    Missed the first 10 mins, but then saw Rennes in control, but Celtic fighting

     

    Forrest, Sammi, McCourt, Wanyama and of course Stokes V Good

    Kayal seems a liability though, as does Dan – and as ever Cha

    I think Kayal is getting alot of harsh comments, he is doing more closing down on the pitch than anyone. Working very hard. Wanyama, Cha and McCourt have been very wasteful in there passing which is putting us under extra pressure

    the strange fairytale continues, 1:46 into the game Rennes score due to some woeful defending, then Celtic grit the teeth and we start to play, Victor Wanyama – take a bow, and Georgie, then some good play and build up generally and GOALS (Stokes x2)

    Thanks for that 19.40 link. An excellent feed. Well worth £1.99. The commentator is excellent. No bias whatsoever. He cannot pronounce Majstorovic`s name properly so he is obviously not a Tim, just a professional commentator who can do his job. I then come on here and see that Burley is up to his usual nonsense. Impressive game of football so far. Paddy was awful to start with but is beginning to show. Kayal is trying too hard and sometimes runs out of position. I have hardly noticed Loovens and Majstorovic whereas I am usually staring at them and petrified! Matthews looks excellent again. Forrest very dangerous. Stokes wonderful finishing (so, so important) and Sammi doing a terrific job.I am still nervous (well, I am a Celtic supporter) but so far so good.

    If the corruption in the Scottish game results in a rule change to suit Rangers this league will not be as good as the Irish League in five years, and I’d like to think we would have been gone two years by the time that happens, as I would be in favour of us submitting our resignation the minute that decision was ratified.

     

     

    Where we end up, that’s going to be down to UEFA, but anywhere would be better than this.

    I really like Wanyama. Just the sort you’d go for a beer with and stare at huns. Only 19? Great prospect. The team is almost the way I’ve said about before–Wanyama and Kayal to battle, big Sammi as a midfielder, and Paddy passing it about. The Rennes boys are watching McCourt like a hawk, and freeing up a bit of space. But please, Wanyama, Ledley, Kayal and Sammi with Forrest as a midfield 5. Stokes as predator. It’ll work.
