I’ve been sent a brain teaser. What legal reasons would someone have to discretely pay another individual £500k? The people are not currently in business together, although the recipient previously worked for the sender. No goods have been provided.
It’s a puzzle.
Looking for legal reasons only, no crazy illegal notions or wild speculation about real persons, this is purely a theoretical exercise.
Apparently I’m being sent a moral dilemma tomorrow: Will the recipient, with off-shore accounts but living in interesting times, declare the £500k?

Now that Duffield has left the building who will be running the mega money get rich quick scams…sorry schemes to raise funds for the financially challenged at Ibrokes, and how could they let a man go who instigated the hugely successful plunge into the Indian market, the lucrative opening of the London office and the phenomenal tie up with “top” Brazilian sides. Without his leadership these visionary initiatives may well go the way of the unlucky casino venture. Do they have no understanding of his genius!

For example, he has Scotland ranked 18 but that is for 2011/12.
For 2012/13 Scotland is ranked at 15 which makes the difference.

My uncles still wince when the Mark Walters-affair is mentioned, but in my Celtic supporting life booing wee Fergus was a possibly the darkest day, and I think a lot of fans would like to make amends to the man/bunnet who saved our club.
