CELTS SINNER HAMMERED

1

BUNGLING Boli Bolingoli has been hit with the MAXIMUM fine Celtic could impose following his inexplicable secret trip to high-risk Spain.

The Belgian defender ignored quarantine rules after returning from his two-day journey without the club’s knowledge or permission. He compounded his action by training with the rest of the first team at Lennoxtown before making a cameo appearance in the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on August 9.

He was hit by a three-match ban by the football authorities and the champions’ Premiership games against St Mirren and Aberdeen were cancelled.

Neil Lennon was livid when the news broke and he has now confirmed the errant player has been hammered.

The manager, speaking to the Glasgow Times, said: “He’s been heavily sanctioned by the club. The maximum sanction we could give him. He’s not back in training yet and I think his representatives are looking at options for him elsewhere.”
