  1. Ah the most predictable of all draws eh.

They aren’t even hiding it any more.

If by some miracle we play well then the mins will simply ensure the result goes the “right” way.

    It’s pathetic really.

Maybe DD and pl will come out all excited now and say how wonderful it is.

  2. Semi final ref – Bobby Madden; self confessed former Hun season-ticket holder. Stick-on.

    Odds? Paddy Power?

  3. It was inevitable that we would meet the new guys from across the city again. Like many I’ll take my ticket and give it to a family member and stay well clear of this one,as I did the first time we met.. I have no appetite for it at all, and doubt if I will ever want to see them in the flesh. I wili however be expecting a visit back to Hamdump in late May.

  4. What is it with some of you so called celtic supporters I have my doubts, Hun infiltrators I suspect Richards is on 2 minutes and already he is a dud, see you lot if you have nothing good to say about Celtic players, don’t come on here and stir, because that’s all.you are doing, and do any of you actually go a watch the hoops I doubt it,so buzz of and don’t come back.

Agree money on season ticket Madden for this one.

A red card and penalty odds will be odds on

    Muir – Nope

    Thomson – Nope

    MacLean – Nope

    Collum – Nope

    Madden – Nope

    Dallas – Nope

    Clancy?

  7. Points of note:

    1) Interesting that the draw was made on page 13 (THIRTEEN!!!!) of this blog. Jinxed by us all. Shame on us for lack of/exhuberant posting.

    2) Fitting that on Mothers’ Day we draw the motherf######…

  8. thetimreaper on

Just realised that they use 5th and 6th officials in the semi finals, so how does Thomson in the middle with Madden and MacLean beside the goals suit?

  9. I remember a time when drawing der hun got me all excited now all I feel is sick to my stomach.

  10. @celticfc: Celtic have been drawn against Rangers in the semi-final of the #ScottishCup (NM)

Not being pedantic, but disappointed in this tweet from CelticFC. Validation of the con.

  11. Listen, don’t come on here and talk all this tripe of not going to give the Hun or the S F A. money by not going to the game, utter nonsense, but make no mistake there will plenty of Fans, especially the ones that say, no way will they give a thin dime, watching Sevco against Celtic. it’s Celtic you are going to support.which we need more than ever.

  12. The bloke John James was spot on, the huns need the money promto and the coffers of the sfa are going to burst now.

Hopefully our players fit the hoops!

Thats a good enough reason for me…not to go anywhere near.

Businessmen on the board….sell their souls for money, quite happy to back up the hun lies.

  14. Never got seeing the game today’s, apart from the vine shown on here of the tackle on Johansen. Thanks to those who have posted their summaries.

A few points come to mind:

If our players and rhe referee did not react to that tackle and it went unpunished, you can bet your life the Hun will have seen an noted this. They will view this as an indication of what they can get away with. Very reminiscent of the Mowbray days.

Secondly, if Man City see that tackle, you can be sure they’ll have second thoughts about loaning players such as Patrick Roberts to us in the future.

Thanks for posting that, magic memories.

I only managed to get one ticket for the game, so I gave it to my bhoy Paddy who was 15 at the time, in the hope he would enjoy a party. I had no fears for his safety as we went to the games in the supporters bus and I knew he would be looked after. The twist is Paddy had obtained a 4 in his prelim for English. When he actually Sat his exam, the question he was set was. Tell about a time when you felt alone. He wrote about how I had given him his ticket and was so pleased, however when Naka scored although he was with friends he felt alone as I wasn’t there to share the moment with him. It still touches my heart after all these years and to finish the story. He was awarded a 2 for his English. I’m convinced it was because the examiner loved his passion and yet in his moment of joy he was thinking of someone else.

  16. Just told my boy of the draw. His response was ‘awe naw that means Glasgow will be a horrible place to be in’. Says it all.

I have tweeted my disgust to those who posted tcst

  18. Could not care less for the semi-finals, going to and supporting team is every single persons choice, mass hysteria there will not be, win and i will be happy, lose i will be pissed off same goes for every game hh

  19. On the Hun draw.

Last year I did not enjoy the whole build up. We were cruising in the league and been very unlucky in the Europa League against Inter Milan.

However, given our form and confidence levels, this might just be the game to gee up all of our players and give us that edge,

We have to make the most if this with a run of league wins. In saying that we need to ensure the players are not over hyped for the game as a red card could prove disastrous in this fixture.

Just realised that they use 5th and 6th officials in the semi finals, so how does Thomson in the middle with Madden and MacLean beside the goals suit?

    It is inevitable.

  21. So Celtic have to face Sevco’s works team again.

Yawn I hate it when we have to play these type of teams. All the pressure is on us to perform but we get no credit for beating lower league opposition. The media will be in transports of delight, remaining us of past defeats to Sevco’s predecessor. Lose and we will be pilloried by all, win and we will be pilloried by the rest of Scotland so no pressure obviously.

  22. I’m pleased with the draw, if the unthinkable happens and they turn us over, I’d rather it be in a semi then see them parade around with a Cup after the game.

