    Champions again absolutely delighted I’ve personally had a trying time over the last 6 months but the support of CQN and the performance of the team I love has been a big positive, Celtic winning the Celtic Way 😀

    I notice some of the media are not handling our championship win too well.

     

     

    Ange is accused of “exaggeration” by Ewan Murray (which Murray patronisingly invites us to forgive!) in the Guardian for saying this, “It has been an enormous effort,” said Postecoglou. ‘“No one gave us much of a chance at the start of the season, so to achieve ‘the ultimate’ is an unbelievable effort. I couldn’t be happier but I am really proud of this group of players and staff. They have been unbelievable for me this year. I think our football has been outstanding.”

    Thinking I feel worse today with this pesky covid.

     

     

    Then I remember we are Champions and it’s not the covid that has given me a sore head it was the Lager.

    Very interesting interview — AP really does open up and give us his thoughts in detail.

     

     

    Starting to understand the performances against B/G and the SCSF.

     

    The league was everything this season — that was his mantra morning / noon / night.

     

     

    I think that is an awful lot still to come.

     

    AP has been learning every day during the season.

     

    Now that he has made it over this particular line– we climb the next hill.

     

    His comments about Europe at the Club dinner loom large.

     

     

    He has all the levers.

     

    We want European credibility / he wants to be credible in Europe.

     

    That means the CL and he has 4 months to sort it all out.

     

     

    His work in the Jan window suggests he can get us CL ready in 4 months.

     

    5 players in = 3 starters on the park.

     

     

    Plus RH shows glimpses of being special / 1999 LM special.

     

    Once he had gotten his passing radar calibrated last night his long / low driven passes just transformed our play to the point that we were playing a different game.

     

     

    Similar over the summer and we will be well on our way.

     

     

    JNPF = Well worth the transfer fee if he is up to the challenge.

     

    CCV = He has a worth / he has a value but he still has a bit to go.

     

    DM = No brainer / looks like the whole situation was about cash management.

     

     

    New LB = we seem to be in the mix.

     

    New CB = Not a sniff so far.

     

    New DM = Hopefully AP goes all in on this.

     

     

    Big RW from B/G = Gravy but very good gravy.

     

    Spare GK = Planning ahead.

     

    Re-energise the B team squad = pet project.

     

     

    What will the starting 11 be in Aug 22 / Aug 25?

     

    Now is the time to work all this out.

    What a champion night. Champagne on the bus back to Edinburgh. Ended up in Kitty O’Shea’s till 2:30am then taxi home. Finally got to bed at 4am after watching rerun of last 5 minutes then celebrations.

     

     

    Feeling tired but happy this morning. Looking forward to Saturday and more celebration. It’s been a long season but knowing the bhoys will have a proper close-season with no European qualifiers, we can all enjoy the break and look forward to next season.

     

     

    Who knows what that might bring.
