Find how best to use Scott Brown

815

Neil Lennon will be delighted to have secured his captain, Scott Brown, on a new long-term contract which sees the player tied to the club until after his 30th birthday in 2015, with the club having an option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.

Scott joined Celtic in 2007 and played central midfield until last season, when he was occasionally used wide right, to great effect.  Reflecting some of the conversations we had earlier this week with Georgios Samaras, who has recently been a revelation wide-left after years of frustration as part of a front pairing, Scott seemed to revel in the space the wider position allowed him to exploit.

Before joining Celtic Scott made his name playing almost as an auxiliary striker at Hibernian, where he would burst into the box with well-timed runs but at Celtic he is more commonly anchored in a defensive midfield role.  As a consequence, despite having played more games for Celtic than Hibs, and playing for a team who attack far more often, he has still to match his Hibs goals scored total at Celtic.

Handicap is up though, no hitting the ball as far as I did last year, some of the par 5’s are impossible to reach in 2 any more.

Follow this precisely, and you may just make it.

…Take the juice of one quart IRN BRU (ice cold), fill a tall glass and imbibe luxuriantly.

Next – choose a Choc Ice and consume while reclining on your Lay-Z-Bhoy or similar comfortable armchair.

The TV should be on, but mute.

After a reasonable nap, swallow copious handfuls of Haribo swedgers till your sugar levels max out.

Again, nap for about 20 mins.

When you awake you will have survived the worst of it, and you may once again peruse the fridge for a suitable ‘frosty’.

    Et voila!

It’s amazing that after only one week at poundland that Aluko is so well versed in the dark arts, must be something they put in the pigswill over there!!

There’s a lot of napping in there. You trying to get rid of me :)

“If it is as bad as it appears, then Conroy must surely be finished.”

    I doubt it.

    From an earlier post.

“Conroy gave a penalty that he had a clear view of but not one other person thought it was a penalty and he awarded only one free kick against Ragers. I do not think he is corrupt or part of a conspiracy but yet another who knows that it is better to err for Ragers rather than err against them.”

  9. Does that mean that Aluko gets to pay his own wages this week???

On a more positive note we are on the way up and they are on the way down, we have scored some beautiful goals recently and been good to watch, that must have been murder at morder the day!!

Looking forward to the game tomorrow, got an empty house as Mrs Starry just confirmed she’s going out with the weans!!

Wee trip over the border tomorrow morning to secure some French Reds and that an afternoon of Celtic, don’t get no better in Switzerland than that!!

Thistle Hotel seeing as I wasn’t invited to the CQN night :)))

Walking in saw John Robertson outside having a smoke. Then when I got to the table all the wumman were shrieking that Henke and big Sutton were sitting in the bar.

40 years old and still star struck.

Not surprised about the penalty decision, use to it by now. On the last drinking hour so that I can drive tomorrow to the game.

Stop drinking at 10pm on a Saturday shocking…………….

  12. iki- Yes Conroy learned a hard lesson when he sent Mendes off at Kilmarnock. Rangers FC/Laptop Loyal were after his blood.

His performance in the 1-1 draw at CP in the New Year game during BTM’s tenure was approaching farce- clearly spooked by Collum’s roasting after sending Miller off when the Huns beat Dundee Utd 7-2 in the preceding game, not that Walter ever pressurised a referee.

    He is a coward.

  15. I really cannae believe some of the attitude on here at our Captain signing for 4 years? One of the most noticeable talents to come from the Scottish game for 10 years and we doubt his credentials, his affinity with the club, his skills, his attitude etc? We have to operate within a backwater against cheats and this is what we get?

  16. Did the SFA bring a rule this year to give retrospective red cards to people who conned refs?

A glaring example of blatant cheating
