Neil Lennon’s comments that he will need to sell at Bolton Wanderers before making a bid for Kris Commons, or anyone else, are welcome. Celtic have four important games in the four weeks after this transfer window closes: home and away to Inter Milan, Aberdeen in the league, and a League Cup semi-final against newco Rangers. Commons will be vital for some, if not all of these games.
Inter will play on the front foot and Aberdeen have the players to take the game to us, as they did in the Scottish Cup at Celtic Park last season, but I expect newco to defend their 18 yard line in numbers, a bit like Ross County did last week, a scenario which will require someone with Commons’ craft.
Neil Warnock’s sacking at Crystal Palace was good news, as he wanted Commons, had money to spend and could offer the allure of top-flight football. Neil Lennon would be able to offer Commons familiarity, but with Bolton spending a total of £300k in the summer, their chances of being able to afford a bid for Commons that would raise Celtic’s interest are limited.

chrisvancoupon with all respect, you’ll discover day by day why I’m right. There’s no chance of a serious challenge from either Unt or Dons. The “we want it all, we want it now” brigade will have a cold Norwegian wind to deal with as they suck up their prickly words. try to Keep the Faith.
Max power is for real.
Dirk Bo I don’t know.

Love the NFL, hard to call a game with so much money a ‘socialist’ sport’, but it’s closest thing you’re going to get, and a template of how competitive sport should be run.
No swithering about who to support though, just love the game.
Here’s my wildcard winners, or maybe just who I want to win.
Cardinals – criminally underrated all year, star players keep getting injuries, but so well coached they keep finding ways to win.
Steelers – Bell injury is huge, but still the better team.
Bengals – Even though the hapless Browns are one of the teams I root for, who incidentally have their own new club / old club controversy, still want the Bengals to break this playoff hoodoo, though I wouldn’t put money on the ginja ninja.
Dallas – Again more of an Eagles fan, but not so much that I can’t see that Dallas @ Green Bay in the next round. Plus they have ahem strong links to Scottish football
50 shades of green. He is a cracking player but he would be hard for Celtic to land as half the English Premier League have been watching the boy.I would go as far as to say if he keeps developing the way he has in the last two seasons he will be an English International.H.H.

Foxy. I’m all for giving RD a good few transfer windows. I hope the board back him.
Celtic of late have created dozens of chances (apart from ross county) and no one has stepped up to bury them.
I agree that there’s an element of luck to the games celtic have been defeated, especially dundee United, and see your point but we really need Denayer and Lustig back in defence to make things more convincing.
Nat Know. Max Power is a Central midfielder who gets ahead of his forwards quite often in a game and he has a great engine and gets stuck in. H.H.
Guy and Johnny
The cowboys look to be the on form team of the wild cards .. Tony romo hitting a hot streak
As for favourite team … Come on bhoys .. The GREEN bay packers are as close to Celtic as you will find in the nfl
Well night Bhoys thanks for the chat. H.H.

Fair comment my good mhan, but my personal belief is, not a bona fide company with any degree of respect, dignity or customer conscience, will touch this toxic, septic or criminal recorded company with an extended barge pole. Just MO you understand. :-))))
Hope you are well. Been busy tonight. :-)) KTF.

I think RD needs to learn to adapt the system to suit the circumstances and players. But I’m not giving up on his yet. The real problem with RD is that fan expectations have not been properly managed by CFC. If we are to go through a transformational period – fine. But it would have been a good idea to tee the fans up for such a move rather then present RD and his methods as the finished product. There’s clearly a lot that needs to change if that s to work. Fans expectations have not been managed appropriately in this respect.
What about my other 2 points?

I know nothing about him JFH – but he sounds like a player. If he’s better than what we have then certainly worth considering. What I’ve heard is that our scouts have looked at all the players in Scotland and don;t think they;re any better than what we have. I find that difficult to believe given the amount of game time some of our recent signings have had.
I just pumped in CELTIC FC to google….theres an article from WINNERS SPORT that all DEILA fans might wanna read….i found it interesting…worth a read….
Natknow…read the article i highlighted…
Ok ghuys, never slept at all last night, such is the farming life. We had issues that required me to stay awake the whole night. So after a few wee rums and cokes, I’m for the off. Will miss MOTD, who really gives AF. :-)) To say I’m shattered is an understatement. Totally fekked. Till the mo. KTF.

Retired Daily Mirror and News of the World Journalist, so probably has something taped from PL’s mobile phone!!!
See he’s listed as obsessive about Celtic (not sure if that’s in a good or bad way, though).
Thanks for the pointer to the article, bgx.

