Clean sheet and a win, please

140

Since their League Cup win at Celtic Park last month, Ross County recorded four straight defeats, conceding 10 without reply, which leaves them four points adrift at the bottom of the table.  Whatever they were fighting for when we last met, their players financial security is on the line every time they take the field.  New manager, John Hughes, will ensure they are not short of motivation.

Success is contagious in football and whatever traumas Neil Lennon has gone through to ensure his players are in the right frame of mind to take the field in recent months, he should have no problems today.  Winner’s medals certify your achievement and each Celtic player has a new one to show their loved ones this week, confidence should flow from them.

As well as the three points, I hope to see a clean sheet and County restricted to precious few chances, unlike our bizarre 0-5 win in September, which foretold of problems ahead.

  1. So,

    sounds like 4-2-3-1

    Hazard

    Frimpong Jullien Ajer Laxalt

    Soro McGregor

    Christie Turnbull Griffiths

    Edouard

Or 4-4-2 with Turnbull and Christie wide (but which side)

Random, tombola pick again. Maybe is Lennon had a squad of 17 we would have a consistent line up. Funniest one is Henderson in from nowhere and back to nowhere. Still don’t know what Hazard jumped over 2 keepers

    Hail Hail 3-2 to us

Apologies if my note came across as being critical, or any form of slight against anyone

I am 100% behind Res12 and its aims or Res 11 now

I have gone through my emails back to 2013

When I forwarded an additional 6 signatories to Morrisey, and requested receipt of such

I have had a grand total of 4 emails since that date

    2 of which were 2019

    Nothing in 2020,

My point, email the signatories for support

  3. Auldheid,

Trying to help — could you crowdfund on Res12 ; it would give you a view on level of support as well as money.

I would be happy to contribute in my own small way.

No surprise Paul67 has played the Judas Iscariot role —- my sources tell me he has previous for this—- as he goes running to his goes running to his boss.

I admire what you have done and wish you every success.

    Good luck.

  4. I know it’s a bit late but if you were a Jambo watching Sunday’s game, they defended really badly for 2 of the goals (stupid handball and then Brown allowed a run at a poor corner right in the centre).

No shocking defending either side and it was 1-0 with wonder goal

  5. I don’t agree St. Tams.

    I’m very pleased with team.

I know you have issue with Keeper but he is young, he needs experience and first team games to build his confidence.

If there was a clear gulf between him and one of the others then fair enough but they are all much of a muchness so maybe better to stick with young ghuy, he is probably buzzing after Cup win and feeling a lot more confident.

    Auldheid

I am one of those original 100 signatories

I will openly state I provided over 30 signatures to get the ball rolling

From memory I have received 2 emails in the past 7 years on the topic

Why not set up a Zoom call with those as suggested, without any others involved

Contact us by email to set up

Can you / we build on the 100 signatures ?

    Struggling to see,

Why are you dragging the Celtic Trust into this ?

And in my view throwing assertions at their agenda.

Have you made same request with CSA, Affiliation, or any other Celtic groups ?

Incidentally it would have been great to have an update through email, as a signatory, which I have not received, instead of running any agenda through Twitter etc ( many of us may not use Twitter or facebake etc) or on forums such as this.

    =====================

I’ll need to check the original database to find out if you are on it and if so where you brought forward to the later one formed after a request was put out for anyone interested in Res 12 to get in touch. Just did.

If you are norrie1963 etc you are on the original list but were not carried to the updated one which consisted of those on the original who wanted to be kept in touch and new names who responded to a general request in 2019 for expressions of interest.

Either you were not contacted to be added to the updated list or were e mailed but there was no answer. That update was implemented a while ago so it is hard to tell why you fell between the stools but my apologies that it happened.

There is no need to call a Zoom meeting as all those interested were kept up to date but if you confirm I have the right Norrie or supply a portion of your e mail address so I can track you on the spreadsheet I’ll send you the updates to the Group who were updated whenever there was activity to report.

When you say why bring the CST into it remember it is they who said they supported Res12 throughout and with a growing membership the request for them to police The Board on their undertaking to engage with relevant authorities in any future CST meetings speaking for a much larger group than those active on Res12 seemed an opportunity (as I stated in the e mail to David Lowe) they would want to consider and a perfectly reasonable request.

The fact that they missed the point about what took place at AGM on the 14th and used it to justify not taking over is surprising as I stated it at the last Open Meeting and followed it up by e mail an extract of which I posted here earlier. I also clarified the position on social media but they might not have seen that and I recall a DM discussion where I tried to help the CST appreciate what they were voting for because the very nature of Celtic’s response made it unclear.

With regard to bringing the CST into the frame today, if you read back it was to correct inaccuracies posted on CQN in their reasons for not taking up the requests. I can handle the decision not to pursue no problem, but I will not let misrepresentations of the Res12 position go without correction.

  7. still prefer my starting 11 , can’t understand why we go with a back 4 and 2 sitting midfielders protecting them to mark 1 centre forward.

  8. Breaking News

The papers are announcing a 2nd new strain of Covid with origins in South Africa. Anyone with recent contact with a South African needs to quarantine.

The article is accompanied by a picture of Matt hancock and, if that is the effect of the virus on your physiognomy, I’m never leaving the house again.

Yup CSA were approached in 2018 as were CST and took an active part at a very crucial stage in the unfolding drama.

They were also approached in July/August 2020 with a new draft Resolution to consider, but never responded and after a few attempts they were left out.

They have been contacted after their meeting with PL reported last week but no response although I understand they are constrained by their rules from engaging and stretched them in August 2018 to try and find a way out that suited everyone, but that ended up not being actioned by Celtic.

    ===============

Gotcha now. The thing is they dropped off the radar because of lack of engagement and I doubt they can do anything more unless they are CST members and they can complain to them. Long shot, lot of work for what is unlikely to be an effective return.

One of the reasons for seeking CST involvement is they already have systems in place for crowd funding- donation, accounts, accounting and paying, whereas a much smaller group would have to do that from scratch and be sure the money collected would achieve a result.

For example get legal advice on a shareholders position if a CEO lies to them. Is it justifiable and under what circumstance? Here is the evidence..

Or if a company is approached with evidence they have been defrauded can they refuse to act because there are questions about the provenance of the evidence, not its veracity but how it was contained. Here is the evidence.

If shareholders are knowingly or unknowingly directed down a path that ends up with the judicial process being followed being abandoned at a cost of around say £11k can they claim compensation from those who are responsible for the direction. Here is the evidence.

There are more but those will do.

Not exactly difficult questions to frame and unlikely to cost the £20k pledged and enough to cause a dose of the collywombles at Board level.

  13. clear purpose, Influence. motivation, facts – wrap it up in a message that unifies.

If that doesn’t work try a different angle.
