CELTIC’S Champions League rivals Stjanan suffered another setback when they lost 2-1 at home to Valur.
The Icelandic title holders are struggling for form as they count down to the midweek first leg tie against Ronny Deila’s men at Parkhead.
This latest defeat is the third consecutive home loss for Runar Pall Sigmundsson’s side as they prepare for the biggest encounter in the club’s history.
Midfielder Halldor Bjornsson fired Stjarnan into the lead in the 21st minute, but Valur equalised six minutes later through Hordur Arnason.
With only 13 minutes left to play, Kristinn Sigurdsson scored the winner for the visitors.
Stjarnan are now in sixth place in the 12-team league with 15 points from 11 games.
