   I’ll never bet against Celtic but betting that the first goal will be scored in the first 10 minutes in each of our games this season would probably have put me ahead for the season. Shambles.

    

    

   Still, plenty of time to get it back, as in our last game v Rennes. Support in great voice.

    not many keepers would have risked coming for that corner

     

     

    hit at pace and outswing.the problem was our defence static- unable to make a matching run to combat their runners

     

     

    afraid to say a classic case of ‘I’ll get it..no..after you ..no, no after you’

    I thought I’d wait until we lost our usual goal in the first 5 minutes before logging on, and my sarcasm turned out to be realism.

     

     

    I note that after 15 minutes of the game the BBC match stats state that there has been a grand total of 1 shot ON target and none OFF target… and Rennes are 1-0 up. So why exactly do we bother playing a ‘keeper if every opposition shot that is on target goes into the goal? We may aswell play an extra midfielder and keep them in their own half!

     

     

    As for the defence, do we:

     

     

    (a) Stand all 11 players along the goal line for opposition corners?

     

     

    or

     

     

    (b) Cancel the contracts of our entire defence (on grounds of incapability) and buy Hearts’ defence, which, it seems, they would be more than happy to offload for any reasonable bid?
