    In answer to your question… “No” it didn’t hold these guys back.

     

     

    But they are outliers (The defenders). They are exceptional talents (a wee bit like Frimpong in fact) who are so good, their lack of height was compensated by superb technical ability/speed/athleticism/whatever else.

     

     

    Taylor for me, is miles off that. I would start ElHamed too, but I think we really need a better left back. I think Greg is the weakest player in our starting team for the reasons I outlined above.

     

     

    Striker is a different story entirely. I think small guys can thrive there. Gary Hooper in his spell with us, is another example – not a big guy.They have to be strong though, especially if they are playing up top on their own as most Scottish teams tend to. (And a lot of other countries too).

     

    I don’t follow English football, but I am guessing Man City employ more than 1 striker… If only to get as much of their talent on the pitch as possible!

     

     

    Levein gave a good insight into why a lone striker has to be physically strong on Sunday after the Livi game on radio Scotland. He is annoying, but he clearly knows a lot about football.

    Luxcelt Elhamed is defo our right back now

     

     

    what do we do with Frimpong? give him the chance at that right midfield i saw him against aberdeen at xmas at home play in role , he was hitting byline one minute and then tackling back next

     

    JF is 29 now and seems to wearing Charlie nicholas size shorts now. never seem a game that frimpong is invisible unlike mr undroppable

     

     

    Up front get Griffs fit end off we know he plays well with eddie

    Great night, a full house of socially distancing Tim’s watching us win 6 -0.

     

     

    How can anyone complain. ? However it’s a blog and we all have opinions.

     

    I would have rested Scott Brown.

     

    I would have gone with 2 upfront from the start.

     

    We got a wee bit careless towards the end.

     

     

    But overall, delighted with a professional approach and execution.

    PS : Linfield out of the CL is a wee bonus.

    Good result for the Bhoys against less than stellar opposition, but you can only play the team against you. What about JF on the left and Frimpong on the right, with Elhamed at RB. Or, alternatively, Elhamed at LB, or left side of a 3. Presuming he can stay fit of course.

    I watched the game at home, and although the Icelanders werent up to much, it was a professional performance from Celtic.

     

    However, may I take this opportchancery to Gloat and Boast and Brag about my Fitba bets last night ?

     

    Yes, I took the Celts to win 6-0 and 7-0 in Single bets…..however….

     

    I also put on a “Lucky 15” Correct score bet with my Bookie ( Bet365).

     

    Celtic to win…6-0.

     

    Red Star to win..5-0.

     

    Quarabag to win …4-0.

     

    All three correct score came up on my Bookie line, but sadly Legia Warsaw let me down for a MASSIVE Payout, by only winning…1-0 at home to the UDA Mob “linfield”.

     

    I had Legia to gub them 4-0…but nevertheless….I won over £200…which I am quite pleased about.

     

     

    Not bad going for a “MUG”….Playing a Mugs game !

     

    I also had Sevilla to beat M.Utd…2-1 on Monday at 10/1.

     

    I also had The Rocket O Sullivan to win the World Snooker Final…18-8 ( Correct Score) at the weekend at 16/1.

     

    So Ive had a few good recent days against the Bookie….Who’s the Mug now Mr Bookie….LOL ?

     

    I am now moving on to York Races Today…and my bets are already on…Im playing with a little of the Bookies money now.

    “breathing space”……………………as if us / him were struggling to breath in some way shape or form – in trouble or under some sort of duress perhaps.

     

     

    Neil may have uttered the words ” breathing space” but even a cursory glance at the reported phrasing shows a different meaning , intention and context……

     

     

    If I didn’t know about the game and how it unfolded I might be tempted to think that the Club barely managed to survive………………

     

     

    This obviously being the preferred narrative to cloak our achievements in – doubtless one which makes our victory more palatable to the laptop huns in the office and the mouth-breathers in the general publik who have someone read it aloud to thum.

    Thought Christie worked hard but his touch was off, I wouldn’t slag off any of our players from last night but we all know the Ice Men were Accies in disguise.

     

    Sometimes you can struggle to break down these teams but the early goal settled us and it could have been 8 or 9.

     

    Thought we had 2 decent shouts for penalties.
