Probably as poor a display as I’ve seen in a while.Let’s get the Green Brigade out the road first. The Green Brigade are perfectly entitled to express their democratic views without Celtic’s or UEFA’s permission although both are trying to stop this, is booing not an expression of opinion? The media will without doubt make a huge point of this.My personal opinion is, although I don’t totally agree with their banner it may stir those in the higher echelons to realise all is not well with our current situation.

I believe,as I said last night ,that this is a crucial period in our dominance and at the moment we are in danger of giving up the head start that we have.

Now if anyone disagrees with this then that is your right but let’s be rational.Let’s not turn a blinds eye to the truth because we’re supporters.Supporting the best team in the world sometimes means to criticise decision making because I don’t doubt for one minute everyone on this blog and everyone at Parkhead wants what’s best for Celtic.

Evening awe glad to see the hoops back to winning ways

also glad to see the green brigade

sticking it to the team and board

it’s our right as supporters /fans

If we don’t do this then we disend into

    mediocrity

I also heard the backed the team throughout the game

    Hypocrites ?

  3. Corkcelt,

When the banner was displayed there was no negative reaction from the fans. It was probably held up for a minute or 2 without any booing. The booing only stated when the game started.

Fans didn’t appreciate Gutless in Malmo on display while the team were in action. A subtle difference.

I am not a member of the Green Brigade. I have been emensly proud of some of their work in the past but sadly on occasion embarrassed by them. Supporters come and go like career players but to some supporting Celtic is not a choice, it’s an inheritance and privilege. We don’t care if you win lose or draw was a song of immense education to me as a Cub. Thanks to all the Celtic family for a wonderful gift!!

I really enjoy your updates of all things fitba from barra and the western isles, but your always way behind the excellent Alex O’Henley on twitter :-)

  14. The word to encourage means to give courage, to exhort to do well or do better usually used when someone is down and afraid.

The word discouragin e means to remove courage and in doing so increase fear.

    A Banner that said

You Were Pish but You’re Our Pish and We’re In It Together

Would in my opinion have expressed negative feelings in a more encouraging way.

  15. I was a bit down earlier this week but after a couple of good days at my work we have

Celts going top of the league

There still being a chance of one of my heroes returning AMcG returning

Hearing for the first time about Opus Celtic

Hearing that once again Sevco continue to lose £1/4m ( 250,000 pounds ) EVERY WEEK. They should have one of they national debt digital clock things that they have in Time Square above their crumbling stadium showing how much cash they have lost that year or month or hour.

    And Leigh Griffiths scores again.

GOD BLESS CELTIC FHANS THE WORLD O’ER

  16. Did the GB not just reiterate what our manager effectively said ?

At least these “controversial” banners will not incur the wrath of Eufa.

Would guess 75% contributing to this site never stood on the terracing at Parkhead. Never stood at Hampden covered in dust as McCluskey’s shot beat McCloy..Never stood soaked to the skin, as Charlie and McLeod hammered the baw in at the Celtic end.. Grow a pair aw bawz and stop the incessant fxxking moaning…

  18. No problem with the GB attacking the board….but attacking the players before a match is not on IMO.

Who here can say that they have performed well after a public barracking?

    Not many, I’ll warrant.

In my experience it makes you resentful and edgy/unsure. So what was the point of doing this before kickoff?

I will be having a quiet word with the GB boy in the work on Tuesday.

    PADDY GALLAGHER

Accept the point you make but the “We don’t care if we win lose or draw” are words that aren’t backed up by reality.I’m sure everyone sits close to a supporter who derides and insults players from the team they’re there to support.

  20. Although we have been winning SPFL games reasonably comfortably there is a bit of fragility in our play.

Broonie does a great job of providing a spine but I think we need someone else who is ready to get hurt to make a point.

    Is Lenny past it?

The sense of entitlement amongst a large part of our support is uncomfortable. I can recall the days when we didn’t even qualify for Europe.

  23. Something has bugged me since yesterday

Someone posted the Mascot race at Hamilton

This was titled as a SPFL mascot race

How come someone called Broxi was in this race

    Did I miss something ?

Incidentally I am only one that thought we were fortunate to come away with 3pts today :-) a couple of very very good saves from Craig Gordon in last 15 mins kept it at 3 – 1

Broonie was always better out right than in the middle, we’ve always lacked a proper central midfielder. Vic was good at it, but only here a couple of years.