Chris Erskine and Peter Pawlett always impress when they play us.
Pawlett is combatative and capable of stepping back to learn the holding role. Erskine looks a bit Pearson like and raw but could be a decent back up for Izzy.
Think we are seriously scouting a few centre mids in Scotland and will narrow down to price quality decision. Choose from McGinn, Armstrong, Pawlett, French boy from Hamilton that’s going out with Collins daughter.

A wee story to back that up mate Re -Green Bay.
Back in the eighties I was working in a quaint little old town “doon the Clyde “beside the holy Loch called Dunoon :-)
I often went to games home and away with Dunoon bhoys and at that time 2 American navy boys often went with us and they were both big Green Bay fans.
Now when any American Navy personal sign on for an extra 3 yrs service the Americans do their best for them and offer them a chance to sign their allegiance in a place thats means something to them, as it transpired both of these guys signed on together and of course had to resign when they were in Scotland.
They both asked for and were granted permission to sign in the board room at Celtic Park.
Mon the Green Bay for me since then mate.
P.s the colours help also :-)

I Read that article about ronny. Nothing we didn’t know already. Next 6 six weeks are crucial. But then that’s something we knew already also
TBJ
Like Green Bay for sure, but Seattle’s stadium has a Celtic Park atmosphere about it. Hoping that’s the conference game and the winner goes onto win the SB.
Re: that article.
Deila knows it hasn’t been a perfect start.
He said that they have been a 5 maybe a 6 out of ten at a push.
Quick fixes will not work for Celtic.
Celtic as a team are better moving commons on

No argument there. Home or away, when you notice a scruffy beggar wearing a lucky Packers cap, that’ll likely be me.

McGinn is a standout in a poor at mirren team every time he plays Celtic. Bags of energy and imoreases more than they other guys you mention.

Quick fixes are unfortunately demanded at celtic,
Could we spend 5 years rebuilding, 5 years during which we don’t win the league or qualify for champions league.
I don’t think so
What about 3 years? ?
2 ?
1 ?

Saint Stivs. Thats all we can do wait and see but I cant see how a 15 year old would improve our midfield I think he would get kicked off the park.. H.H.
Yes,all those Norwegian 6 foot odd, shrinking violet defenders would not even attempt to kick him while he was ripping them a new one.
Wits…well it was news too me…if its true..then the high ups aint happy…but that aint what ive read..
And again..if its true…then what explayers are saying , and getting ripped to bits for saying it, is what the bosses at CP are thinking…again ..if its true….

I lived in Wisconsin for a while 2002/3 – a small town about 80 miles from Green Bay . The colours caught my eye first day I arrived in town .. Almost every house had a green white and yellow Packers flag flying
Talking to the guy who ran me from the airport he explained almost everyone in the state supported them and they have their roots firmly in the community . As far as I am aware the residents of brown county ( where Green Bay is located ) still pay some taxes to the club .
The driver said tickets were handed down through the generations and he had two and would ask his wife if I could attend the next match
We played the redskins at lambeau soon after and the fans were so vocal and supportive yet sitting next to me where two hogs who didn’t get an ounce of verbals although the fact GB won might have influenced that
I was lucky enough to go another 3 times and watched all other games in my local bar – buy two beers get your third free .& Free food during packers games.
They are and always will be my team now … Go packers ;)
Who have we signed ?
Who have we sold ?
Who owns Rangers 2 today?
Bgx,
Rumours are easy to spread and we all love gossip, especially when it suits our own agenda ,but I have heard that many of the players are not impressed with ronny,
Tough 6 weeks ahead
Guy
I’m often asked for my packers hats at Celtic games … No freaking chance lol

Aberdeen and dundee United can challenge. No one knows what celtic team will turn up on any given day.
Yep,unlike the two teams mentioned who are the benchmark of consistency.
Or have I been watching the wrong teams for years?.
Another new panic merchant.

Screwfixes won’t work for Celtic. We need investment, big time, if we are to challenge the CL next season. I really do get peed off repeating this message. If we do not qualify for the group stages of the CL, supposing we win the league, you can bet your bottom dollar that the sevco mob will qualify the following year. Then Celtic will be well fekked. This issue has to be addressed asap. We are inviting the mob to overtake us, you better believe they will pull every string and stunt to make sure they do. I really despair. Night.

Screw fixes? ??
Quick fixes me aul pal
The Rangers squad weren’t impressed with Le Guen but that had to do with his intolerance for poor diet and attitude. Le Gien was right. I get the impression that those unimpressed by Ronny are the ones that shouldn’t be there.

What is the Stars
They don’t need to be impressed they just need to do their jobs and if they can’t do their jobs they should get their transfer requests in instead of disrupting the team if in fact there is any truth in these wee rumours.
