Ex-ref taunts Neil Lennon with ‘explodes’ remark

1244

I think I live in a different world than some people.  In my world the manager of Celtic has endured an incredibly stressful month.  Yesterday he would have dealt with news from a serious criminal trial after a bomb was sent to him.

Today he is being taunted in a newspaper by a former referee who suggests he “explodes at the side of a park”.  Even for a former SFA official, this is astonishingly poor taste.  The article goes on to betray enormous hostility towards Neil Lennon and, for reasons which appear opportunistic, Peter Lawwell.

Our manager will get through these difficult weeks and will hopefully never have to endure such stresses again.  SFA officials, current or past, cannot meaningfully lay a glove on him.  He can pay their fines and will continue to manage a winning Celtic team.

would make great viewing/reading but would most likely detract from the serious nature of it all, as much as I love wee george to bits and have no doubt he would tie them up in knots,it would be a circus,

IF we challenge the SFA or others on legal matters then its imo got to be undertaken by the legal team (whomever they may be)

Strange. Watching BBC Scotland News. They showed a photo of each of the accused in the letter bomb case. Behind the guy in the right hand photograph, there is a picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus hanging on the wall. Mmmm.

From reading Paul’s article, I get the feeling enough is enough. Maybe some ofour boys in office are getting tired of the perpetual vindictiveness and bridled hatered. I hope so, with every fiber of my being… I hope so.

Anychance of letting me find the easiest way in fouls and bookings received during these games as I’d think the card count willm be alot higher in games involving us than them.

  7. Clark’s article lets one particular cat out of the bag: he hates Neil Lennon, he hated him when he was a player, he hates him even more as a manager.

Clark will get away with this because this is Scotland. Celtic hating and Celtic baiting is integral to the football culture here. Take Sir George Graham, President of the SFA and viscerally anti Catholic resigned when he was caught with his hand in the till not by the police, nor by the press – certainly not, but by Bob Kelly. Take Jim Farry, an outstanding administrator we were told when he died but it was he who deliberately and knowingly sat on the registration of Jorge Cadete until the player could make no impact on the title’s destination. And was it the SFA’s legal team or the press uncover this blatant dishonesty? No I think that was Fergus McCann.

Despite Dallas, despite Dougie-Dougie, despite Campbell Ogilvie, despite Gordon Smith, despite illicit registration, despite debt owed to member clubs the people who run Scottish football – including the MSM and including Scottish referees will lie, cheat, scratch and gouge to maintain and preserve injustice.

Their guiding principle, indeed their only principle is that the interests of RFC must remain paramount.

RL – yeah mate, fairly new. This is his usual Friday routine is it?

I am reading too much into everything at the moment – woman serving me my baked spud asked me if I wanted tuna with it and I presumed she meant that she was all for newhuns getting straight back into the SPL. We had words.

The point of supporting the politician in Glasgow was not because he happened to be Catholic. It was because he was willing to stand up against anti-Irish racism and anti-Catholic bigotry.

  20. Philvis. I well understand George Galloway and his politics. Having been voting since the mid 70’s and in one form or another been a fully paid up member of the Labour Party. Then an active member of the SSP for awhile, before growing into middle age gracefully and giving up on politics when you realise that they are all as bad as each other. I still believe that to have a high profile” personality” who is not afraid of the establishment in your corner and is a very astute politician ( whether you agree with him or not ) can only help your cause.

The great work that is being done on our behalf by Paul67, RTC and Phil is exceptional and long may it continue, however by their own admission the establishment will not entertain them in any form or fashion. I believe the words internet bampots is broadly used, so all I am suggesting is that someone like Galloway who has more access to the establishment than any of us would be an advantage to Lenny and could openly ask questions and demand answers that we could. I am aware that everyone on here is not of the same political or religious persuasion but is does not stop us all having the same common goals in supporting CFC,Lenny and that the Bigots of Govan get their just desserts ( Jelly and Icecream ).

  21. Anyone know what the craic is with busses and/or taxis from the Forge shopping centre after the game? The missus is coming over with me to the game and as she is 7 and a half months pregnant she doesn’t want to walk all the way back down to the barras or city centre like we normally do so going to head over to Forge after the game but don’t want to be hanging about too long.

  24. RalphWaldoEllison-is Neil Lennon Season 2011-12 on

Kenny Clark – media whore, incompetent referee and establishment Uncle Tim

    .

Sun – soft porn/titilation comic with antecedents that include Liverpool fans at Hillsborough, Wapping, and colluding with a sitting PM over tactics.

SFA – a corrupt and dysfunctional organisation that has governed Scottish Football to oblivion, such that it is ridiculed around the world. The SFA have now begun to parody themselves.

Charlie Nicholas – decent footballer who believed his own hype, failed to fulfil potential and crashed and burned. Career highlight was his time at CP but he now takes the Murdoch dollar so will say whatever earns him a bonus.

Men showing no dignity, courage, respect or decency, and corrupt organizations whose greatest achievements involve hypocrisy, self interest and destroying the lives of people.

Neil Lennon makes an indirect reference to the standard of recent refereeing and is once more summoned to appear before the SFA Star Chamber. Meanwhile, the SFA agents and ex referees, Kenny Clark and Stuart Dougal, are free to criticise Neil Lennon and Celtic FC, quite clearly with the sanction of the SFA.

Neil Lennon is not allowed to speak to referees, nor to speak about them, nor to ask for explanations from anyone at the SFA, nor to show any emotion, nor to feel aggrieved with any real or perceived refereeing/SFA injustices or unfairness. If he responds to any unfair treatment, he is being awkward, hot tempered, fiery, ill-tempered, showing poor self control, showing his true colours, and bringing all the pressures of his life upon himself.

The SFAs officers and agents are, by their actions and words, proving how incompetent and dysfunctional they are. It is much worse than we thought.

    HH Neil.

  28. i see alistair again being honest in the media today. his attitude lets their fans see exactly where they stood. rangers being liquidised is a serious worry for everyone in scottish football. where will the money come from if they go. we are in danger of laughing too much at all of this. where will we be if rangers are liquidised. i think we need to take a jump back and look at the bigger drawing. we might be back in the dinosuar age if that happens. kenny clark is a pure diddy by the way.

  30. I consider George Galloway to be an honest, fearless and decent person. I do not always agree with his views but admire him greatly and was delighted with his victory last night. This country and the UK as a whole badly need voices like George to be heard when there is so much corruption and bigotory all around us.

A man of high principles and one who will not cower to any pressure. More power to your elbow George but please no more Big Brother cat acts please.
