Financial Fair Play, Winding Up Orders, new CQN Magazine

868

Scottish clubs are now subject to Uefa Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations which insist club’s pay creditors in a timely manner or become subject to sanctions.  These pesky rules should prevent debts reaching a maturity of more than six months old and becoming subject of a Winding-up Order.  I am sure old Heavily Conflicted, also known as the SFA president, will have sprung into action on hearing recent news.

The Rangers yesterday issued a short statement following Channel 4’s story that Orlit Enterprise threatened a Winding-Up Order, insisting, “Rangers Football Club is capable of meeting any debts presented legitimately and we would like to stress to our supporters there is no threat to the Club whatsoever”.  They really need to stay on-message… football clubs are never threatened; it’s only the Company which can be liquidated!  Apparently.

I hear Charles Green is on an international bucket collection, Dubai and then onto Australia.  Meanwhile, it is crucial no one disturbs his important work.  When you think of the people who could have taken ownership of Ibrox last year, he has been absolutely perfect.

On other matters……..

The new edition of CQN Magazine is out and available for your consumption.  Written by and for Celtic fans, it is another Celtic joy!

I’m also delighted to report we have been seriously diss’ed by the Italians ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League game. Notes for the dressing room wall coming up soon!

  1. Elephant gun is out !!!! Is it just me or do u get the feeling LNS findings have been released to Sevco and with Hector appealing against the dubious ruling and the high possibilty of BDO reclaiming the asbestos dome, car park and other assets were heading for a St Valentines Day extravaganza again lol !!

Strange that Jabba says they will “return to” the top flight while Charlie says they are pursuing a move to England. This director of communications doesn’t seem to communicate very well.

    Jabba….behave yourself…..

“That’s why we made an offer to settle but we now find we are still being harassed.” …….why are you being harrassed ? ……when you’re saying you HAVE agreed a figure……?

“Rangers have agreed a figure to settle this issue”………why are Orlt taking you to court then?

“If Orlit wish to instruct their lawyers to go to court then we will defend our position vigorously.” …….Doooooohhhhh

“but it is ridiculous to hand over more than is due.” …….. But you’ve agreed a figure..!!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha…….jabba’s nearly as good at PR as sally is at managing a football team…!!…..journalist ?…… Hahahahahahahahahaha

  8. Good evening all from the Red Sea coast,

I was in Jeddah today and saw two young Saudi boys, one had a Man Utd strip on with Rooney printed on the back, the other had The Hoops on with Lassad on the back :)

I then tune in here tonight and read about the latest from the Newco and the insane ramblings of an ex-journalist, who must have the most incredible pension fund accumulated because surely he can never work in any part of the Scottish media ever again? James if you are watching – really embarrasing stuff!

Back to my man in Jeddah with The Hoops on…. We are now quite simply worlds ahead of; the old, new or to-be club in Blue. I work beside Saudi guys who love their football and they want to talk to me about Celtic and talk in real admiration of Victor, Fraser, Hooper, Samaras and us the fans. I miss being home and at the games, but feel more proud than ever at being part of this most very special of football clubs! I truly believe The Celtic Football Club brand is in great shape and its world wide strength will influence where we play our football in future!

I used to think that there was no chance of us ever escaping this joke of a football establishment. Howevvva, the league association, sponsorship etc with the former entity and new club (Yes James it is!) which has held us back for so long is now finished! Also, seeing and hearing what people say about Celtic here in the Middle East, I genuinely dont think it is as much of a ‘hubbly bubbly’ pipe dream as it once was!

For now, I am so looking forward to the game on Tuesday and have a good feeling that our world-wide profile will be further enhanced!

    God bless,

Shurely the unseen Roman Hand of Opus Dei must be involved :D

  10. Is it true that Alastair ‘No Surrender’ Johnstone has had to issue a clarification of Jabba’s statement?

That’s a bit embarrassing for everyone involved.

  11. As Mountainbhoy (I think) said a wee while ago, the volume of shares being traded in RFC is tiny.

Since trading started 2189489 have been sold, with 222179 bought (+- a wee bit as I’m too tired for this malarkey).

So 90% of all shares traded have been sold and yet the price is currently 17% higher than it opened at on 19/12/2012. What was that they were saying on FF about manipulation?

  12. Ah, sTICks, good to hear from you mate!

Will be thinking of you on Tuesday evening. Particularly if I’m out for a couple after a famous victory!

Better check on the Cointreau and Lilt supplies ;-)

Oh and you’ll be interested to know it’s ‘unplugged’ at Easter – irreplaceable!

They will buy all his bollox and bluster…meanwhile Greengo gets on with the job in hand ..screwing them for every penny they are foolish enough to give him

“As soon as the changes agreed for Rangers PR and media kick in the approach will be very different.”

Maybe that’s it! Jabba throws some raw meat to the hordes. They devour it like it was going on ration. Then Charlie decides to put future rants behind a paywall and charge them mega-bucks to read it. And they probably would pay!

I love that they think they own shares in The Rangers Football Club. When in fact they own shares in the company that owns Rangers. A company that could sell The Rangers Football Club, then award it’s directors big bonuses and it’s other shareholders (if they own the correct share type) a tiny dividend. The company could then dwindle into nothing, leaving the shareholders with the same.

That wouldn’t be allowed to happen. Would it?

  17. Where’s Chic when we need him?

  21. I think the Job of Communications Officer that J Traynor has with

TRFC??.is the best thing that has happened to CQN for over a year.I think he will bring TRFC to it’s knees quicker than anyone else.I’ve had a smile on my face all day, with the Crap that’s being written by JT.He nearly brought the Daily Record to it’s knees,But I think he will succeed with the TRFC.
