Game time shortage for Compper

768

While the postponement of today’s Premiership game against Dundee was inevitable, Brendan Rodgers and the players will be far from happy not participating in a game they prepared for.  For the manager, in particular, this of one of the two games he could deploy Marvin Compper before heading to Ibrox a week on Sunday.

Compper signed his Celtic contact in December but it will be March before he wears the hoops for the first time. His experience would be invaluable at Ibrox next week, but on the back of only one game, and that against lower league opposition?

I don’t know the player but without further evidence, I’d stick with Ajer and Simonovic.

NORTH CYPRUS (BAKU NO MORE) BHOY,

You’re correct of course. I’m worried now I’m losing it. I was on the blinking thing in 2001. When it was still Mobil.

    Total…..Alwyn.

I watched the Beryl Jacket being built at the RDL yard in Methil from my classroom window at Buckhaven High School, which is why I remember.

Not been offshore in the North Sea since 1996, when I left the Ninian field. Hopefully, I will not be offshore again, but never say never. :-)

Arsenal fans boo their team. Hmm. But they were actually booing Peta Czech when he took pass backs. What’s that all about. Not like any of my he goals were his fault.

Hotels ok but not the best grub. Better eating in the Cruin or Duck Bay which are close by. If you want a scone, cake or soup drop into Luss Coachhouse. If you go east to Balquidder then the falls at Killin are quite impressive at this time of year. If you like hidden history then in Callander seek out samson’s stone and the Dunmore Iron Age Hill Fort.

If you head west from your hotel you could take in the George at Inveraray. Great seafood and run by good Celtic people. If you’re really happy to travel then further west to Kilmartin Glen is where Kelts first arrived, sun worshippers history and knights templar too.

  14. I’ve never understood why players open their foot when hitting a penalty. Even worse when they hit it at a middle height and take a straight run up. My thoughts are always close your foot, hit it hard and preferably low. The harder the ball is hit the less likely the keeper is to save it regardless of direction.

    Never say never right enough.

18 years since I was here last.

Last snippet…..(apologies to those forced to scroll)…..copy and paste:

The name “Brent” comes from the naming policy of Shell UK Exploration and Production, operating on behalf of ExxonMobil and Royal Dutch Shell, which originally named all of its fields after birds, (in this case the Brent goose).

But it is also a backronym or mnemonic for the formation layers of the oil field:

Broom, Rannoch, Etive, Ness and Tarbert.

  16. From Mrs TET

Our Bobby came for Maggie, he offered her his hand.

She asked if he was consort, to the promised land ?

“Ah sure your passage will be safe, there’s plenty there to meet”

Maggie smiled and went with him, till she felt the heat!

“What is this place you take me, where is my throne and crown?

Our Bobby said to Maggie, “I think your going down !”

Ten brave men stood in judgement, deciding on her fate.

The eternal burning fires of hell, or heavens pearly gates.

The first to speak was Raymond, he looked her up and down

With Francis, Joe and Michael standing close, Maggie gave a frown.

While we hungered for justice, your judgement sealed our fate.

It’s the fires of hell for you, ye bitch not heavens pearly gates.

Then Thomas, Kevin, Kieran and Patsy all gave their thought

If Maggie should enter the gates of paradise, or not

Martin smiled at Bobby, they agreed her fate was sealed.

For crimes again the IRISH, compassion she would not yield.

Then St Peter gave a smile at Gods chosen men

For they were her jury, those bold courageous ten.

He asked what they decided, what is her fate do tell ?

Bobby smiled and pushed her, into the fiery bowels of hell

Thank you Hamilton Tim, as I’ve said in the past I got to visit the H Blocks & stood in the cell where Bobby died, overall a harrowing experience but having been there the Diaries even hit me harder.

  21. 15 months ago Lustig stood up to Leroy Sane and did a decent job at the Etihad. Anyone who’s seen either player of late would find that hard to believe.
