“The guys who are going to leave will leave, that’s not my department…”

Any departmental updates on outgoing deals for…poetic if they would all leave on ‘freedom day’ !

There’s prob about 10mill in fees – and another 6 in wages freed up – from shipping the wantaways out.

PS Best get Luca Co loaned out – I thought he looked the part. Sad he’s not made any impact upon Ange to date.

Didn’t want to say too much on here about Ange, in case he falls on

his erse, but when you talk to ex players of his it’s very much what you

see, a no nonsense his way or the highway.

Think a few players are in for a shock if they don’t pull their weight.

At the end of the day will he get the time?

Good morning QUAD, how’s things up the coast there?

Looks like a longer lockdown than expected eh ?

Gives us time to peruse all the aul vids of wee Jinky et al.

Bit hill-billy this weather Mick – reminds me of a Glesga spring ;) Still think our Govs are doing a decent job!

BTW – here’s what Thomas Broich (who played under Advocaat btw) said about Ange:

    https://sport.optus.com.au/articles/os8002/broich-on-postecoglou-he-changed-the-football-landscape-and-us-as-people

‘He is THE best manager I ever had and then some. I never experienced anything like that in terms of professionalism: no excuses, very ambitious, reaching for the stars… The way he studied the game – he was a student of Barcelona and Bayern Munich at the time, and he mimicked that style and he had a way of decoding that style and making us understand what is going on. I personally never found it easier playing … there was so much time, space, there were multiple options and the opposition didn’t know what to do. It was him, basically, that made me such a good player. I fell in love with football again… I couldn’t believe the intensity, the sheer will power and willingness to suffer and give your best every day. That really rubbed off … after a while you get to appreciate this and after a while I became like that and I didn’t want to take my (foot off the pedal).”

John’s namesake, his elder son John, told me after the burial, that his mum, sister, younger brother and himself are planning on staying in Glasgow in John’s house in Mosspark.

Said that he was a Rugby man, but his brother and sister were Celtic daft like their father.

The family all want to attend a Celtic match, in honour of their father and husband.

Yes, they’re doing a decent job, as for those idiot removal twats coming

in from NSW infected with covid, which they knew about, and proceeded

to wander about Vic with no masks on ???

    Jail them now.

I dare say John had the odd pint up in the ARGOSY a great Celtic pub

or maybe in the QUO VADIS a bit nearer Mosspark Boulevard where

my wee da resided a few years before he passed.

MM – word I heard was some of the removalists are not being ‘outed’ yet as their real cargo was elicit – and authorities dont want to affect a possible prosecution. So yes, the slammer awaits but mibby on multiple counts.

Utter bawbaggery that their actions costs so much in trade and stress.

This guy Ange Postecoglou will have HIS players playing like Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United team. Identical fitba philosophy Marcelo and Angelo.

    Celtic fans need Patience.

I feel Ange is a bit special. 👍🍀💚

One thing about lockdowns, you have plenty of time to sit

and think about your life, family, and old friends.

I’m presently wondering about BIGYINMILAN and SOUTH OF TUNIS.

Don’t suppose there’s been any news about them that I’ve missed ?

Drove down to Helensburgh last week with my grandson and granddaughter.

Both wearing Celtic kit. Were odd ones out.

    Full of huns.

I decided to leave Helensburgh early and visit a Castle on a volcanic Rock.

Dumbarton didn’t disappoint. All weans in Celtic taps we met.

    Fenians of the Rock. 👍🍀💚

I watched a bit of the USA v Canada Gold Cup match and it got me wondering if Celtic are scouting in Canada. It could be a decent market for an experienced internationalists (for ease of meeting work permit issues), and no language barrier. Many players must have Scottish roots that may provide that extra incentive to make the move. Any of our resident posters living there have an informed opinion?

BTW, I was impressed with what I saw of Canada’s No.12 but did not catch his name.

A plea to every Celtic supporter and to our incompetent Board.

Support Ange Postecoglou, and we will all reap the rewards.

Angelo Postecoglou is the real deal, as Scotland is about to find out. 💪🍀💚💛

  17. Tontine Tim,

Enjoyed (?) reading your report of the good old days 50s/60s.

I was 9 years old at my 1st Scottish cup final in 1955. One, Zero defeat by Clyde in a replay. A few cup finals later I was 19 before I finally saw us lift the cup in 1965 against Dunferline. I remember standing in the Celtic end hugging an “Old Boy” with tears streaming down his face.

I had a ground season ticket then (Janefield Street) and it got you into the reserve games. If the games were played on a Friday there was no “pie & bovril” it was a cup of tea and a cake.

I remember Neilly Mochan scoring 5 against St Mirren and his boots were kept in the trophy room. Wonder if they are still there.

Us auld timers had a poor start (trophy wise) supporting Celtic but we managed to see us crowned Champions of Europe and two 9 “in a rows”. At 75 i’ve hopefully time for another 9.

Best of luck to Ange and his attacking philosphy. When we start getting fans in supporting the Celts it will seem like a new dawn and hopefully the players will be lifted.

What happened last season? A team who won 12 trophies is a row to winning zilch!! Could it be not happy with, bonuses for 9 in a row or bonuses for a Quadriple Treble and 10 in a row. Something went badly wrong last season and I would like to know the answers

Anyway living in Indonesia, I’ll be bouncing out of bed at 01:30 on Wednesday to get the tele set up for the latest instalment of “Supporting The Famous Glasgow Celtic” HH

Still amazes me how many of the Celtic family live around the world.

I don’t know if you remember we had a list a while back, who was the

furthest away Celt from Celtic Park ? and a good Tim down in NZ won

    it.

Posts were good fun then, informative, passionate, sad, and honest in

equal measure, now it’s mostly whinge..whinge as I said previous “I

    MELBOURNE MICK,

Yes I do remember that list, (and quite a few others too!) Tarangua Bhoy from NZ, was it not?

question: we have two choices for desert

what would you like 1. a cake or 2. a kick in the nuts

answers 1 its not chocolate cake dont eat chocolate

    2 is it gluten free?

    3 is it organic

Really lookin forward to the next game, no reservations .

Im not Ange or any sort off football guru but have no worries about what happens in the CL, perhaps we may be beaten by a cricket score(oi oi oi ) lol. BUT it is just another not so friendly pre-season game. Better to see what we have or dont have than play players that let us down again and again last year.

danna for the trolls: JK aka ‘coneman ‘ is picking the team! FFS.

welcome tae Scotland Ange “boss” Poasticogulu, se’ll
