This is the beginning of the rest of your life.

You better start grafting cause you’re running out of time.

    It’s a canter. Unless you’re a wanker.

  2. Maybe a daft question…

How many times in the recent past has flag day not been live on a channel?

Asking for a hun pal. :(((

  3. Sips.

    Morning.

    Last year wasn’t televised either.

Then 2016, we started with an away game, at Tynecastle, flag day, was at a Champions League qualifier.

We were playing Inter Milan, in a tournament and asked for a fixture to be postponed.

Cheers for the update Jimmy, my memory only stretches back to yesterday.

It was one of my hun mates that touched on it yesterday,

It put the seed in the heid that it was the usual hun monkey agenda. HH

  5. Good morning CQN from a rain soaked Garngad

Great all round team performance yesterday with great football and goals.

    Bring on the Clujy.

Good to see DD posting again hail hail amigo.

    Come on Lennys Lions

  6. Good morning to all shiny happy Tim’s.

I wasn’t convinced by Neil’s 2nd coming. On the evidence so far he appears to have the team playing slicker, faster with more direction and purpose than he who dumped us for run of the mill EPL tourists.

I hope it continues and what we have seen so far is not due more to poor quality opposition than great quality football. Although it is likely somewhere in the middle pushing towards the latter.

    Tim will tell.

    MWD delighted so far.

Hello again all you young rebels.

Aren’t our bhoys looking good? early days i know but they are playing

super quick passing, great individual skills and what looks to me as a

determination about them to wrap up the 9.

Our own u17 youths here on the peninsula were on fire today against

a Mount Martha team, 11-0 with the weemhan and his big African strike

    mate getting hattricks each.

Felt sorry for their boys but we made one of them and his dad smile

when we tapped him up for next season, it wasn’t just his da’s Celtic

top that appealed to us, the bhoy was their only good player on the day.

I was wondering why you hadn`t repaid that fifty quid I loaned you the day before yesterday.

  9. One of the many good things I liked about yesterday was the fact that the team played the last five minutes as though we were only drawing. Total commitment.

Many supporters won`t have seen that, of course, because thousands left after the fifth goal. Is part of the reason for that something to do with Supporters` Busses departure?

  10. According to the `Lone Celt Forrest` CQN article, ` JAMES FORREST is the sole survivor from the EIGHTEEN players in the Celtic squad that kicked off the eight-in-a-row title charge.`

    Where was Broonie that day?

  11. Hot Smoked. That is one thing that annoys me any time I visit Paradise, this vast exodus that starts with 10 minutes to go. I accept it’s about beating traffic etc but bloody Hell, you spend hours anyway & plenty of dosh going to a game and rushing out early often when the game is still in the balance is a sacrilege to me.

Anyhow I am in great form this morning so that is my only gripe of today.

Yesterday was magic for me the Cork Under 20 Footballers beat Dublin to win Cork’s first All Ireland in any Grade for 10 years. Our Under 20 Hurlers beat Kilkenny in the All Ireland Semi Final & Celtic win by 7 goals.

  12. good morning, didn’t have time to post following yesterday’s game due to attending a function last night and having to leave the game at half time (pre arranged) to ensure we got there on time anyway enough of the idle chit chat and back to football matters based only on first half and pre game entertainment the day could not be faulted , total football , played at fast tempo by players with hunger and desire to attack from the off , only a couple of minor issues at the back our goalies back heel early doors and a couple of cross balls from wide from them that could have been dealt with better , but all in all i thought the atmosphere was brilliant and by the way if we all had the same opinions the blog wouldn’t be the same, no harm in being controversial.

Just savouring the game again on CTV, 15 mins. at a time then a wee

keek at CQN and so on lol.

Amazes me the amount of females now attending Celtic park and wearing

their Celtic tops, not to mention the kids, but then i really shouldn’t be

surprised when i see the amount of girls and young mums wanting to sign

up for our spring programs here in Oz.

Must be us handsome Jock coaches 8-))

  14. Great day yesterday, saved by a very helpful steward supervisor in charge of T40 /T41 but we will leave that for another day.

Fantastic to meet An Tearman, Friesdorfer and his lovely wife and last but certainly not least Oldtim. Think I may have been a little too overawed when greeting him but you don’t meet CQN royalty everyday. Met some others but my memory is shot so thanks and sorry no offence intended.

Dena, the scheming devil, directs me to Kerrydale suite while she gets to meet Danny McGrain. Think she got the better end of that deal.

So off now to drive back to Cork.

You’r correct Ron it’s a blog and people are entitled to their opinions

even if yours is always wrong 8-))))))))

  16. I certainly agree Ron that it would be boring if everybody agreed all the time. We need diverse opinions and there is no harm in being controversial.

I’m fully aware that tougher opposition lie ahead starting with Cluj in a short couple of days but when you have a day like yesterday it is OK to just simply bask in the enjoyment of the day & let tomorrow & the next game take care of itself.

Amazing talent, and when you look at him and Oli on CTV they’re

always together and obviously good pals, interesting to see how

    that goes.

Oli and Eddy, the French connection. Two fantastic footballers.

Still buzzing from that display yesterday, absolutely brilliant.

  19. Even the singing at Mass just then was louder and more upbeat than usual! The weekend couldn’t get any better. Or……

  20. Good morning from a bright and sunny North Staffordshire. What do you mean it’s always bright and sunny being a Tim

  21. SFTB,

I said much the same on here yesterday. Jinky would have been proud of his control. What made it even better was that it happened right in front of where I sit. Grand view of it.

  22. Corkcelt

I try to show a generosity of spirit seeing as they ( the early leavers) are fellow Tims but I do feel that, in most cases, their premature departures are more to do with an unconsidered desire to `save` a few minutes for no real reason.

    Ron67

` by the way if we all had the same opinions the blog wouldn’t be the same, `

…and what if my opinion is that , in your scenario, the blog would be the same?

In the same vein, what if my opinion is that everyone is not entitled to their opinions?

  23. If Ntchams head is sorted he will be a massive player for us this season.Terrific player. When MOTM went off,the replacement was seamless.

Has anyone really noticed KT is missing?I thought the difference in Boli, with a few games under his belt, was great.Hopefully,we will see the likes of Bayo,Shved, get full games against DunfermlineMaybe even Karamoko.

Looking at who was not playing yesterday,we have a fantatic squad.Could well be a season to remember.

  24. Parkheadcumsalford

` Jinky would have been proud of his control. `

….as , indeed, he may have been of his namesake`s ( almost) goal. Don`t want to burden the young man with a comparison with the man voted ` The Greatest Ever Celt` but Mikey J is already very good and could become great. Only an opinion, of course :-))

  25. The fans who leave early.Do they really get to wherethey are going quicker.Really?Just where are they going to?If 40,000 leave at the same time, does it really matter? To save a few useless minutes, you miss 180 minutes of football at Celtic Park, you have paid good money for.Who knows how many goals.

    Always found it very strange.

  26. Wonderful display yesterday, can anybody tell me what the hell the Green Brigades banner was about????

Ah the 80th minute exodus, I actually find it amusing considering our penchant at scoring late goals anyway😱😁

  29. Gerradiola’s 86 min comment tells me he’s feeling the strain, Warburton esq mutterings from Govan’s great hope.
