I’ve been sent a brain teaser. What legal reasons would someone have to discretely pay another individual £500k? The people are not currently in business together, although the recipient previously worked for the sender. No goods have been provided.
It’s a puzzle.
Looking for legal reasons only, no crazy illegal notions or wild speculation about real persons, this is purely a theoretical exercise.
Apparently I’m being sent a moral dilemma tomorrow: Will the recipient, with off-shore accounts but living in interesting times, declare the £500k?

My first view of Celtic .League Cup final. Ranglers overwhelming favourites and they did not except defeat like gentlemen.
Celtic had to cut short the lap-of-honour and run for their lives as the huns invaded the pitch.
It was mayhem around me in the mixed enclosure .
Vastly outnumbered Celtic fans getting attacked all around and outside making our way to the station was more really bad scenes of violence .
A little off topic,,,but i just want to say Happy Birthday to my beautiful wee lassie Cameron who is 7 today,,love you loads hen xxxx

All those poor Rangers folk, duped by the evil genius that is Craig Whyte. They really thought he was the billionaire whyte knight come to save them. And no one could possibly have uncovered the truth about his past.
Unless they had Googled him of course. Or checked his previous record as a company director. Or the court cases he had been involved in? The ban on acting as a company director? All matter of public record.
Anyone familiar with a computer could have found all of that out within ten minutes. And any self respecting journalist should be thinking about resigning if he or she couldn’t manage that level of basic research.

Thomas Rogne had a wee rest in midweek and could be back today. And if Scott Brown has a knock he can have the day off with Victor Wanyama coming back into the midfield. I wouldn’t be surprised to see James Forrest or Sami start in place of Kris Commons too.
