Financial Fair Play, Winding Up Orders, new CQN Magazine

868

Scottish clubs are now subject to Uefa Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations which insist club’s pay creditors in a timely manner or become subject to sanctions.  These pesky rules should prevent debts reaching a maturity of more than six months old and becoming subject of a Winding-up Order.  I am sure old Heavily Conflicted, also known as the SFA president, will have sprung into action on hearing recent news.

The Rangers yesterday issued a short statement following Channel 4’s story that Orlit Enterprise threatened a Winding-Up Order, insisting, “Rangers Football Club is capable of meeting any debts presented legitimately and we would like to stress to our supporters there is no threat to the Club whatsoever”.  They really need to stay on-message… football clubs are never threatened; it’s only the Company which can be liquidated!  Apparently.

I hear Charles Green is on an international bucket collection, Dubai and then onto Australia.  Meanwhile, it is crucial no one disturbs his important work.  When you think of the people who could have taken ownership of Ibrox last year, he has been absolutely perfect.

On other matters……..

The new edition of CQN Magazine is out and available for your consumption.  Written by and for Celtic fans, it is another Celtic joy!

I’m also delighted to report we have been seriously diss’ed by the Italians ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League game. Notes for the dressing room wall coming up soon!

How thems really feel…no tears now…they enjoyed their cheating ways, time to pay the piper.

I have been a season ticket holder since 1973.

I never considered not renewing my ticket for this sesaon, as I wanted to show my support. I also bought shares to show my support as I believe we were badly treated by the SPL and SFA.

However even though i will renew my tickets for next season, I think Rangers have lost their way big time.

I go to football matches to be entertained, and like many others I thought we would see a procession of big results on our way to the third division title.

Instead we have limped into a lead, and a team full of highly paid ex SPL players have totally underperformed and with the exception of the Motherwell game.

I am not in the “Blue Order” and often find them more entertaining than the dross on the pitch. It is loyalty that has kept me attending, and although I will continue to pay for tickets, I am now finding it hard to be motivated to freeze while watching players go through the motions and expect our loyalty while offering little in return.

Without Jig, there is no one willing to kick ass and get the invisible men like Shields and Perry to perform. The manager has little options till the transfer market opens to us again, but is it too much to ask these players to reward our loyalty by trying harder and entertaining us?

Our team of youngsters were actually older than the Dundee United team that walked all over us, did anyone see any of our players hurting? They are full time professionals and look less fit than the part time postmen et all in the third division. This is shameful and must not be allowed to continue.

If Ally can’t motivate our players he should do the walking away. If things don’t improve, many season tickets will be left unsold next year, I will renew, but may not attend as I feel my commitment deserves a commitment from our players in return.
