Scottish clubs are now subject to Uefa Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations which insist club’s pay creditors in a timely manner or become subject to sanctions. These pesky rules should prevent debts reaching a maturity of more than six months old and becoming subject of a Winding-up Order. I am sure old Heavily Conflicted, also known as the SFA president, will have sprung into action on hearing recent news.
The Rangers yesterday issued a short statement following Channel 4’s story that Orlit Enterprise threatened a Winding-Up Order, insisting, “Rangers Football Club is capable of meeting any debts presented legitimately and we would like to stress to our supporters there is no threat to the Club whatsoever”. They really need to stay on-message… football clubs are never threatened; it’s only the Company which can be liquidated! Apparently.

Re Celtic publishing contract with Trinity Mirror and Blotto’s jaundiced view, he fails to mention that the old Rangers News (RIP) was, like the CV, published by First Press Publishing, a subsidiary of the Daily Record a few years ago.
The company who later won this contract CRE8 Publishing went under in 2011 owing Celtic £400k and old Rangers £500k.

Sports Radio man has just said that Platini won’t be at Celtic Park. Apparently the poor wee man has much work to do re the match fixing /betting in Europe thing..

We are being told via the media that Rangers league place was transfered to Newco not a totally new entry into the league which is slightly different from a totally different club. It all sounds rather shady and under hand which sums them up perfectly.
UEFA hold the key though and they look at them as a new club and are treating them as such. They are not illegible to enter Europe for 3 years.
I’m not sure how it works but I have read a wee bit about it and it looks to me that this 3 year period is on production of there first set of accounts which haven’t been published yet. They may be frozen out of Europe for some time to come.
The SFA have handled the whole scenario shamefully as we all know. The fact they have the same jersey and almost identical name is a disgrace.

Think Forrest will be given the chance to play 90 minutes tomorrow and to see how he reacts. If Sammi is out on Tuesday I can see us risking Forrest from the start against Juve, if fit.

Ah livibhoy, Unfortunately I exhausted my expertise on the Stock exchange on one single sentence in my earlier mail message.( I know nuffink!)
But it’s a good way to officially have a share in celtic without paying out hundreds of quid. Lets face it we are not using it as a financial investment, only a cherished keepsake, and in that case a single share is as good as 500 shares.
You will never be able to out vote Mr Desmond but you will officially be a shareholder and always remember that your single Celtic share is worth more than the old rangers shares added together.

I know what your saying , the bit that gets me is how they are allowed to claim the company died not the club pash.

It’s portrayed differently because it is Rangers that went bust. No other reason.

Maybe its time to give Miku another chance tomorrow. Forrest, Forster, Kayal and Stokes need the game time, Watt and McGeouch are deserving of the chance of a start and we could see Gershon or Rogic for the first time. We may need to play a couple of our first choice defenders as we are short in numbers there but I wouldn’t be upset at seeing a couple of youngsters (Fraser? Chalmers?) given a run out.
We have the squad to leave out all of the big hitters required for Tuesday.
