    Our problems are fundamental. Winning against dross in the SPFL should not blind us to the fact we’re awful. We continually fall apart when pressed. A total clear out now. We will win the league but should get rid of 5-8 players, bring more in and promote youth players.

    First 20 mins of 2nd half, we were on top… So must score, but didn’t.

     

    However when the margins of quality between us and Maribor were so fine, it is individuals like Ambrose, who badly let us down yet again

    Tonight told us nothing we didn’t already know. Too many mediocre players and the harsh realities of buying cheap in the transfer market coming home to roost.

     

     

    Pass marks only for Gordon, VVD, Mcgregor, Commons and Lustig and on balance for Johansen. The rest not good enough , especially Boerrigter. Utterly hopeless.

     

     

    Cannot for the life of me understand why RD made changes after 20 minutes of the second half when we were on top. Completely deflated the team.

     

     

    Also hugely disappointed that when they scored not a single Celtic player looked like they believed we could come back. Not enough fight at all.

     

     

    All in all we’re lucky to even be in the EL.

    Ernie, cutting edges are created by midfield mastery and we did not have that this evening. Ergo, Brown would have helped to achieve that IMO.

    Appreciate it and it’s with a heavy heart and I mean that, Peter Lawwell is destroying the Celtic team, we were Desperate for a Striker (as a minimum) as was shown against Legia but despite bringing in £11.2 million for Forster and Watt he failed to do anything about it, we’re replacing quality with punts (loans) and be assured if a £4 million bid comes in for McGregor tomorrow he’ll be away and that’s what we have running the club unfortunately, no ambition it’s all about money.

     

     

    Oh and yes I like the idea of try before you buy (loans) but it doesn’t mean we’ll sign them, Craig Bellamy wanted to stay but we couldn’t afford him or wouldn’t pay what he was worth.

     

     

    Chris Sutton nailed it on Saturday and he speaks the truth even if the blind and deluded on this site want to dismiss him.

    Sometimes its better to hit rockbottom and rebuild from there. I’m gutted, players have left us and themselves down, there is a huge question mark over the Manager. However one thing I am certain about is we will recover. Any Hurtin Huns on please note this is a temporary setback, we will recover.

    we were well on top for the first 20-25 mins of the 2nd half, we were the only team that looked like scoring, why did RD change it when we were looking good not just to win on the night but on aggregate.? all we had to do was carry on as we were and if we didn’t score then shut up shop for the last 10 mins

Some of the abuse dished out from these vile cretins was beyond belief. Normally we provide a surge of power, not tonight, not by a long way.

     

     

    Yes it’s frustrating, yes the club have failed to provide the goalscorers, but tonight it wasn’t just Lawwell, it wasn’t the tactics, nor the manager and it wasn’t the players. It was the whole club that failed.

    I’m as pissed off as all of you’s. But blaming the manager( who’s been in the job 7 weeks premature springs to mind) give the guy a chance. He’s inherited a team of guys not up to the job. Stokes,Mulgrew,Izaguirre, Ambrose(centre back), Commons (needs the right players around him) Balde etc just know right for the club. I think it’s a blessing in disguise. We’d get humped in the champions league by nearly all the teams in it.
