Don’t ask question you don’t know the answer to

‘Don’t ask question you don’t know the answer to’; great advice.  Mike Ashley will know the questions he’s proposed for Rangers International.  All the bluster around the company failing to get a Nomad due to the litany of complaints submitted to AIM under the old regime will be laid bare.  Allegations of blame made in haste will be revisited in detail.  It was an act of outrageous folly to attempt to play poker with a billionaire.

It is perfectly possible that Ashley will get his £5m loan repaid, the assets connected to it are so enormous, we should assume the money will be found.  I hope it is.  I hope the new regime gain all of their assets back from Ashley as soon as possible.

Ashley is one of the last men I would want owning my football club, but he is vastly more capable than those currently in notional charge.

The Machiavellian method – get the board to vote to return your money, or watch them vote to keep you on-side, is a thing of beauty.

Good luck to King, I hope he has the money and wins as much control as he needs.

I haven’t seen Pirlo this season. But thought he was looking a bit leg weary and the laser sights for the passes were slightly awry in both ties.

Beautiful day, weather-wise. Any “beautiful” news emanating from Ibrox? Radio Scotland were rushing to Doncaster’s aid this morning. The sponsorship is massive, according to them. What world do these folk inhabit?

  6. Update from FAC campaign.

Representatives of FAC continued today with the latest of a series of meetings with representatives/leaders of all the main political parties in the parliament. We have so far met with the Leader of the Scottish Greens, Patrick Harvie and today (13/5/15) we met with the Scottish Liberal Democrat MSP and Justice Committee member Alison McInnes and the Scottish Conservative and Justice Committee member Margaret Mitchell. In addition we had a brief informal meeting with Siobhán McMahon of Scottish Labour. We will meet with the leader of Scottish Labour this Friday and we will meet with the Community Safety and Legal Affairs Minister, Paul Wheelhouse next week.

Our aim in this series of meetings is to seek clarity on the process of the review and to strongly urge the politicians to give us the opportunity to provide evidence to them when they consider this important issue. As the only group who have consistently campaigned on this issue we have a breadth and depth of knowledge on the impact of this hated legislation on ordinary young football supporters which cannot easily be obtained from any other source. If you are meeting with your MSP to discuss the act then please emphasise this point to them and urge them to ensure that there is an opportunity for this information to be conveyed before any decision is made.

In the meantime the numbers signing the online and the paper petitions continue to rise. If you haven’t signed it yet then please do so soon and encourage as many people as you can to do the same:

Agree. I like top guys to have won the top prize at least once eg lendl and Wimbledon.

Pirlo and Buffon deserve that accolade. I suspect they won’t get it versus Barca. Will be a fascinating contest of the mind and styles.

Was it not the other way round, did they not pay that for him? Far easier to hide the difference in the accounts in that direction with amortisation, I’d have thought.

  14. Just passing through…..

The FAC thingy…..The ‘statement’ in the Herald thingy….

Why is it always the fans who have to deal with the ‘issues’….?

The fans dont carry the same clout as the Celtic board FACT.

The Celtic Boards ‘customers’ are being dumped on….from way up high.

It’s time for the Celtic Board to take a leaf from big Mikes book and, get the cards onto the table, empty the can of worms oot for the world to see, like they should have done after the ‘shame-game’….stop being the invisibles.

Until the Celtic Board, drag Scotlands little secret onto the world-stage then, I’m afraid that peashooter meetings, petitions, lists…etc….amount to hee-haw.

Get a financial gun to the boards head-get them into the ring-make them fight yer battles-that’s what their there for-innit….?

Yeez are the best fans in the world but, yeez are treated like doormats who’ll sit at the back of the bus.

Yer immediate problem is – the club that yeez plough countless £millions into – don’t respect yeez – only yooz can change that – lists and meetings wont – imho

Bring back the Jungle and, you’ll bring back the Sellic.

Till then….rip up the lists – cancel the mmetings and, get oot a giant bed-sheet, preferably a big white wan and get atin of green paint and, scrawl the words – “CELTIC BOARD – FIGHT OUR BATTLE’s OR, WE’LL KEEP OUR MONEY AND GIVE IT TO A BOARD WHO WILL.”

  27. If Celtic put their cards on the table and, called the establishments bluff by, lets say…letting it be known that, if the nazi-police dont reign it in then, Celtic supporters might withdraw their presence from games away from Celtic Park – which the fans shouldn’t be coerced into doing – but, if left with the choice of, becoming a criminal for going to a football match or, staying away to keep within the ‘limits’ of the law then, Celtic supporters and their financial input could be withdrawn from games outwith CP.
