Did you see the size of the wrapping on Kyogos hamstring?

    I didn’t

But good or bad it’ll need treatment

  2. Great result..but at what cost.

We could be linimh up Mikey Johnston leading the line…dearie me!

That’ll be the ice pack. Hamstring is usually 3 weeks minimum. If a player can walk off without limping its usually a 3 week job. Ajeti looked worse. Some players heal quicker than others. Hoping kyogo is on that category but his style of play requires full healing before we would want to risk him again.

  4. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Ange’s process nearing fruit.

Puts out reserves and still wins.

    Scunnered by the injuries though

  5. The accountants will be happy with the win. Let’s hope Kyogo isn’t too bad but if he’s out for only a week he could miss two league games and a cup final. It was just plain stupid to bring him on.

  6. Huns go through on 8 points in a poor group. We go out with 9 points in a far tougher group. No justice.

  7. onenightinlisbon on

Ange has done very little wrong so far but putting Kyogo on was the most ridiculous decision.

  8. can’t get excited with the win , more concerned with the managers decision to bring on our only fit forward.

  9. Grumble all we want but how many woulda picked a 3-2 victory for the stiffs against a La Liga side.

Great win for these young bucks.

I felt Urhogide and Shaw got better as the game went on.

    Scales looks composed.

Mikey J; de-composed. And he’s our main fit forward.

  10. An Dun. It looked like a hamstring. 3-4 weeks. Possibly every game until the break. Utterly insane decision.

    Total agreement.

  12. Rather than get too down over kyogo injury,I will take a page out of Auldheids book and see how it goes.

    Thanks for updates.

  13. I would say we need 4/5 players brought in January, but league will probably be over by then in Kyogo is out

  14. onenightinlisbon on

The fact that we have no striker i reserve really puts the decision to play Kyogo under the spotlight. How could the manager think this was the right thing to do in a meaningless match? Beat Betis in a dead rubber and possibly drop points in the league and lose a cup final. Totally scunnered.

  15. Well just had a quick look back at the comments on here and can’t help but feel sad.

We had a bunch of kids out, some making their competitive debuts and others playing first game in months for the first team.

No crowd support at all for most of the game.

We beat a team who despite changes had a strong and experienced team who badly wanted to win.

But still some of the usual old moaning armchair Qtr backs on here want to slaughter their own team and find scapegoats as the game unfolds.

Faithful through and through. Aye right.

    Pathetic

  16. Can’t fault any of the players tonight

Would have eaten my left nut for a result like that

The Postecoglou Roadshow rolls on (promise I didnt cut and paste Ange’s surname lol)

  17. Well done to all the Celtic players tonight, everybody contributed to a famous victory.

Then again that is coming from a Celtic supporter……

    Not a snowflake

  18. Nine players 22 years old or younger .

Winning against a Spanish top 3 team.

    All things consdiered..no bad.

  19. A good scalp, some very promising individual performances and an all round entertaining game (6-6 on aggregate against Betis – never a dull moment with Ange).

Still, terrifying to think we might not have a recognised striker before the Sevco game.

A misjudgement from Ange to bring on Kyogo, but more generally the fault sits with our parsimonious approach to all things first team and football related. A real sickner.

  20. Project isn’t even half finished.

Some of the play from the benchwarmers — and MJ — was playground stuff from bookworms who would rather have been in the library.

The lack of balance / energy / accuracy / urgency was shocking.

We will need more than 3 first teamers in Jan.

A new boot supplier would also help.

  21. Don’t know what to make of that !

Inexcusable decision to put Kyogo on.

As bad a decision as not closing the game out for the last 7 minutes against Leverkusen.

Bain is a poor second keeper.

Abada has a long way to go.

    Urhoghide, needs coaching.

Johnston , no brain for football.

    McCarthy, way off the pace.

Soro, determined, but too many frees.

    On the positive side.

    Henderson looks really good.

Scales will be a regular, coolness personified.

But above all, ridiculous decision regarding Kyogo.

  22. Apart from the decision to bring on Koyogo, over the proverbial, a few showed they are not up to it and another few showed they are, FFS Ange, get a grip, that was a major eff up, but the only silver lining is that the board may well indulge you ASAP and get a few in early doors, but knowing them I won’t be holding my breath.

  23. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

Well done B team against far superior opposition. Kyogo getting injured in this of all games is beyond parody. Is that 5 players out with hammys? Our physio team should be sacked. Season after season if soft tissue injuries. Stealing a wage.

Scales, Urhoghide and Welsh all did great.

I remain intrigued about why Ewan Henderson is so far down the pecking order.

Soro has to go. Shaw looks like a trier, but mediocre.

Mikey Johnston needs to be sold. Set up one goal, sold two and embarrassed professional football with that clusterfeck breakaway. Contemptible.

I’m sure St Rochs would take him.

  24. ONIL / ST Tams

Glad you found something to be miserable about.

Plenty of fans who actually went to the game had a great time tonight despite the silent protest.

  25. Is it £500,000 grand for a win???

    Get that into you…….

    ……you know who you are
