    Stevie has clearly injected some steel into those in his care, getting them to focus hard on that crucial post-86 minutes period. His work is done. The league is theirs. Now we arra 90-minute peepul!

    Shi**y g will be full of it now – 90 min game, resilience , however the same problems are there from last year – can’t dominated teams, leak goals .

    A couple of points re Killie v sevco.

     

    Killie really are woeful in the air. Neither keeper had much to do. Killie paid them far too much respect ( been listening to the media), had they came out to play in the first half the score might have been very different.

     

    We would have hammered both those teams on yesterday’s performance. Still a long way to go and plenty of time for the MIB’s to strut their stuff.

    Although his last game for old Rangers was in 2009, I thought Sevco’s best player today was Chris Burke. He allowed Sevco acres of space down their left hand side. He took one awful corner, which didn’t just not clear the first defender, it didn’t clear his knees. He literally did not raise one bit of energy, and chickened out of balls that were 70-30 in his favour. Shameful display.

     

    As for the Stevie Gee Machine. Well they’re coming, but they’re coming in a very unimpressive fashion, from a very long way behind us. Only note of caution was maybe that they cannot play that badly again. If thy do, then they will struggle to get top six.

    All 3 goals from the appropriately named Rugby Park came from set pieces: a Killie free kick and 2 sevco corners.

     

     

    The defending of all 3 was comical but Killie defenders paid the price for being more interested in grappling with Sevco players than in attacking the ball. If Goldson hadn’t scored, Collum had the choice of 3 separate penalties to award to Tavernier.

     

     

    Both teams have got off to a good start. We made a stylish start with many goals scored and they got 3 points at a tricky away ground.

     

     

    There is a long way to go. The picture of the league will not clear up until we are around 10 games into the league.

    Had the pleasure of watching yesterday’s game with the Paphos CSC at the Buzz Bar.

     

    Must have been 40+ Celtic fans in the pub.

     

     

    I would think Ryan Christie would be signing a big £1m x 5 year contract this month.

     

     

    Getting Ajer on a new deal and keeping KT would be some boost too.

    Took the opportunity to check out Erik Sviatchenko playing for Midtjylland right now. He is playing as a sweeper. Unfortunately, he looks very ponderous and Aalborg have almost benefitted twice now from his lack of fleetness.

    Not suggesting for a minute that the 3rd official is anything like a decent fair bloke…but

     

    The two clips aint fair .

     

    One is exactly as killie score

     

    The other is a 90 secs or so after Rangers scored NOT directly as the goal went in.

     

    The rangers keeper even has the ball in his hands.