We haven’t been playing well and confidence was low, we now need to go on a run, string a few wins together cement our place at top of League and go out and put the Huns in their place.

However the Huns are for 5 weeks time, in the meantime we need to totally put them out of our mind and concentrate on trying to close out League.

Partick Thistle have 2 tough home games ahead, Sheep Tues night and The Celtic lunchtime next Saturday that’s enough for me to concentrate on.

  23. The Green Man says SACK THE Board on

Sevco manager and players should be banned from football for being the worst cheats in history.

Failing that….they would all fit right in on Game of Thrones.

Imagine the scene….A Thousand Sevconains dressed up in their 1970s gear from City Cash Tailors, monogrammed waistcoats, doc martins, and crew cuts…..and thats just the women:)

  24. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

I’d have preferred if Celtic had kept the tempo going second half. A few of the guys could do with the confidence boost that a goal brings.

Watching Colin Kazim-Richards today he looked more in tune with his team-mates. He needs to curb that temper though, thought he had a wee swipe at the No.3, who he had continued words with after CKR conceded a foul for dangerous play.

Nothing wrong with the aggression, we could do with more of “it” in the team, just needs to box-clever.

  25. the glorious balance sheet on

This will be a different ball game from our last and only other encounter with Sevco.

Unlike last time, I think this time around a majority of their fans will actually expect them to win the game. This sense of expectation will be heightened as the media whip the zombie hordes into even more of a frenzy in the run up to the game.

All the ingredients for plenty of trouble especially if Celtic win. But lots of scope in that instance for the politicians and Police Scotland to lament about anti-social football fans are and how the case for the OBAF Act has been made.

Roll up, roll up to watch fat baldy middle aged guys hurl sectarian abuse and spew on about the famine being over, why don’t you go home, while third rate rejects on both sides (forrester, Wilson, kazim Richards, boyata) batter the ball into submission.

It’s football. But not as the rest of the world knows it.

The only people who are happy at this state of affairs are the likes of Dermot Desmond (who misses the great club rangers and their great fans), Lawwell, Reagan, Doncaster, and the zombie hordes who need us – and their hatred of us – to validate their existence.

Boak inducing for proper football fans. But the wildest dreams come true for bigots and the assorted corrupt snakes, convicted criminals and vulture capitalists in charge of Scottish football, Celtic and Sevco.

  26. I’m happy we got Sevco. This draw should focus minds and help us see out the season with a double.

We will win and win comfortably.

  27. Personally, I am sad that we have drawn the deid team. I won’t be there. I respect the likes of HT who go to every game. I can well do without the hate they bring.

I would be happy to give my ticket, if I get the offer of 1, to someone who goes to every game and who wants to attend. To my mind, they deserve it. I know too that the team will need as much support as they can get for such a match, as they will get none from the MIBs and the SMSM.

What are the odds that we have a few serious injuries and/or orderings off between now and then. It is already open season in hacking our players. I can only see it getting worse.

I’d give CKR a chance but it shows the stupidity of the Cole signing.

This guy is on a wedge and nowhere near a start

  29. glendalystonsils on

I hope somebody at CP is bringing that tackle on Johansen to the attention of the compliance officer and Collum’s non reaction to the attention of the SFA.

  30. At the game today with my daughter, enjoyed it, first half was more like it, fast forward neat passing with 3 goals too

CRC called it pre-match… 3-0 halftime he said ;)

Second half not quite the same quality maybe down to Johannson missing, his drive in the first 45 was his best for a while or maybe Morton made it more difficult not wanting a hammering I don’t know but the tempo was different

I’d like to see Sviachenko and CKR a stone lighter as I think they look a bit heavy.

I don’t know what CKR will bring to the team but I live in hope Cifti, Stokes Scepovic look more mobile.

I hope the draw against Rangers unify the support and renergises the team.

The league is the most important target, get the away fixtures out of the road with

Good performances and the confidence will come back as so will the crowds let’s get paradise jumping once again as I say I live in hope

Ps…… If anyone has two tickets for the semi I’ll buy them of you :)

  31. ……..

    Jings….I’m POOPED !

But I watched The Celtics against Morton….

So what was the Big Deal….!?

They were just a ‘Pub-Team’…..Junior Varsity

    No Andy Ritchie…..No Mark McGhee….No Willie Woodbine…

Hell….We didn’t even need to bring Harry Hood off the bench….

    In the last-quarter

    But our players lack ‘Core-Strength’……

    Hell….They’re weaker than Lil’ Marco…

I’d take a tip from my old pal,’Jungle’ Jock Wallace…..

I’d get them running up the Balmedie Dunes….

    Melania leading the way….

Let the Arctic breeze blowing away those cobwebs and nasty body odours….

    No snuggies,beanies….or toupees

    A Tunnocks Teacake-Free Zone….

    We’ll build CHARACTER….

Our Bhoys will run through Brick Walls..

    And ask for more….

    Oh yes they WILL….!
