Do our job and hope Killie struggle at Aberdeen

483

Celtic’s run of games at home against low ranking teams continue tomorrow against Hamilton Academical.  These matches are always straightforward on paper but it takes lots of energy to subvert any team of professionals.  If we get a comparable performance in the opening period to what was on display against Airdrie and St Mirren, Accies will be in for a difficult afternoon.

Assuming Celtic do their job right, we can hope that Aberdeen take something from Kilmarnock at Pittidrie.  Killie are currently only a point off the pace, although Celtic have a game in hand, against St Johnstone next midweek.

With his new strikers playing so well, Brendan Rodgers will be in no hurry to rush Odsonne Edouard back.  I am also keen to see more of Ewan Henderson.

I once heard “We gave the world Hugh McIlvanney.” He was good enough to be a national boast.  He lilov Big Jock too. Sigh.

Collusion to cover the whereabouts of the perpetrator of illegal operations is all that is provided. As usual our resident useful idiot is quick to issue questionable sources as evidence. The army/secret services said he was not there so we should accept that as proof, don’t make me laugh.

At a meeting in Kilburn just a week before polling day (1987 general election), the other speaker was Captain Fred Holroyd, an ex-intelligence officer who was a critic of the methods MI5 used against the IRA in Northern Ireland. The moment he started to express his doubts he was immediately accused of mental instability and dismissed as an intelligence officer.

Fred Holroyd is a former Army captain and intelligence officer who served in Northern Ireland from January 1974 until May 1975.

He resigned from the Army in September 1976, 16 months after being treated for a psychiatric condition.

Mr Holroyd has insisted the diagnosis was part of a conspiracy to discredit him because of claims he made about illegal activities by some Army units.

These included allegations of collusion with loyalist paramilitaries, and that some soldiers were operating a shoot-to-kill policy.

Every allegation subsequently turned out to be true, so he made claims, was the subject of a conspiracy to discredit his claims.

Similar to the treatment of Colin Wallace, another former intelligence officer in Northern Ireland, who was part of the Clockwork Orange project, but once he was considered unreliable he had been framed with a dead body put in the boot of his car and was convicted of manslaughter, although this decision would be overturned by the courts years later.

Aye we should swallow any shite the establishment and their useful idiots want to shove down our throats.

  2. Thanks Corkcelt, interesting will need to research this later in more depth.

  3. 13

Italians have no problem with 13 . The unlucky number in Italy is 17.. XVII in Latin numerals .. Make an anagram of that and you get VIXI -I have lived . That has implications of death and what could be more unlucky than dying ?

Italian airlines don’t use number 17 , nor do buses/ trains etc . . Number 17 is not used as a house number and many small family shops etc shut on the 17th.

35 first team squad players and climbing, think they are taking “just can’t get enough” a bit too seriously.

  10. What little we’ve seen of Izzy suggests he is in superior form. The Bhoy gives the impression he would run through a wall for us. Then again he’d probably pick up a red card for that…
