  1. Here is an article re Sevco’s injuries being down by 50% due to the new AI program they have utilised: https://www.rangersreview.co.uk/features/19726347.rangers-innovative-use-artificial-intelligence-reduced-injuries-50-percent-en-route-55/

I think Grenada did something similar in La Liga. I’m sure other top teams have done the same thing.

Ask yourself how the hell Sevco can obtain and utilise this technology and yet here we are with multiple soft tissues injuries.

We continue to be badly run in the boardroom.

  2. Control the things you can control, don’t waste energy on those you can’t. Players who can’t play can’t help us on Sunday. So don’t waste the energy on worrying about it.

Big Urighide looks raw football wise but physically has the attributes to do well in the game. Scales is decent.

Exciting game. Some promising stuff. Some projects further advanced than others.

Solution needed for our injury hit forward line.

Might I suggest no more posts anywhere ever about us getting the squad back to full strength. Tempting fate never works out well.

  3. Shame about the injury, as Big Wavy said it could have happened at the weekend

Incredible improvement from Celtic under Ange.

  4. Park looked like an ice rink tonight dont know if they had the sprinklers on and it was freezing up but maybe that was a factor in these injuries when players are stretching you also dont want to slip, good result but not worth the cost.

  5. JK or GS should have had a word with ange prior to bringing on Kyoto or had they lost their voice or just sat on their hands and not get involved , poor management all round.

  6. I agree with Big Wavy, Kyogo could just as well have done his hammy in first 5 minutes next Sunday.

It was a brave but Kamikaze type track back & tackle by the wee mhan.

St. Tams makes mention that only one player under 20 out there but that is selective, I’d prefer the Stat that there were 9 under 22.

There is no doubt at all that we will miss the wee mhan but we will have eleven men better than the opposition eleven in every game between now & Christmas, so no point in hand wringing & feeling sorry for ourselves,

Just go out & beat Motherwell next Sunday & review position after that,

  7. Kyogo could have got injured on Sunday, or next Wednesday, but you reduce the risk of injury by giving him more recovery time.

Playing him tonight was an indefensible piece of stupidity.

  8. CORKCELT on 9TH DECEMBER 2021 10:35 PM

True. Celtic should have the players and resources to beat Motherwell at home and Ross County away with or without Jota and Kyogo.

However, it’s the Sevco game I’m concerned about. With us trailing by four points, this is the biggest derby against them in years.

  9. Urhoghide grew into the game as it progressed.

Far from finished article but he is one tough looking Dude, I think with proper coaching this ghuy could become a second Bobo.

  10. The way we play, 90 minutes plus of high intensity means our players are always going to be at risk of muscle injuries

None of us knows what our sport science abd fitness conditioning department looks like. You’d be guessing if you said you did

  11. Setbacks are also opportunities.

If you look at them any other way in sport you lose. Probably in life generally.

Is there a B team striker ready for a run out or will some of the first team players step up with the goals we will need I the next few weeks?

There are goals in all parts of the team. Over reliance on forwards is never good.

Sunday is all that matters now.

He was out back now, i hope anyway, I would play abada centrally as he looks better to me down the middle using pace and ghosting in, need someone wide right to maintain the shape maybe Henderson can get role for a time

  13. There is no way Koyogo should have been on the park.

Then for him to be running like a hare to shut stupid plays down, someone should have been screaming at him to calm down as we all were or whip him back off.

I just hope it’s not a bad one.

    D :)

Playing him tonight was an indefensible piece of stupidity.

Stan Petrov, who knows a thing or two about injuries to professional footballers out foreword a pretty sensible argument for putting him on

    I’ll go with the professional

  15. danny o'velinski on

Liam Scales style of running is a cross between

Davie Hay / Liam Neeson in (Michael Collins, Taken, etc) films.

    Ange is an idealist.

If Ange was a shrewd shady cookie the PLC would’ve ran a mile.

