I find it funny that so many are lauding the displays of Turnbull.Quite rightly so,I may add.The boy has been playing like that for Motherwell since started for them in the 1st team.Maybe it has put paid to the notion, that if they come from SPFL teams, then they are not up to the standard required by us.Glad to see some finally recognizing Greg Taylor to be a good RB.He suffered the SPFL syndrome from a good few on here, because he came from Killie.A waste of 2 million quid, many times mentioned.Very difficult to see a difference between Taylor and Laxsalt another good RB,except for the 7 million extra quid required.Cries of “Give the guy a chance to adapt to a new role went unheeded.Into the bargain,he was not KT.
Great 3 points today, but not for me,overly impressive. When will Lenny see that Eddy needs a partner.
I didn’t hear our manager, and he was maybe trying to confuse Hearts; but if he drops Soro and Turnbull next week in order to bring back the likes of our captain, we will be fielding a weaker and poorer team than that which played today.
By all means bring on our captain for the last 10 minutes, if we are winning comfortably in order that he has the honour of lifting the Cup.

Gene… I understand that but playing Hazard, Laxalt, Soro, Turnbull and Duffy in their 1st cup final especially at Hampden where they haven’t played before MIGHT be seen as a risk.
I still think we’ll win regardless but if he plays Scott Brown it’s nothing to do with sentiment was my point, although I’m not saying you said that.

I can accept that, and I would choose if he was showing form right now ?
Though
If not match fit season to date, how does he become match fit for next week and to start ??
Sentimental choice ??
Not on game time or form
He has been consistent in missing most games for over 2 years now
Good result – 3 points and a confidence booster. Was it DoD who said get back to basics and let the quality of players shine through? I agree. Keep it as settled a system as possible.

Getting the goalkeeper position right is perhaps our most important decision at the moment.
We have a lesson from our own history.
Martin O’Neill recognised that Rab Douglas was decent ,but not a great, keeper.
He went out and bought Swedish International Magnus Hedman from Coventry.
It looked to be a good move…..at the time.
It probably was a good move.
However the problem was that Martin O’Neill stated that it was up to Magnus and Rab to fight it out to prove who was best.
Hardly a ri going endorsement of your new signing.
Martin O’Neill then switched between the two, alternating the keepers which must have caused chaos with the back four.
The unforseen consequence was that the pressure of fearing one big mistake turned both keepers into wrecks.
Hedman cracked first, …
if memory serves correctly, he was ‘injured’ twice in pre game warmups. Rab Douglas came out to start as a ‘ correction to the line up’
There were rumours that there was no physical injury.
That was it for his Celtic career.
The step up from Coventry, to playing at Celtic ,where we start each game with an expectation that we should win was perhaps too much for him.
He played 26 times in 3 years , with a loan period to Ancona.
We need to be very careful with out selection next week.
A defeat at Hampden if Barkas was at fault could be the end for him.
If we lost with Conor in goal , I think the support would be more forgiving.

My friends in Celtic,
I would not say we have turned the corner, but we have stemmed the tide of lethargy.
We have done this by bringing new blood into the team and they most certainly have not let us down.
They must all keep their place, including the goalkeeper.
I really have a worry about one my favourite players. I do not think that Odsonne Edouard’ s only problem is playing up front on his own.
Either do I and like you I want him gone, but we both know that ain’t gonna happen and he is the man that ultimately decides, he has the final say at the end of the day, defacto DoF is our CEO, jeezo, just think of the money he is saving the club by not employing a DoF, the man is a genius.
We have a number 2 keeper moved aside for a number 1 signing, and both of them are fully fit and sitting it out for the number 3 keeper.
