    This is Olivia!

Just saying thank you for your interest in my visit to Auschwitz. It has left its mark on me and the harrowing stories we were told there have helped me decide on my career.

I hope to have a good talk with you next time we meet.

Oh, I owe you a hug!

Perhaps we are the Philistines. To be fair I remember going to the Louvre 17 years ago, heading straight for the Mona Lisa, having a look and thinking “ Aye okay, where the real stuff”.

Spent another two hours marvelling at beautiful works of art by God knows who, honestly can’t remember any of them by name but remember being bowled over by the majesty of all of it.

As for football , I don’t know how to play it but I sure can appreciate the good stuff.

We were in company last night and they were asking about the trip.

She broke down a couple of times.

    Tough to watch.

    I’ll be in touch!

Danbhiy frim this parish has already treated my daughter for the legends game, we were in the old Celtic end and seated for 1pm as we met Danbhoy & his son at big Billy’s statue, I was hoping she would get the bug but around halftime she was bored stuff, she hadn’t a clue about Henrik or Lubo, when Scott Brown left the field she said can we go, she loved the superstore but think that’s more to do with spending money, cheers for the offer anyway much aooreciated, I sort of like the way she isn’t into fitba, but her mask is slipping as she thinks KT & Broony are magic so that’s a start :-)

  7. Philbhoy,

If O chases history with politics….she may have a successful future….but not in politics ;-))

Ajer was also excellent today .With M’well players pressing up on our backline, Ajer had the pace and ability to run past the pressing player and into the midfield space to set up an attack. This enabled us to build an attack much more quickly without too much of the laboured passing which allows the opposing defence to organise behind the ball.

It has left its mark on everyone, sweetheart. Nearly 3/4 of a century, and it’s there.

It always will be,I envy you for being there, experiencing it,I feel for you for having to do that too.

I could never do that,Olivia. I know I’m not strong enough. I’ve read enough, that’s too much for me.

But you went there. You knew what you were gonna see,and aye it might have hit you a lot harder than you thought.

But that’s why I haven’t. A brave girl to see that, and I hope that the wee clip I sent you helped make it easier.

  10. I notice Nottingham Forest have parted company with Warburton.

This is the man that tube Durham said would be The England Manager.

    Hail Hail

  11. BMCUWP,

yer wrong….wen Trumpet can retweet bullshit….and it’s accepted by mainstream media…..it’s served its purpose….even if shown to be wrong…. What mainstream media is gonna admit it was?

    ;-((

    This is Olivia.

It was so difficult to understand why anyone could be so cruel to his fellow man.

    Still raw with me.

The photo’s and songs you sent helped. Thank you again.

I hope to see you soon.

  13. Philbhoy BMCUW.

My older daughter was in Krakow last weekend.

She visited Schlinder, Auschwitz and,Salt Mines.

She said it was all an incredible experience. Although, obviously some of it emotional, all the children’s shoes :-(

She thought Schindler Museum was incredible.

I think it was Zbysek who previously mentioned it, thank you whoever it was.

Zbysek, if you are lurking, she loved Krakow, she has visited lots of places, previously Berlin was her favourite but she thought the Polish people were brilliant and the prices too.

She had them doing a huddle in a bar after the league cup win. It was an Irish bar, right enough.

    Hail Hail

Lost me there, bud. Nearly ten on a Saturday,so no great surprise!

You try to explain it,I’ll try to understand it. And all without the benefit of a kebab.

    (That’s where wur gaun wrong,innit? Kebab,nae arguments. Heyho…)

  16. Rogic scores a great goal. A slight hint of offside however the assistant referee does not raise his flag. The referee believes it to be a goal and points to the centre circle. The paying audience naturally assume a goal has been scored. But no hold on a minute. The referee who has given the goal confers with the linesman who sees no reason not to give the goal. Nowl the referee decides it was offside. Goal not given. The only conclusion to be had from this series of events is the referee was influenced by external forces. Otherwise known as cheating. Hh

  17. Don’t get to games as Iam involved at amateur level. For me today is a classic example of how to manage and develop a player. Heard Brendan say that the Bhoy had been training well. When was the lasttime anyone thought of or mentioned the other than the Hamilton game. Thoughts so ,not heard him mentioned in a long time. That why Brendan gets the big bucks. Because he can MANAGE. That’s the difference. Class

What you saw was the result of what men can do. And sadly,we still can.

    You’re a young kid,what can you do?

You can never forget,Olivia. You might feel that you haven’t done enough-that’s how it works,we all want to do more but wonder why and how-just never forget, and never give up.

You’re allowed to forgive, btw. But you know that. You’re allowed to cry too,we all do. But sometimes mibbe you can think of the music I mailed you,a beautiful thing about a horrible place.

And sometimes mibbe that will give you a happy memory,a smile.

    I sure hope so.

  19. The Tim Reaper.

    Thanks buddy.

    That’s Twitter for you.

That one definitely fooled me (not heard I heard you say )

Probably because it seemed so plausible.

    Hail Hail

  20. I love all the posts that reference….man’s evil to man….love is the wrong word….

Are we as a species learning to accept it…..eg….Balkans, Iran Iraq war, Afghanistan, Africa….Hutus Tutsis…..or are we pretending to be appalled…..cause that’s what major news channels tell us we should be….or not….dependant on how much we, as the west, can rip out of them…..

Major news is now reported biased….FACT…..

we are left scrambling for the truth…..and called conspiracy theorists…..cause we’ve got joined up thinking ;-))

    H.H.

    rant….over….

  21. Wonder if Brendan will go with the 3 strikers at some point. I don’t think he will but what a thought for an opposing team.

  22. Gerryfaethebrig on

    TheTimReaper 10.08

Not sure if Brendan will ever have the luxury of them all being fur at same time !

Still the Griff for me as the best goal scorer

But it’s a terrific problem for Brendan

  23. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    THELURKINTIM

Seems we can’t handle the truth, mate.

It gets dressed up and manufactured out of all recognition by the time it reaches us.

Which is cool, cos we are all happy wi that,eh?

I’ll ask,I’ll question. So will you,so will the future like us

I will never give up. You will never give up. We might piss in the wind, but we know there are others behind us,youth on their side, who can piss stronger.

But they wouldn’t know how or where to piss if we hadn’t shown them.

  24. What is the Stars on

For those who were at the game

What was the verdict on the Dubliner today

In the bits I managed to see on my phone (which kept freezing) he was doing ok ?

  25. BMCUWP,

    the truth IS….it’s unadulterated….and that’s CELTIC…fur noo ;-))
