  1. Songs….

Match away to DU…it was 33 minutes before a Celtic song was sung.

Prior to that Irish Rebel songs and sectarian declarations.

    Pretty poor IMO!

Make a banner and protest. Seems to be the ‘In thing’

So that other clubs won’t get the benefit before Celtic. Celtic are actually in the forefront with this initiative and I am DEFINITELY now signing off and saying no more.

  4. A person is sectarian if he or she ‘adheres in a bigoted or narrow-minded fashion to a sect or body of persons who have agreed upon particular doctrines or practices’. (Oxford English Dictionary).

Definitely sectarian singing by the green brigade.

Pathetic support of the team by calling them “gutless”. They showed how brave they were by quickly taking the banner down when the booing started. Pathetic and gutless. They love themselves more than the team.

  5. Interesting game today.

StJ were tidy and effective but ultimately lacking in class.

We on the other hand played some good stuff but kept making it hard for ourselves.

Half the team phoned it in — usual suspects involved.

Same could be said about the GB — cheap banner and very poor singing.

If the two guys on the drum had not turned up they would have been pathetic.

As it was — No volume / energy, poor choice of output / final ball, very flat / too predictable.

We look like a cash cow awaiting slaughter.

We see the returns diminishing and no where that will end.

    Something needs to change.

Re comment about CQN crisis, you have to laugh. The highest ever monthly audience of CQN before August 2015 was the month that the huns died. That total has now been surpassed this month.

For those who may have missed this article from this morning – absolutely brilliant piece from BRTH about the trouble in Amsterdam, CQN Magazine at its very best.

  10. sipsini,

I’ve not lost any faith in Ronny, Just lost faith in players who have let Celtic down a lot of times now, especially in games they are expected to win.

The sooner Ronny gets his team out there, the better, is my opinion.

Boylesports have Celtic at 200/1 to win it. Well worth a tenner just Because.

You have just described the OO. Now as far as I am aware the GB adhere to the ethos of our founders – a group open to all. I may be wrong but I am fairly sure there are members of various religious faiths within the GB some I expect quite a few have no religious affiliation and are of a political mind set.

Now a question to you why would a Celtic fan be upset with someone referring to an member of the OO as an Orange Bast**d?

  13. If Senior Celtic players accepted they were gutless on Tuesday, gather than spit the dummy out after rd called them out maybe the gb would have said nothing

problem is the senior players could not accept the truth and to be honest those players spitting their dummy out can go find themselves new clubs

p.s. A banner displaying unhappiness out performance far more desirable that booing at end of game

You dribbled something about Martin Oneils Celtic team… Got beat off Basel but reached Seville.. Were they gutless?

I mean, what relevance is that really.

I’m not talking about any other Celtic side, from any other era, or any previous side that failed to qualify for champs league proper.

The Celtic performance on Tuesday was gutless. And the performance on Tuesday can be assessed on it’s own merits. Tuesday night the players to a man were gutless. It’s fair comment. And talking about Celtic of over a decade ago is completely irrelevant.

  17. I’m not coming out in favour of the GB banner by any means, it was daft and the gutter SMSM will lap it up.

However, playing devils advocate here, bearing in mind that more eloquent and influential fans’ issues are ignored eg the living wage and the disappearance of Resolution 12, how otherwise are a bunch of kids supposed to make their feeling heard?

  18. Re the green brigade, those wee bhoys were probably some of us a lot of years ago.

I’m not happy with the board, they have to be told by the supporters that their strategy isn’t working, buy young and hopefully sell for a profit!

No, build a team and keep building until we are were we can be.

I’m not talking about spending along with the tv millionaires.

Surely we have enough money coming in to stop the rot!

    =====

If yu are referring to my earlier post then Yes you were supposed to laugh as it was a tongue in cheek comment on the lapse between posts on an important match day 7 -mins to be precise. To start adding hit stats to back your assertions is all a wee bit OTT.

  21. Careful With That Tax, Moonbeams on

Listen to that shoite on Radio Shortbread .. Robbie Shepherd, Scottish Dance Music .. If you were bed bound, lying on your bed weighing 70 stone .. You’d be up like a jack in the box turning that crap aff after Sportsound ..

Who the feck listens to that ?

  22. Ronny was let down by the players….MASSIVELY.

I mean, there was occasions on Tuesday when senior Scotland internationalists (Mulgrew and Brown) were switching off at Malmo throw ins….. Quite literally, Malmo had a shy on 2 or 3 occasions inside the Celtic half, and they were able to throw in to a Malmo team-mate who was positioned just outside our 18 yard box, and totally unmarked, in acres of space.

And we wonder why we lose goals.

Tbh, however it is not a new phenomenon. Even under Lennon, whenever it was a big cup game and expectation was high, the same players always seem to deliver the least when it matters the most.

    ———–

I don’t think the policy is buy young sell profit, it’s who is a potentially good player who will come to us because they know they can move on to a bigger league. That makes sense if you read it slowly :o)

The players have a huge factor on our transfer policy, it’s why we’ve started signing more SPL players. SPL players don’t want to leave us.

There’s not one fan favourite that’s not wanted to leave Celtic (that’s how much they loved us)

  24. Something is very wrong with the team, very wrong with the squad.

The long, slow good bye of VvD had probably set the tone for the past three months.

Given the fact we should have seen this coming the lack of preparation has been woeful.

Having a CB pairing of a loan player and a want away careerist was a problem that was spotted 9 months ago. One half finished, rusty but promising player is not a complete solution to the issue.

Then we have the fifth instalment of the LB farrago.

The lack of progress here is shocking given the scale of the issue and the problems it has generated.

    Deadwood 3 is well overdue.

We provide a home to far too many over paid toy chuck era living on past glories.

  25. I can refer to the OO as Orange Bastards because they are Orange Bastards.

Although the idea of referring to someone as a bastard because that person/child is born out of wedlock is outdated in modern society so (the word) ‘Bastard’ becomes a colloquialism; agreed?

Would we call a rat a cuddly wee rodent, say like, Nacho Novo or feckueggin vermin, say like, Nacho Novo…….

Naw, for we will be mastered by no ‘Orange Bastards’ scans ok………… (to me anyway).

I enjoyed the game, 2nd half was not as good, thought Tim Howard was excellent.

  27. My favourite quote about them orange bassas is from my own dear wife from San Francisco, who on watching a March for the first time over on holiday said: “Those guys look like a San Fran gay pride march, just without the style and sense of humor”.

She giggled for days every time she thought about them.

  29. Earlier today I asked whether Celtic was already dead. My hypothesis is that it has been replaced with Celtic just a business and no longer a club.

I think reaction to today’s banner sort of confirms it. After abject failure by the team and those that run the club it nothing short of true what the GB put on the banner.

The fact that some sheep in the stand booed them is a sure sign of death. As is the pathetic reaction of some on here. I mean one poster even worried what the mms would do! Who cares.

We have lost what it means to be Celtic.ndissenting voices are not allowed. Play the party line. Cheer the balance sheet and the size of peters bonus.

This isn’t the Celtic that I fell in love with.
