My thoughts on the game were that we started poorly.

KA took time to settle — was passing the ball on as soon as he got it.

DB and KT seemed to be having a domestic and ScS was not moving / making space to bring KT into the game further up the park.

Add in that TR looked a bit distant in most of our play and JH confirmed that he is limited at our level plus EO looked the new kid in the playground trying to make friends.

    Consequently slow going.

However we worked our way forward slowly and then we finally made some space and the ScS / EO combo did the rest.

Loved To see EO grow into the game.

He looks 2 years behind MD in experience and big match confidence.

However I think he is his equal in skill and ability.

Might have to work on the appetite and aggression though.

But he deserved his HT and it should be the making of him.

Interesting question — third striker option.

Who is better — him as a loan with an option to buy or the post hitter LM at SPL cheap?

  2. Lymmbhoy, thanks for the links much appreciated

    Well done Celts

    Enjoy these times bhoys!!

    Philbhoy.

Thanks for kind words earlier, appreciated.

My bhoys game was off today, seemingly Newtongrange Star’s park still frozen, any way it meant he attended our game, I think it’s same to say he thoroughly enjoyed it and thought Jamesie was great when he came on.

    Hail Hail

  4. Fantastic performance and result today.

Just tidied up after a lovely Indian takeaway.

Red wine going down a treat.

Having an evening with the Eagles, before The Rebel Songs begin. (The ghirls are watching “Strictly”)

And I’m in the company of some lovely people who just happen to be great Tims as well.

    Life’s good.

  5. JIMMYNOTPAUL

  7. Gazebo was buzzing today and the mince pies fair went down a treat.

Celtic wore down the most competitive Motherwell we’ve seen since Dixie Deans and Jaws ( Mind him? ) but Kevin Clancy opened with an obligatory Broony yellow when he took one for the team. Scott was imperious like a cross between Pirlo and Gladiator strutting his stuff when he was told to get the blood wiped from his face. Some Tims in the main stand thought he’d been sent off and vented some spleen, not surprising given this this weeks still pure raging media.

Always outside the SFA/SPL upper echelon Kevin Clancy tries so hard to get in by not living up to his ‘too Timmy label’, labelled by Duffiled Smith when he dared booked an old Rainjur, just the once back in the day. Motherwell were still in our face at 5-1 just like their overly excited board of Sevconians they need to learn © Paul67 like when James Forrest cut in and scored the same goal as he did last Sunday.

With Edouard unleashed and poised for his hat trick which duly arrived, there was no chance of Tuesday’s child ( The Griffalo ) seeing action, but Odsonne wasn’t the only pleasantry of the day Kristoffer Ajer was impressive at the back and Tierney was unplayable at times and continues to belie his miserly full back label. Tom Rogic in full flow aided with subs James Forrest and Stuart Armstrong we finally ran the legs off Motherwell.

    Roll on Anderlecht

    M.O.M Odsonne Edouard

p.s. Madmitch the mineshafter ……………… ba humbug

  8. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Jimmynotpaul, good news Paddy got to our game today .

Out best home league performance this season .

This Motherwell play in a similar get into thum style like Hearts under Levien during his first spell as Hearts boss.

Ma two are watching x something the the Jungle…. not the our Celtic Jungle

Brendan after the game today, outstanding

Young Edouard, not many (never mind teenagers) get a hat trick at Celtic Park

Good times indeed …. roll on Anderlecht am sure our home support will carry us all to at least a draw :-)

  10. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Jimmynorpaul, I meant to add , lets hope the two most important ladies in your life , make a quick recovery.

Tony Mac will be happy as Pollok beat Perthshire 5 nil today and we scored 5.

    Clydebank drew 2 2 v Girvan today.

Out to a housewarming party now . Enjoy the rest of the night .

I did the reading the day after that final with Denis McQuade. (Our Lady of Good Counsel, Dennistoun)

A lovely guy that somehow softened the blow.

