  1. Still buzzing and this result is getting good sports news coverage here downunder.

SEN – a sports only station – has a nice interview by an ex-AFL star with Ange post-game, where the Boss offered more insight about how he gets and respects our fanbase. Enjoy:

  3. big shout out for Greg Taylor – outstanding performance and warrior like work rate!

O’Riley reminds me if Glenn Hoddle, so calm and intelligent and elegant on the ball.

    I can’t remember a 45mins like that – its could/should have been 6 at half time.

Finally – Captain Mcgregor from start to finish – had awareness at the end to calm the players down – 3 points , onto the next one!

  4. What a first half… game was over by HT!

In the SPL we’ve now completed 2 full rounds of fixtures – so comparisons can be fairly drawn.

The much maligned Celtic defence has conceded 13 goals in the SPL – compare and contrast this to our much-praised city rivals defence who have now conceded 21 goals!

    :)

    C’mon the Hoops!

  5. Grafitti on the wall says we are Incredible.

No Huns in the Holy Ground, so I met my Son in the Stadium Arcadium and it was red hot chilli Celtic when he arrived. Incredible atmosphere last night.

  6. Good morning all cqners across the Globe from a beautiful Thursday morning in the Garngad

Ange hat doffed sir, imagine another transfer window under his belt, we will be winning the Champions league nae World cup…. ok a bit carried away.

But geez that 1st half we blew them away.

2nd half you expect the opposition to come at you being 3-0 down, so I’m not to concerned about legs etc

Any word on Abada going off injured?

Good morning all from Govanhill. On the wagon for February, I sure picked the right time. 😄

  9. DRAMBOWIECELT on 3RD FEBRUARY 2022 3:01 AM

    …………

Ive been up since just after 4am, and on my third Cup of Tea, so Ive just had a long READ BACK.

Hopefully one day we can arrange a MEET and have a few Beers, and I can give you a wee present for Wee INDIE ?

Im STILL ” BUZZIN” after last nights performance and goals.

At his 2nd Goal, and given that he jut stood STILL with his arms out stretched in celebration was ( as some have already indicated), was SO LIKE Wee Lubo when he scored his FIRST Gol against the Huns on 21st November 1998 in our 5-1 win !

BEFORE the game last night, I had THREE Bets on with my Online Bookie ( Correct Score Bets)…I had taken Celtic to win ” 3-2, 6-1 and 6-0″.

I must admit that at Half Time, I really began to believe that Celtic WOULD Score SIX !

    No matter.

It was to be expected that Celtic would not be able to keep up the PACE that they had shown in the 1st half, and with some players NOT being FULLY FIT ( HATATE…for one), so in the 2nd half our game management was very good, including the Timing of using Subs etc.

Good morning all from Govanhill. On the wagon for February, I sure picked the right time. 😄

    ………..

Im sorry to read that you are now ” On the Wagon” for February) cos I enjoy your Post from many locations on a daily basis…so much so that Ive started to call you…..” ALAN WHICKER” !

    LOL.

    HH Mate.

  12. Ange, obviously delighted & so honest in his post-match interview – his confidence growing and his management style vindicated. However as he alluded to, the business of winning the title starts now and there are battles ahead. Our manager has, from day-one, always said that he is happy with his backroom staff – therefore John Kennedy, Gavin Strachan & Stephen McManus, must also be commended. These guys, especially JK & GS, have been the subject of so much harsh & vicious criticism – I am delighted for them.

Paul’s piece from yesterday highlighted the extraordinary trials and tribulations that we have had to overcome so far this season with injuries, illness & international call-ups. Our transformation from close-season chaos and early season mis-firing, to now ‘looking the part’ is astonishing – last night clearly showed the progress that has been made.

Soon we will have a full squad to choose from and amazingly there is now strong competition for places in all areas of the team – that in itself is also astonishing.

Last night’s performance has set the standard – if we play at that level for the remainder of the season, we are a good bet for the treble.

Big Jimmy, I’ll be posting from the Saltmarket, beginning of March. 😁🍺

    …………

I will certainly meet up with you then for a wee Bevvy.

Ive had a Sober January although that has been forced on me due to feeling a bit under the weather. I would love to go out Today and raise a glass or Ten to The Celts last night, but I will be staying at home methinks…FOR NOW.

    LOL.

The World is a brighter place this morning.

  16. MELBOURNE MICK…

I hope that all you Tims in OZ enjoyed another ” DEMOLITION DERBY” last night.

the Super Celts were just….SUPER !

    HH from The CALTON.

  17. Some excellent performances last night. I thought aside from the obvious plaudits Hatate will receive, CCV was dominant and snuffed out any threat from Roofe, Juranovic and Abada were fantastic on the right and GG again puts in a big performance in a big game. Also Taylor’s best performance in a Celtic shirt.

Hatate wins MOTM for his goals and assist, but for overall performance, Juranovic was immense.

  18. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

Cut Barasic some slack. He obviously needed a dump and was unable to go with Abada’s run.

For sheer GIFUY, that was my favourite goal..

  19. Wondered why I had a sore neck this morning. Now remember that watching the game on TV at mates house, I did a forward roll at the 3rd goal.

No idea why, I just did. I wasn’t even drinking.

At the age of 62 and with more weight than necessary, not a good combination.

Easing off already so it’ll be fine.
