These pesky rules should prevent debts reaching a maturity of more than six months old and becoming subject of a Winding-up Order. I am sure old Heavily Conflicted, also known as the SFA president, will have sprung into action on hearing recent news.
The Rangers yesterday issued a short statement following Channel 4’s story that Orlit Enterprise threatened a Winding-Up Order, insisting, “Rangers Football Club is capable of meeting any debts presented legitimately and we would like to stress to our supporters there is no threat to the Club whatsoever”. They really need to stay on-message… football clubs are never threatened; it’s only the Company which can be liquidated! Apparently.
