FIVE of the team who played their part in Ange Postecoglou’s silverware breakthrough a year ago today are not at Celtic this season.

The Greek-Australian gaffer utilised 15 players in the 2-1 League Cup Final victory over Hibs on a dramatic afternoon at the national stadium as he got his hands on his first trophy as Hoops boss six months after arriving as Neil Lennon’s successor.

Three of the Hampden heroes have left the club on a permanent basis while two are on season-long loans.

THE WAY WE WERE…Tom Rogic congratulates two-goal Kyogo Furuhashi as Celtic celebrate a dramatic Hampden triumph.

Tom Rogic, who set up the winner for Kyogo Furuhashi with a quick free-kick, left Parkhead after nine and a half years last summer and is now with Championship side West Brom.

Nir Bitton, who came on for the injured David Turnbull in the 27th minute, left the Hoops at the same time as the Australian playmaker and is now with Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Also leaving the Glasgow giants was lively raider Owen Moffat, a late substitute for Kyogo, joined English side tier side Blackpool on a three-year deal on the last day of the August transfer deadline.

Mikey Johnston moved on a temporary switch to Portuguese top-level outfit Vitoria Guimaraes while Republic of Ireland international defender Liam Scales, who came on as a late replacement for the former Scotland Under-21 winger, is on loan at Aberdeen.

The team against Hibs a year ago was: Joe Hart; Josip Juranovic, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Carl Starfelt, Greg Taylor (sub: Anthony Ralston 75); David Turnbull (sub: Nir Bitton 27), Tom Rogic, Callum McGregor; Liel Abada, Kyogo Furuhashi (sub: Owen Moffat 83) and Mikey Johnston (sub: Liam Scales 83).
