look at Liverpool’s pen, the ref didn’t need VAR for that, I would, say ours was more obvious.

  25. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Hhmm.

Broke off CQN for a couple of hours for a lovely dinner.

Still a bit of negativity during that period?

We won. It’s a start. Nothing more.

But something to be positive about.

Train well. Use the squad. Win the cup. That’s the next step.

If 22 year old Ismaila Soro is fit I’d play him.

PS – Karamoko Dembele is 17 years old.

Most 17 year olds are nowhere near ready for the first team.

Isn’t it possible KD is one of them?

    Hail hail

    Keep The Faith

  26. Bada,

Disagree fella. There’s enough data around to suggest it’s a waste of a move too often. Get closer and improve the chance of scoring. Whilst snapped at earlier for making the point, here’s a good article on Turnbull in his Motherwell days which indicates he has a very poor conversion on his outside the box shots. With both him and Christie (and I like both a lot so not a pop) we should be coaching them to make better decisions. That’s ok in my books. They both have parts of their game to imrpove upon and are young.

“At Motherwell…..12 goals from an xG of 6.01 is a pretty big red flag, coupled with a propensity to shoot from distance (54% of open play chances) it doesn’t look good on the goals front next season…”

  28. Oldtim 67. 7.59.

C’mon, surely you remember Naka’s free kick at Rugby Park, to win the league, in stoppage time, too.

WGS celebrating by running the length of the touchline, Naka whipping his too off and into the crowd.

    Happy, Happy days.
