Correct – I wonder if Kyogo would have got on if we were 1-0 down.

Think Ange changed his mind about the game and it cost us,

  2. I guess if you’re determined to be angry, not even Celtic winning as well as we did tonight is going to stop you

  3. ( changes or not they were trying to win the game and like us brought on 1st teamers in Juanmi and Canales

  4. AP is prone to the odd brain fart — and tonight’s was a cracker.

The game was played as a dead rubber match and it showed.

Tells us nothing apart from the players with flaws still have flaws.

GB keeping their traps shut — they obviously are more important than the team.

Playing the stiffs was not a great idea — 5 changes too many.

SB is scared of his own shadow — one good save and 10 juggling acts.

He needs to go — nowhere near the standard of back up we need.

KF did a lot of pressing / running about because he saw so little from anyone else.

Too many in team need specialised coaching to improve their intensity and their speed.

At times they looked like a bunch of dad dancers trying to throw some shapes.

Our cheapskate approach to sports medicine / training / conditioning shames us.

Another fail to lay at the door of DD / PL the board — they are completely useless.

Shocking that we have no-one in the B team / U21’s ready to step up.

We are down to a can’t be ersed jaikey destroying his reputation on loan.

    Not good.

For the late Gary Duncan (RIP), I hope the young fellow Liam Shaw puts in a good showing.

Gary rated this young man so hope he’s a guid yin. ✌ 💚 🙏 YNWA Gary!

    Skank multi monikered fuckwit.

Your spelling my late friends name incorrectly

Just saying.stick to your clickbait shoite on stopping refugees coming into the country.

  6. Ange has created a remarkable turnaround in 6 months from last year’s shambles, but to even have Kyogo on the bench, and then put him on,was totally reckless, and could cost us the league.

  7. Johnston should have come at the time Kyogo did, Kyogo should have come on along with Turnbull and McGregor, por cierto

Very very interesting post – thank you for bring it to our attention.

Modt probably this AI path was set in motion by Ross Wilson – in my view the best *Rangers signing since the new club was formed. His success in player & management recruitment is integral to the recent success at Ibrox.

I have a special interest in AI & Genomics and the future impact on medicine, particulary the eradication at the embryo stage of single gene diseases.

Jamie Metzl in his magnificent book ‘Hacking Darwin’ says this: “the future of medicine will rely on artificial intelligence, because biology is too complex for humans to understand”

So it seems as though Ibrox has stolen a march on us in an area that is now reeking havoc on our ability to compete.

Some of us seem preoccupied with *Rangers behaviour, e.g. finances and what they did to obtain a UEFA licence nine years ago( Res 12 navel-gazing).

Look, we can criticize their methods off the field till the cows come home, but it’s their performance on it and in Sports Science that we have to better.

  9. MJ — we are not good enough / big enough to write him off.

However he needs a lot of specialised coaching and support.

I fear his football confidence is about to shatter.

The mistakes are just so big / blatant / bonkers mental.

He needs support and hopefully he will get it from us.

If not then he is going to be the king of 5’s somewhere local.

He doesn’t seem to understand the size of a full sized pitch.

Plus he is stone daft far to far into his senior career.

Biggest issue is that he does not appear to be learning.

Tough gig but we need to try and help him.

KD breaking his ankle has removed a learning opportunity at training.

We need to glue his confidence back together.

Playing “THE GLASGOW GLASGOW CELTIC WAY” has resulted in Celtic being reduced to competing amongst the European losers.

    That’s not TGCW.

That’s the, Brady, Burns, Dr Jo, Barnes, Mowbray, etc way.

Its the Celtic way not to look like also-rans.

But we do look like also-rans.

In Europe that’s the certainly the case.

Will it be the same domestically?

    Who knows?

    If none, why not?

  12. Only Bayer Leverkusen, Lyon and Napoli scored more goals than Celtic in the Europa League groups

After two early gubbings we won 3 out of 4 and lost narrowly in Germany. We had the best record of any team finishing third in a group, in a group with as a pair the best two teams.

Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester finished third with fewer points.

  13. Full and open house on standby you peice of shite.

The football gods conspired to give us in the EuL 21/22 a CL group from 22/23.

Or at least a fair impression of a CL group 22/23 — BL are still right in the Top 4 mix.

I think they are punching above their weight — but only time will tell.

We have played the 6 games with a new manager and a half baked / lop sided squad and managed to play some good football even if the results were a disappointment and our flaws were ruthlessly exposed by our opponents all too often.

It takes some doing to get beat 4-0 and have the opposition GK their man of the match.

The green and white shoots were all in show over the 6 games — just a case that some need a bit of pruning to show us at our best. Consequently less of the negativity — a more balanced viewpoint would be most welcome.

Unless your analysis is always going to partial / forced / slanted regarding football played at CP.

For whatever reasons I don’t know — what floats your boat?

Would that be a rowing boat per chance?

