Don’t ask question you don’t know the answer to

‘Don’t ask question you don’t know the answer to’; great advice.  Mike Ashley will know the questions he’s proposed for Rangers International.  All the bluster around the company failing to get a Nomad due to the litany of complaints submitted to AIM under the old regime will be laid bare.  Allegations of blame made in haste will be revisited in detail.  It was an act of outrageous folly to attempt to play poker with a billionaire.

It is perfectly possible that Ashley will get his £5m loan repaid, the assets connected to it are so enormous, we should assume the money will be found.  I hope it is.  I hope the new regime gain all of their assets back from Ashley as soon as possible.

Ashley is one of the last men I would want owning my football club, but he is vastly more capable than those currently in notional charge.

The Machiavellian method – get the board to vote to return your money, or watch them vote to keep you on-side, is a thing of beauty.

Good luck to King, I hope he has the money and wins as much control as he needs.

  1. KevJungle – Only fools believe that Celtic are run by snowmen

Looking back now that Jungle last stand was an embarrassment. Green ginger and a fancy dress contest? Dearie me.

We were run like a junior club.

We differ on our views slightly regarding the way the club is run. It’s about the fitba though and I would love to see you back. I know you are a big Tim I can tell by your comments. Get back to watch the club. Did you worry about all the things you are not going to the ground for now as a kid? Course you didn’t. You were just a wee Bhoy who wanted to watch the famous green and white hoops come out and play football. Sometimes we all have to remember that and reset ourselves. Go to a game with that mindset. It’s really quite an experience. I noticed it when I started taking my mates kids or any other kids along to games when I ran the CSC. The sheer joy on their faces and the excitement of being at the ground and seeing their heroes up close makes you remember what fitba is all about.

Your beef with the club, authorities, whoever may be valid but it should never stop you enjoy going to Paradise. It should never stop you watching the team and it should never stop you enjoying the spectacle.

I read your posts daily and it saddens me that although you are so into Celtic you feel you have to post everyday you can’t go along and support the Bhoys.

Where does the money go? Where did it ever go? We are more transparent than ever.

The auld days are gone and they are never coming back. That is life. We can all hanker after long hot summers, 10 feet of snow in the winters, chopper bikes, playing fitba up the park with your pals, leaving your doors unlocked, 3pm kick offs, guys with bunnets, getting lifted over, etc, etc….

You can try and recreate it but it is never the same. The world has moved on. If the world hadn’t moved on you would be down the boozer every night moaning and not on this fine site doing it on this new fangled internet creation.

Reset your mind. Think about why you support Celtic. Remember what it was like to go as a child. Try and do it. Get enthusiasm for the club again. Take a relatives child to a game. Feed of their excitement. It’s a wonderful feeling to be a Celtic supporter and you are missing out on the best part of it.

Get along to a game and support the Bhoys. Forget the board and everyone else you have a beef with and just enjoy 90 mins of fitba. That’s why you support the club and you should go and do it.

Sorry if it sounds patronising. It doesn;t mean to be.

  2. Firstly Rangers don’t have to pay him back at present it was a loan , which is still being honoured. There is a police investigation going on behind the scenes just now into the handling of Rangers affairs. Mr Ashley is a suspect in this case, so Rangers have the right to withhold any monies owed until the outcome. The amount of irregularities one after another is mounting up !! It won’t be long until we all find out the truth .

Any guesses who would think the above says “Happiness is nowhere”

And who would think it says “Happiness is now here” (me)

Or are you among the few who read it as “Happiness I snow here”?

  4. This place has the full spectrum .

Within that spectrum there are a few total bams.

    Supposedly Celtic supporters .

Who don’t support the team or the club in any way .

They also advocate harming the club by withholding our support , both physically and financially.

Well go and take a flying ffffffff!

Those of us that are faithful through and through will never give in to your petty minds.

  5. You should always ask questions you don’t know the answer to, and never be afraid to ask the stupid question, as there are no stupid questions just stupid answers.

  6. Answers can be checked, that way you’ll know if you are dealing with a liar, ignorant buffoon or a helpful person.

It’s not good to tell people never question unless you know the answer IMO

  7. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

Delighted for Buffon and Pirlo getting the chance to win a CL medal.

Both deserve the opportunity in appreciation of their skills and the manner in which they play the game.

Buffon showed great character when he stayed with his club, whilst at the peak of his powers, when they were punished for being a bad Old Lady.

Pirlo was simply peerless in his pomp.

Another guy I have taken to recently is the big, rugged, no nonsense centre half, who knows every dirty trick in the book, but is a fine footballer……Chiellini.

    A final of contrasting styles.

    Barca attack v Juve defence.

The El Classico has been anything but in recent times, so this should be a fascinating game, where hopefully, skill will prevail.

A little OT but may be of interest to anyone who lost a friend or relative whilst serving in the US military during the Vietnam war……..

Under Lindenhurst New York is listed Alexander Chisolm from Dumbarton, we were buddies on Long Island New York and signed up to play football for Lindenhust FC on the same night……RIP Alec, a gentleman and a Hero………

*Alex was a neighbour of Mrs. TT up Castlehill in Dumbarton. Her da was on night shift and was home when he was buried with full military honours. The cortege left the family home with the Stars and Stripes draped over his coffin and Marines accompanying it.

A wee bit of useless trivia here but his sister is/was the grandmother of Zander Diamond of sheep fame.

    Passion is crucial.

    Zander is a Celtic Supporter.