    *********

Yep, thought it was yourself. Played alongside him for many a year. Could tell from age 12 he could make it. He would loved to have played for us.

  12. The Lurkin Tim./Neilbhoy

    Thanks :-))

7 year back to normal now, so that’s great.c

Wife still sleeping majority of the time, bizarrely though when she wakens she has a good appetite.

Honestly,as she is mainly vegan, sometimes vegetarian, trying to keep it interesting has been a challenge. I definitely need J.McCormick and Whitedoghunch assistance :-)

Lymmbhoy. Thanks for your assistance at 3.02, it times like today when you are an absolute star.

    Hail Hail to all.

  13. GFTB

    Good times indeed!

Looking forward to Tuesday as well but expect Anderlecht will up their game.

They need to score at least 3 so expect them to play it tight for 20 then they have to go for it.

We are so quick on the break I hope for a victory.

    C’MON THE CELTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. SCANIEL

I often wondered how Dennis would have fared playing for us.

I believe he would have been a sensation!

    Dreeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmsss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Football played today was easy on the eye. Edouard nicely taken hat trick. Big games by Boyata and especially Ajer.

Motherwell were thuggish again, aided and abetted by the ref.

The Well keeper mistimed a punch out, just connected with the ball, but followed through and punched Tierney in the face. Why is that allowed? Dangerous play.

  16. Dallas.

Thanks for updates on Pollok and Bankies.

I’m delighted for Tony, especially after the club were fined £100 under a bizarre SJFA rule that Pollok didn’t even know existed.

    Enjoy the housewarming.

    Hail Hail

  17. SUPERSUTTON-my dad went mad when the goalie did that, and if you noticed he didn’t go directly to KT to make sure he was ok:-)) Said it earlier the Motherwell team is a reflection of their manager

  18. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again and I’m sure I’ll say it in the future;

    Tom Rogic is magic.

  19. Gerryfaethebrig on

    Philbhoy 7.55pm

Although never too confident (my Celtic upbringing :-) but Anderlecht are not much better or worse than us (what I have saw) will be great for the players to experience at team at Celtic Park in the sane ability but they need to attack…

Janes Forrest has had some season (as well as some Celtic career) the wee mhan is a danger to even the top seeds in our group, delighted he is getting the praise (& Goals) his play deserves, Neil Lennon always rated him and now Brendan seemingly feels the sane and has improved our Janes F

    Happy days

  20. Faithfully Bhoy.

Thanks. Hopefully once she’s better she will think that too. :-))

Can I say, I received a lovely text from a long term lurker this morning who had read what was going on. It gave me a great lift, as have the lovely comments on here too, anyway to my point….

J.H. aka The Falkirk Pioneer start posting!!!!.

    Hail Hail to all.

  21. Adi.

    Tom Boyd said offside.

That’s a Celtic man I would trust implicitly.

    Hail Hail

  22. GFTB

Agree wee Jamesie is in the form of his life!

I sometimes think Brendan is really Albus Dumbledore!

  23. Fairhill Bhoy, good point. KT is one durable kid. He seems to the victim of rough treatment every game. Shows you how good he is that the opposition target a “right back”. We are so lucky to have him.

  24. Fairhill Bhoy.

How do you think I feel, I’m not allowed to drink anymore. :-))

    Hail Hail

  25. Gooooood, no Great 67 Evening CQN

It was not all great news today – I got pumped oooot LMS9, serves me right for picking they Edinburgh Huns.

Not to worry, I can tell anyone who wants to listen ( or not as the case may be) that I was there

02/12/17 when the world famous Glasgow Celtic achieved another 67 great

Very well done to Brendan and the Bhoys

    Thanks for today

Oh another thing, well done Edouard and James, you will never get to forget today’s achievements

This is what it’s like to be Celtic :-))))))

    Hail Hail

  26. I am very confident Celtic will win by 2 goals against Anderlecht, they played away from home tonight and won 2.1 strange kick off time 5pm Belgium time, I do not think they wil relish coming here having lost 3 at home.