  15. Kyogo played the better part of an hour and Celtic never scored. And yet when he wasn’t playing we scored 3 times and had one chalked off. I think we’ll be fine.

  19. Enjoyed the game tonight, good result and good to see some of the younger boys doing well, I know they are not that young as someone pointed out. Yes Betis rested a few players but are a good team.

The park from where I was sitting was fine not frozen again as a poster suggested earlier.

Kyogo could get injured in any game he plays due to his enthusiasm, The manager knows what he brings to the team. If he would have been left on the bench and we got beat there would be moans galore.

We will get to new year undefeated imo regardless of Injuries.

For the folk not at the game the atmosphere was ok minus the Gb singing, fans were generally happy with the performance. However without the GBs enthusiasm it’s not the same. HH 🍀

  20. prestonpans bhoys on

Just in and aff to my bed, why Kyogo was even on the bench was bad management considering the December fixtures, neither mind the mob on the 2nd😕

  21. Hard to believe some of the comments tonight. Most were happy to see Ange put out a B team but as soon as the game started these B players were getting pelters from the greatest fans in the world. Even when we win there is the “but they had a B team out too”. Yeah, a B team with genuine internationalists.

Just because you have the opportunity and ability at your fingertips to spout negative shite doesn’t mean you have to or should do

  22. Kyogo played the better part of an hour and Celtic didn’t score. Celtic scored 3 and had one called back when he wasn’t playing. I think we’ll be fine.

“I guess if you’re determined to be angry, not even Celtic winning as well as we did tonight is going to stop you”

    ———————————————————–

Comment of the night as far as I am concerned. Realy hard to understand the anger tonight. Our B team beat Betis- 3rd in La Liga.

I expected nothing from this match and these bhoys gave me great joy- an emotion that seems to esape a few on here

Sure – the Kyogo injury is a big blow but it really could have happened anytime- even away from a football match.

If we need one player to win a league then we are probably not going to win it. We will survive the loss of Kyogo and Jota and whoever else is out because there are some waiting for their chance.

Finally, Mikey Johnston. We all saw what he did wrong tonight but he also contributed to 2 of our goals. He will remain disappointed that he has not done himself justice…………………

    yet…………

But with these injuries we are probably going to see an extended run for him and that is much needed to provide security so that you don’t always feel you have to try the spectacular or the edgy. No one can thrive with that demand. I still have confidence in the bhoy. I prefer players that can play but make mistakes to players who can’t play but are very saferty conscious.

  24. We have few pointing out the phenomenon of some healthy platers collapsing on the pitch as they associate this as supporting an anti-vaccine stance.

They are not being even handed unlesss they highlight the other side of the equation:-

“Bayern Munich utility man Joshua Kimmich has been ruled out until the New Year after suffering a lung problem as a result of Covid-19.

Kimmich, 26, who admitted he had not been vaccinated against the virus in October, tested positive last month.

His quarantine period ended on Wednesday.

Kimmich said he is now “fine” but added he is not yet allowed to push his body to the limit “due to slight infiltration” on his lungs.

“I’m dying to get started and to be with the team,” Kimmich said on Instagram.

“However, I have to be patient a little longer. I’ll watch the remaining three games this year from the couch and we’ll attack together again from January.”

The German international, who can play in defence and midfield, was initially forced to isolate after coming into contact with a positive case, which meant he missed a 2-1 defeat by Ausburg.

He was then absent for Bundesliga matches against Arminia Bielefeld and Borussia Dortmund, as well as Champions League games against Dynamo Kyiv and Barcelona, because he had the virus.

Kimmich previously suggested scepticism stopped him getting jabbed, but added that there was a “very good chance” he would in the future.

He will be unavailable against Mainz, Stuttgart and Wolfsburg before the Bundesliga winter break.”

    Who might you mean?

And how do you know they weren’t at the game?

Given your tone, would you understand if these folk that you mention, actually do go to the games but would rather the ‘guff tones’ don’t know were these folk sit?

And who appointed you as Mr Celtic?

  28. We beat a top class team tonight…changes to both teams…but they are still a top class team…3rd in La Liga…just as Bayer Leverkusen are in their league. Players get injuries all the time..I’m upset about Kyogo’s injury…but we move on…we should still have enough talent in our squad to cope for the next few games…as we saw tonight…squad players stepped up…and all you Timposters GIRFUY…

  29. We are gutted about the loss of Kyogo.

We all agree that we would rather not have seen him tonight.

I love the way he chases down every ball, closes down defenders and keeper.

However tonight in a meaningless game did he have to use every bit of available energy in every run?

About 10 mins before he went off , I discussed this with the guy sitting beside me. We wanted him in cotton wool, but at the same time loved seeing his effort.

Next fastest performance on the pitch was the kids who ran on at half time. Not condoning but it was a high comedy Keystone Cops moment when two of the stewards collided with each other trying to catch one of them.

If anyone has filmed that it will get a million like on twitter.