  16. I agree GEEBEE, the Hun game is the one that bothers me as well but it is what it is, we have to put our trust in the squad & sometimes in adversary ghuys will step up & become heroes.

  17. Off the mark uro is slow but he doesnt chuck it and gets back in played fine, Montgomery struggled I thought.

  18. Easy to blame it all on the Boss who, btw, just engineered a 3-2 win over a good Spanish team.

But of Kyogo himself; I know it’s in his DNA but the did the we man need to bust his gut to make a challenge on the halfway line? Love the kid to bits but could he have managed himself within the game?

Accidents will happen. Mibby we’re getting our Dubai luck out of the road early for a good run in 2022? HH

  19. Dessybhoy – Cheers, I am scunnered with Kyogo injury as it was rest he needed then we play him.

Anyway as you say other players have a chance to step up.

Our squad was already threadbare and we were in limp mode to January I make it 8 or 9 players out now with Injury and probably most are hamstring injury’s.

    D :)

  20. Real Betis made more changes than Celtic , but none the less the astonishing Ange was fearless in selection given both squads, has no wantaways, or lethargy at his Lennoxtown. Not one of his squad underperformed, they are playing for him regardless of how long they don’t get a game, all of them want to play. Ballsy management with sweeping changes, and sign posting that re-enforcement will come in January, he threw down the gauntlet to a Celtic side that must be in contention, to prize away the part pre ordained league, Celtic supporters buy into, or don’t.

Fine performances from Welsh, McCarthy, Urhoghide, Scales, Shaw, Montgomery, Henderson, and Johnston saw Celtic management and spirit not evident in the silent season, that cost us consecutive titles. If Celtic are to pull this off starting again on Sunday, it’ll be a minor miracle regardless of financial chasms, the obstacle that exists is continues to be assisted.

Seven games in 22 days ? and a cast that might diminish, but a philosophy that can’t.

    M.O.M Stephen Welsh ( Coatbridge CSC )

  21. Anyway, I think beating a team sitting third in La Liga with a second string team should be cause for optimism.

Easy to forget we had one first team starter in our starting 11, we have a squad of players who look comfortable playing Ange’sq

  22. danny o'velinski on

    ROBERTTRESSELL on 9TH DECEMBER 2021 10:43 PM

Corkcelt- I think Uroghide might look more comfortable at CB. Certainly has the attributes fir the defending bit.

    _________

Every defender looks good if you put a bus in front of them.

Greg Taylor at Killie for example.

If the midfield is full of big glaring gaps then defenders can all be got at, and made an example of.

  23. Maybe get the Japanese striker in on Jan1 is that possible, should be open for registrations.Doubt we will see Kyogo until after the winter break.

  24. Joe Harte

    Juranovic, Starfelt, CCV, Taylor

    Mcgregor

    Turnbull, Rogic

    Forest, Abada, Johnstone

That’s the team for me on Sunday.

I’m not quite buying the full on critique of Mikey J. There’s a player in there. Thought he was much better against DUFC on Sunday and provided a great assist tonight.

  25. My friends in Celtic,

Under Ange, there is no such thing as a ” dead rubber”.

We play the Glasgow Celtic way, our jersey’s don’t shrink and we play for pride.

We play for the supporters who turned out in numbers on a cold, wet, horrible night, when the easy option was to pour a malt and watch the game in your armchair.

We play for the 9 points that history will record and we play because it’s the right thing to do.

Ange will not short change our fans, many of whom had travelled vast distances.

We shake ourselves, we evaluate and we move on.

HH to all, the journey continues.

  26. they made 9 changes to their team who won at Barca last weekend , so they were not at full strength either.

  27. GB78

Think he had an arthoscopy to clean his knee out its minor but he hasnt been fit since he came here.Recovery normally should only be 3 weeks.

  28. thems the only team to qualify with 8 points, we had the worst goals ( 15) conceded by any of the teams in the groups
