I’m not as negative on PL as you – but please don’t think I’m Happy clapper – far from it

I just think that the complexities of buying a footballer you want are filled with a million what,if’s and maybe’s

Your theory about post Jason and VVD are true they are also true for a centre forward (how much have we wasted on poor strikers?) And yes PL is accountable – hence no happy clapping from me

But I think it must be a very complex world buying for Celtic

Thanks for the comments, passion for the club is a life long thing. The cooking is a recent thing over last 5 or so years. Still a learner and have crashed and burned a few times, but meatballs and pasta is a safe option now. Good quality beef and pork, fresh tomatoes, basil, garlic and good pancetta for the sauce..lovely.

Still short at the pasta making skills so always opt for shop bought fresh pasta. Meatball are ready now for the sauce.

Shouldn’t recommend salt, mate. I like a lot of chips wi my salt, but some people are told to cut it down

I also forgot to mention that the water should be boiling before you even open a packet of pasta!

  16. Thanks guys, think I’ve got the pasta bit covered. So it’s , salted water (boiling) then add pasta, then stir?

    Jobo,

That’s a great piece on the formation. I have followed the author on Twitter. The game severely lacks this kind of analysis.

We are accustomed to having balance in whatever system we use. I.e symmetry on the pitch. It will be interesting to see how the Scoddish media react to our new formations. Even former players as recently as Stokes don’t get 4321. If Stokes played wide left as he should have he would have played a second or third striker. He isolated himself and thought he was to act as a winger.

Anyway, Rodgers seems to be fixing the problem of players fitting into the roles he wants and at the same time making it s natural fit for them.

  18. Neganon –

This is my third season as a season card holder. In the previous 2 years there was no Rangers. So how my third season card be based on them being in the Premiership?

See when you talk like that, condemning all season card holders, you’re just being a troll. Nothing more, nothing less.

Auld Tam. I agree re Cowan; a talentless bigoted ignorant fanny who somehow wangled jobs at Shortbread, The Daily Ranger and then The Scum, and whose vocabulary appears to be restricted to trite phrases like “Ats bruwyint”…..etc., etc

    -////—///–///

    Agree completely

The Glasgow Uni CSC held a 25th anniversary dinner in the dining hall.

Sean Fallon, Jim Craig, Bobby Lennox at top table.

Cowan was a guest speaker – told a ‘joke’ with a cr@p punchline (a monk w@nk!ng) complete with all the actions.

Just awful in any company and the look on Sean’s face fairly echoed the general mood.

However, you will not be surprised a few Celtic fans found it hilariously funny.

It really does take all sorts and I’m never surprised.

    Whit?

You were the one who said Leicester got 1 point, the same as Celtic. I explained to YOU that Leicester got an extra point for winning the penalty shoot-out.

  23. mullet and co 2 on

Also, Rodgers seems to be fixing the distribution from the back.

The key issue in getting a good pass out from the back is to find a player in space among the melee of players in front of you. It’s so much easier to find that player if your team mates are moving in front of you.

One of the main features in Ronnys time was an inability by the players selected to pass from centre back into midfield. There were related issues on the positions of the team when we lost the ball.

Long way to go in passing the ball and we also need to defend our area better in situations where players attack our box or shoot. Players are not up to that extra mile that gets you a block or allows you to put your body on the line.

Cowan was dead in my eyes after his disgraceful behaviour during his interview with Rudi Vata.

As should his career have been.

By God,I’m guilty of extremely badly-judged smart remarks from time to time, but at least I have the good sense to learn from them.

After being first in the queue to beat myself up about them.

    He never learns. And,frankly,never has.

Glad I tuned in, I have a Korma to make for Mrs and wee shades Sunday dinner, nearly forgot. Chicken marinating in the yoghurt and spices since yesterday.

Yesterday’s game was a bit more enjoyable than the usual pre season mince, but I suppose it should be at £35 for me and the wee mhan. Front stand f3 section really close to the Celtic dugout but still not as good a view as my normal abode in 403.

Taking of mince there was some amount of it posted on here after the game yesterday. Sad really that some attack our own.

  30. Did that wee dick no say summit about priests/ nuns at a sportsmans dinner ? Big walk out, quite a big deal at the time.
