I have comments on here accusing Celtic of
1) Throwing the league to help out rangers(il).
2) Actively helping Sevco return (sic).
3) Salivating at the prospect of meeting Sevco again.
What I haven’t seen is any evidence if any of the above.
1) Celtic and 9 other teams voted against the direct insertion of Sevco into the SPL, one team abstained it was not Celtic but guess who get the most grief.
2) This is the most laughable suggestion ever. Not only the board but the players and management colluded to “gift” rangers the title and thus guaranteed European income in order to keep the “old firm” alive. All those people and not one has broken the cow of silence. Hmm.
3) Celtic have states regularly that they no longer use the “old firm” term, they have also said that they have no control over who they play and what the opponent calls themselves. But why let the truth get in the way of a good old fashioned board bash.
I see Celtic have rushed out a tweet about us playing Rangers. They just can’t help themselves can they.
Let’s get the tin hats off, those bastar** will be out in numbers.
I’ve already had numerous phone calls about tickets for the game.
Their support is back, as for written riddled establishment…f*ck them.

Dermot Desmond’s comments on Rangers were very clear, he said they were a great club with great history and great fans and he misses the rivalry.
He is our majority shareholder.
A common line peddled in support of Peter Lawwell, especially on these pages, is that he is only doing what Dermot wants and that Dermot sets board policy.
So I think the available evidence points to the Celtic board being happy at the prospect of a game v Sevco.
Dermot Desmond has certainly gone on the record on this.
You won’t ever hear him calling them Sevco though, he calls them rangers.

Glad i decided to go to game today. A decent first half anyway.
Fair play to the support Morton brought up , ten minutes before kick off,it looked like they would out number the home support in the stadium.
Im sure it will be easier to sell tickets for the lower league team we’ve been drawn against the next round.

Celtic have not left it to supporters to pursue res12, Celtic had made enquiries to the authorities about the issue of a licence in 2012 they received a letter answer which in the absence of contradictory evidence they accepted. Res12 opened a new avenue of attack. The board could have shut it down easily with its block vote but chose to suspend the motion pending further investigation. At no time have any of those involved with Res12 accused Celtic of hindering them.
You throw accusations out regularly about the board of directors having various heinous agendas but ate very light on actual proof. You claim the “real” Celtic died when the plc came into being, that would be the Celtic run by the Whites and Kelly that called themselves “custodians” but who demanded full value for their shares when Fergus took over. Seems you are selective in your condemnation of rapacious money grabbing boards.
So (sighs) you can KMA if you think I will listen to one word of your constant critiscm of Celtic but absolve the media of everything attitude.

BSR – the more you watch that challenge the more nasty it becomes, a straight red any day of the week.
I’m no lover of the Board but I get fed up with some the anti-Celtic “Celtic” supporters on here. So Celtic quickly tweeted that we were playing the huns, I’m sure they would have just as quickly tweeted one of the other teams. I reckon most fans ‘tuned-in’ somewhere to find out our semi-final opponents. As regards calling them what they think they are if anyone associated with the Board, management or team referred to them as their true name, ie Sevco, you can be assured that a ‘bringing the game into disrepute’ charge would be made – totally counter productive and plays into their hands.
Thought that the big difference in performance today, first half, was the energy and directness that Johansen & McGregor brought compared to Mulgrew and Rogic in midweek. The change in formation to 433 also helped and it was no coincidence that when we changed back to the usual 4231 in second half we were less effective.
Looking forward to Paddy Roberts tying the zombie captain in knots.

You say the board can’t wait for the return of the old firm which maybe right. But there are thousands of Celtic fans that can’t wait either take a look at social media the ticket debate has started already.
There were 15 thousand there today if we played the huns it would have been full Mothering Sunday and all. Whether you or I like it or not them coming back will put bums on seats. That I’m afraid is the reality of the situation.

I didn’t say anything about not telling the truth – I said that if anybody associated with our Club referred to them as Sevco then there would be a charge against us. A charge we would almost certainly lose unless we were prepared to go to court to challenge it. UEFA might have something to say about a court challenge to one of its member associations. That’s why it is counter productive – make sure your gun is loaded and your prey is in your sights before you fire.

*I believe that the coaching staff realised quite early on that Ciftci wasn’t turning out how they planned and Nat King was brought in as an emergency replacement.
I also feel that Ciftci was being loaned out in January as his demeanor in the latter part of the year semed to reflect this.
Once CKR appeared on the scene and for free tae we just grabbed him with both hands.
I think big Nat will move on soon and we won’t see Ciftci back in the hoops again. Scepovic either.

I thought it was a crazy decision to take Leigh of but I guess losing him through injury would be a disaster for us and ronny in particular
I said it yesterday that this is gearing up for a sevco cup win, even the draw the day points the way as with a couple of honest mistakes they’ll fancy themselves against any of the other 3 for a crack at Europe.
Yesterday’s score had me intrigued as they urnae playing that great plus have lost their “talismanic” striker for the season. But the nagging thought of the importance of that the entry intae Europe was still there.
That got me thinking again. Dundee have had a pretty decent season, they are in the top 6, just, and have a goal difference of -2. They also have the 3rd top goalscorer in the country and their next 2 have scored more than our second.
That’s not that bad although they have conceded more goals than they have scored. They also had a credible tie with us midweek so why the capitulation.
They also have a smattering of Celtic minded players as well as a similar management team. But at the end of the day they still have to put bread on the table and that’s what counts in such a short profession.
Of all the “Tim” personnel at Dens Park it’s the manager who can influence results so let’s not forget that Zico was enroute to bader park for signing talks when he got the call from his brother and headed to Lennoxtown instead. Would he have signed for them, as michael o’hallorhun and other lapsed Celts have proved probably aye.
A former Celtic director once told me, several years ago I hasten to add, that apart from the zombies, Dundee and St. Mirren were the only two teams in the country that wouldn’t do business with us, which is why we couldn’t buy a young WGS and Steve Murray from the former even though the Big Mhan coveted both players.
They were always the hun team in the City of Discovery and it was no secret that some of their players loved belting out the Cadbury’s Smash in the bathtub after a game much to the chagrin of the token ben affleck players in the side.
There was no love lost between the sides and that goes back as far as 1948 when their players were on a massive bonus to beat and help relegate us.

Allegedly 70 visiting supporters were engaged in a running battle, the worse seen by the hundee spokesman, a former deid team employee, in over 20 years Ironically there were only 5 arrests, one being a home supporter but that didn’t stop them bad mouthing us.
In saying all that I may be fanciful here but we know the fix is in and if it hadn’t been for the inadequacies’ of mcsleekit and his successors they would be in the SPL right now, now that they have warbo and co actually winning games what’s to stop them cheating their way to the final with a little help from the brethren.
As we all know the craft instructs their members that it’s their duty to help a brother (s), above all others, in distress and they have been in that state for several years now.
Am I right or is it that I just have too much time on my hands now that I’m retired and aff the kitchen sink.
