  1. jude2005 is Neil Lennon \o/

No jude thought he might have been intervied before game or something :))

    sorry for mix up :))

  2. I honestly cannot fathom the contempt, indifference directed at Archie.

He may not be a Celtic fan.

He may even be a Rangers (IL) fan.

However, he is a dedicated Scottish football fan and the consumate professional commentator.

There is a lot to admire in that instead of directing petty misplaced insults to him.

Jinky – hmmm no, don’t think so. No, pretty sure I haven’t.

Does it cover the period up to the end of his time as manager?

The ball did cross the line.

Referee awarded Celtic a free kick I think for a foul on Mulgrew by the goal scorer.

  8. Lenny talking on SSN a minute ago (Could have been an earlier recording just being repeated.) Talking about Hooper, first time I heard him say we have an idea of the value we would let him go for. Confirmed that a 3rd bid was received yesterday but was knocked back. When asked if he expected another bid he seemed to indicate that was a possibility. With Hooper throwing his shirt to the crowd at the end of the match, I wonder if he’s offski.

  9. Can any of you business types clarify whether all these different mutations of CG’s companies Sevco, Sevco Scotland Ltd (I think), The Rangers FC etc… are just different names for the same company or are they different companies entirely?

If different companies, is CG subject to TUPE regulations to transfer players between companies and if so, how does that affect player registrations etc…?

    This time Good night all

  11. Don’t let the score dictate the view of how we played. There was a lot of sloppiness throughout the team. I lost count of the number of times players raised their hand to apologise for wayward passes, miscontrol or poor attempt at winning the ball. Lustig was the only player not to pit a foot wrong.

In the first half our chances were limited to long range efforts, which were pretty good, but none created through inventive play. And Killie definitely scored.

Second half it took a thunderous strike from Matthews to wake us from our slumber. Or was it the introduction of Tony Watt? More the latter perhaps because Watt was superb. He laid chances on a plate for Hooper. Unfortunately Gary was off form in the box despite being excellent in all other aspects. I counted 5 certainties that he missed.

I have to disagree with the manager on how he adjusted after Izzy was injured and replaced by Ledley. A straight swap was all that was required. Instead he moved Wanyama to make 3 at the back with Lustig and Wilson, where he was badly caught out a couple of times, Mulgrew was moved to left mid of 4. Meanwhile common was deployed as the furthest advanced of the forwards while Gary Hooper filled in the hole behind the strikers.

    All very strange.

We did prevail despite all of that and scored some cracking goals. I think much of this was down to how often Kilmarnock gave the ball directly to us or simply put it out the park. They weren’t very good.

The players seemed really pleased for Stokes scoring, especially Tony Watt who sprinted from one side of the pitch to the other to leap on top of the group hug.

Lastly I have to credit the effort the players put in. When we did not have possession we harried and fought throughout the game. And there was ample movement off the ball whe. We had possession.

From where was in 107, it was definately over the line – I coud see both full ball and full goal line – ball was behind the line by at least 6″

Bhoy Jinky – did you have ear phones on ? or was that the guy in seat 8, and a young blonde girl in seat 6 ?

  17. Celtic manager Neil Lennon says the club has turned down another bid for striker Gary Hooper from Norwich City.

Speaking after the 4-1 victory against Kilmarnock , Lennon said the second bid was unsatisfactory after already having turned down two previous offers.

“I think Norwich came in with a third bid yesterday and it was rejected,” said Lennon.

“They were well short. We don’t have a price on Gary, but the bid that was put in yesterday was well short.”

Which Celtic player has scored the most goals in one game (apart from Jimmy mcGrory)?

  19. Are we expecting any ins or outs tomorrow? Listening to Lenny post match he was saying he will be at CP or Lennoxtown until 11pm tomorrow taking calls. Seemed a bit blasé about it saying he expects calls about availability of our players and offers of players for us to sign.

I would guess no outs and a 3rd choice keeper in.

I remember the day big cilla sheridan made his debut for us… Danny mcgrain was presenting prizes at cqn fives at Glasgow green before the match .

I asked Daniel fergus about big cilla… He said he didn’t really play football until was in his late teens so still very raw.

    He’s developing well imho
