    It’s quite possible that Rodgers thinks he hasn’t quite done enough damage to the team he apparently loves and will attempt to do a bit more . I hope we refuse to do business with him on principle . Come to think of it , boards don’t really have principles.

    1) I wouldn’t assess sevcos level of ability on the basis of a performance at Rugby Park. We’ve had our own struggles there.

     

     

    2) I’ve loved Jozo from the start and especially since THE TACKLE at Ibrox…. But he has had lots of injuries and has to regularly re-establish himself in the defence. I’d keep but I’d still be worried he would be out for prolonged periods again.

    Neil has said Jozo has been great since he arrived … the shoitey plastic pitches are a worry and no player with a hint of injurying themselves because of a surface should play on them … of a club needs a plastic park for finance they should not be in our top league

    Indeed GFTB they could bid for Calmac, also recent speculation that they are interested in signing Ajer.

     

     

    Hopefully it’s all speculation and nothing else – Leicester do seem cash rich after the sale of Maguire.

     

     

    I always lament some of the duds we have signed in the past, however when you consider the value of our squad, the club must be doing something right.

    I agree.An absolute disgrace.How can we lure players here when they have to play on these abominations ,minimum,6 times a season.Jozo is right not to play on them if they are likely to cause injury to him.Celtic know about this.As Rodgers said,”Never seen a good game of football on one”.You cannot afford a grass pitch no place in the top league.There is a reason why there is none in the EPL.

    One thing about Brendan he did appreciate and actually talked our game up… it is a compliment to our team that others want our players .. us fans just want them to stay and play … again, early days but Neil knows the job in hand and for some to pick holes in his management style he gives the youngsters the belief … wee Jamesy “invisible” Forrest is the proof .. still remember Neil giving him his debut he looked about 12 !!! I’m saying that after all these years he now looks about 21 :-)

    At this exact stage last season BT sport came in and secured the rights to our away tie in the third qualifying round against Athens.

     

    Of course the ‘play off round’ onwards are already secured and confirmed.

     

    However absolutley nothing has been announced yet about wednesdays match in Romania.

     

    Not even those pirates over at Premier Sports.

     

    I’m hoping BT sport put their hands in their pockets and cover Wednesdays away leg at the last minute like last year.

    Plastic parks are for training and not the workplace … if they need it to survive get out the top league .. if we want to promote Scottish football at least play on a decent surface … Scotland weather is shoite at times (mainly rain which is good for grass) no need for plastic pitches

    Lets see if the trend continues next saturday when we play at the fir park shithole.

     

     

    So gonna miss the BT sport coverage after this season.

     

    Sky are beyond dreadful.

    “Major broadcaster announcement on Celtic crucial Champions league tie”….

     

     

    Then it still could mean/ in most likely order first…

     

     

    A / Premier sports secure rights cause nobody else wanted them

     

    B / BT Sport have done the right thing by the subscription base and bought the tie

     

    C / No tv coverage apart from Celtic tv

     

    D / The BBC find some leftover peanuts from the back of the sofa and buy the rights as there is no Woman’s sport feminist propaganda narrative to cover this week.

     

    E / SKY SPORTS cover it and set up a new football channel exclusively for Scottish Football.

    Only saw the highlights on Shortbread tv, but it confirmed my belief that if we do require another defender for any reason, I pray that it is not McKenna. I really don’t see what anybody sees in him. Terrible decision maker. For his size, he is hopeless in the air. Stiff, slow… just awful, don’t get it.

    Will the SFA do ANYTHING about the conduct of fans in Kilmarnock today?

     

    In addition to the “Champions league” winning celebrations involving pitch invasions, damage to property & injury to fans – the sectarian chants were constantly in loud & horrible evidence.

     

    I know very little of their new songs of hate ditties but the little content I deciphered – was vile.

     

     

    Collum gave an early yellow to Power after Moreorless simulated a severe injury reaction to a nothing challenge. Barisic also simulated critical injury after another nothing challenge from Power so it’s very clear this is a tactic they will use in games – as usual. And as usual, Collum’s character was soon being impugned from the pound containing animals behind Foderingham goal for not givng a second yellow to Power.

     

     

    The pitch looked much better than their old carpet with the ball less inclined to skid about or bounce 30 feet in the air from goal kicks.

     

     

    At this stage, it’s a toss up between Goodwin and Alessio as to who gets their jotters first.

     

     

    Just back from a week with the grandchildren at North Topsail Beach, NC.

     

    Exhausted but happy.

    I was SO looking forward to Sportscene tonight, especially as they now have 75 minutes to cover the 6 SPL games. The coverage of our game was abysmal. Stuck a wee tweet out, shown below (if it’s good enough for Trumpet it’s good enough for Jobo). I’ll let you know if I get a reply (ps I won’t be letting you know…..}

    In the spirit of the Women’s World Cup, I offer my congrats to Celtic Ladies who today beat their Sevco counterparts 3:1 at the K Park in EK.

     

     

    Our goals came from Kathleen McGowan, Sarah Ewens and Kelly Clark.

     

     

    Weirdly the Sevco score came from a combo of famous Celtic players. It was scored by one Brogan Hay- get her signed.

    Just watched. Guess the problem is that, first of all, they have to show all 7 goals! :-)))

     

     

    There was another attempt by Eddy they showed – they seem to have made the wrong editorial choice there.

     

     

    Given how good a run it was though the question that arises is – why pick that one rather than Eddy’s other (great) run…?
