Financial Fair Play, Winding Up Orders, new CQN Magazine

868

Scottish clubs are now subject to Uefa Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations which insist club’s pay creditors in a timely manner or become subject to sanctions.  These pesky rules should prevent debts reaching a maturity of more than six months old and becoming subject of a Winding-up Order.  I am sure old Heavily Conflicted, also known as the SFA president, will have sprung into action on hearing recent news.

The Rangers yesterday issued a short statement following Channel 4’s story that Orlit Enterprise threatened a Winding-Up Order, insisting, “Rangers Football Club is capable of meeting any debts presented legitimately and we would like to stress to our supporters there is no threat to the Club whatsoever”.  They really need to stay on-message… football clubs are never threatened; it’s only the Company which can be liquidated!  Apparently.

I hear Charles Green is on an international bucket collection, Dubai and then onto Australia.  Meanwhile, it is crucial no one disturbs his important work.  When you think of the people who could have taken ownership of Ibrox last year, he has been absolutely perfect.

On other matters……..

The new edition of CQN Magazine is out and available for your consumption.  Written by and for Celtic fans, it is another Celtic joy!

I’m also delighted to report we have been seriously diss’ed by the Italians ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League game. Notes for the dressing room wall coming up soon!

The peepils belief in Charles is strong. If he told them the reason padlocks suddenly appeared on the gates of Ibrox was to stop those nasty SPL/SFA people stealing titles they would believe him.

While reading The Herald on the train this morning, I saw an article on page 5 about Rangers which included a picture of a cracked Rangers crest.

67 heaven, that was me behaving myself. I removed most of what I was going to write in my previous post. Using this man’s disease is a sickening tactic designed to illicit sorrow for sevco’s plight. Behave myself?

Eh no, I don’t think so.

It’s very curious how the Huns have been trying to use the term bigot against us ….it’s almost as if its a conscious effort

Coming from them I find it amusing/ irritating if not outrageously hypocritical

Today’s Juve stuff [ it might be true /it might be guff]

Juve have asked Ghana to allow Asamoah to miss the African Nations 3rd place play off game. If Ghana agree , Asamoah will fly to London , train with Watford and then travel to Glasgow . Cynical me thinks then when you own Fiat you can probably afford a charitable donation to Ghana..

Lichsteiner and Barzagli picked up injuries in mid week international friendlies—– they are deemed unlikely to be fit to play against Fiorentina .

Marchisio has an injury but necessity might require him to play against Fiorentina..

    Red top alert !

Sandy jardine fought to save gers then fought to save his own life.

I wish him better luck with his current battle than he had with his battle to save the old bankrupt team.

No mention about the 400,000 quid so it’s a no story then

No mention either about jabbas rabble rousing rant. I guess it didn’t happen then?

Move along here nothing to see fholks……..

They seem to think that if you don’t mention these things they will just go away of their own accord

It’s like the stereotypical guy whose been paid off and is now in heavy debt and decides not to open the mail, because it just more bills, so he has a big drawer full of unanswered letters that he tries not to think about it. Do you think Chucky has got a drawer like that?

Anyway I never got the gist of why they owed the singaporeans money, if they have 20 million quid in the bank just burning a hole and waiting to be spent, I will try to understand that today

Seems like just yesterday Chucky was claiming that Fat Sally would be given 10 million quid to spend out of the share flotation and if sevconians bought season tickets next season again there would be another 20 million on top of that

They had their masonic network keeping thems more aware of the goings on for years.

No longer, since the rise of the net, information became accessible to every one.

That was the downfall of the huns…

They relied on the mason bongo drum. We took to the net and found informative sites such as pauls amongst many others to battle them.

They can call us bigots, as well informed tims is a crime in their eyes.

If you want to explain the use of the media as propaganda for a particular agenda then you could do worse that use Scottish football and the media here as a great bench mark.

When Rangers were laden with cash (aledgedly) it was told to us in the press that having money and a strong balance sheet was important.

When Celtic had money and a strong balance sheet we were ridiculed that balance sheets did not win trophies.

Now Sevco are harping on about being debt free and having great tradition.

We used to be ridiculed for singing our anthem which includes ‘If you know the history’. I was told it’s all about the now. The press followed that line.

I do remember bus loads of fat Rangers fans waving cash at us on the motorway. Hope they didn’t invest it in Sevco shares. Incidentally they are the only club that I have seen in Scotland who travel to games alone. While travelling to Celtic v Rangers games at Ibrox I was amazed at the amount of Huns in their cars on their own.

    Do they not mix well?

    Do they have no friends?

    Are they stupid?

All stupid questions I already know the answers to those.

The fact that they are talking about spending the sums in millions in the lower divisions pleases me. If Swally needs £10m worth of tranfers to get back in the SPL then they are going in the right direction again. Down the swanny.

If Neil Lennon spent £10m-£20m on players we would win this Champions League! We may just win it anyway.

Just read the Zombie Press Release from yesterday.

    “The Producers” springs to mind.

I can’t imagine Jabba wrote it unless it’s an attempt at a dumbed-down pastiche of your typical FF thread.

It also screams out MAJOR CASH FLOW PROBLEMS.

  19. Uefa has responded to growing concerns over the high cost of watching football in England by reducing the cheapest ticket for this year’s Champions League final at Wembley to £68.
