  1. We need to get ourselves from where we are today to the end of the season and make sure we win the league as a minimum. The Scottish Cup will be harder as we don’t seem to perform or have any “luck” at Hampden.

    Then we need to sort out our issues.

    That I believe is the plan. The support needs to play its part.

  2. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    happy clapper, miserable bassa, left , came back, sick of the bored, love the bored, love the new cqn, hate the cqn, ronniethusiast, think it’s time for him to , kojo, not kojo- doesn’t matter what we are here bhoys, we’re going to have to stick together when the newco arrive because the cheating being will shocking and endemic.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You better believe it-they’re softening us up in advance and giving the SMSM a rehearsal of the excuses to rationalise decisions.
    Time for every Celtic supporter to remember who our enemies are. Having a disagreement with another Celtic supporter shouldn’t make them less of a Celtic supporter-only one with a minor variance in opinion.
    Our enemies are without,not within. And they are many enough without making more.
  3. THE BATTERED BUNNETT
    both teams get chances in every game and in most sports that’s a given, and hind sight is 20/20 this recurring practise still keeps us top of the league and long may it continue, and at the end of the season when we win the SC and the SPL my point will be proved, until then we differ. I say tomatoes you say…….
  4. Jungle Jim Hot Smoked on
    I have just seen the highlights. I hadn`t known we were awarded as second penalty which made me even more saddened about dropping points! Anyway, some personal opinions :
    1) Very harsh red card;
    2) Very wrong of Ronny Deila to say it was correct decision;
    3) Leigh Griffiths is not a good taker of penalties;
    4) The second penalty decision was correct but we do not often see that kind given so I have to conclude that Thomson was genuine ie not biased, in his Boyata red card decision.
    JJ
  5. Just my opinion but if we have to rely on CM then we are in a worst state than i thought, just watch the HA goal from the behind the goal camera view and witness the shambolic Celtic defending.
  6. TD67,
    Notwithstanding your usual ostrich like behaviour of all things Celtic. The Celtic manager threw Boyata under the bus. RD does not deserve to be Celtic manager. How do you think Boyata feels about the manager after being publicly shafted by RD. How do you think the dressing room feels about their supposed leader.
    RD is finished as he took the cowards route ; he didn’t stand up for his player. He is only thinking of his own survival.
    I having nothing but contempt for RD and he needs to be sacked.
    I know their is a small section of Celtic fans like you that cannot think for themselves. In a strange way it is almost Hun like behaviour with your siege mentality behaviour. I actually feel sorry for you and your blind devotion to all things Celtic. Open up your mind.
    We have someone in place today who is never a Celtic manager. Last night he crossed the rubicon. No Celtic manager in living memory would have done what RD done to Boyata.
    There are many words to be considered in describing RD : project, inexperienced, cheap, inflexible, ….last night I new one can be added for RD…coward.
  7. Joe Filippis Haircut on
    I think Ronny is in an impossible position in my opinion he has lost a large part of the Celtic support.Now that means many of them wont turn up for matches and also means there renewal of season tickets is unlikely that in turn will upset the board ( as to them it is all about the money ).I feel now as much as I like Ronny as a person he needs a miracle to keep his job beyond the end of the season as a Celtic fan he will have my support as long as he is the manager but I feel that wont be for all that long. H.H.
  8. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on
    Praecepta,
    Cheers,
    However further on in the document it gives a bit more on responsibilities and that officials need to comply with the rules, the straight leg tackle requires a red card which was not adhered to, it does not mention interpretations of rules it demands compliance.
    The straight leg tackle was deemed dangerous because of health and safety reviews of the game, the ref does not have freedom to ignore health and safety rules introduced to the rule book, does he ?
    Just thinking allowed, hopefully pick up on it a later date.
    Hail Hail
  9. Our back ‘line’ appear to play a W formation; there’s no cohesion and one pass easily splits us.
    Last night, once again, wasn’t a great watch and if WC is on the money then change will happen in the summer…can’t come quick enough.
    Thomson couldn’t wait to get his card out last night: forget the offside; contact with the ball; don’t ask your linesman and a goal scoring opportunity if you are Messi. Disgrace of a ref.
    WC-Well done with everything you are doing for big Tam. YNWA
  10. WINNING CAPTAINS
    I admire your courage at that statement, but the ship has long gone, the hatered from some not just in here but all over on RD and everything Celtic REALY gets to me, it upsets me the politics on Celtic are shared by both so called Celtic supporters and the SMSM, I never thought I’d see the day, deny it all they want, the splinter groups started all this divide along with help from the SMSM.
    But 10/10 for your effort.
  11. Have to say Brown was appalling last night he did nothing. We need a defensive midfiled player to protect the defense. We need to be able to defend corners and we need to stop buying overweight infit players Zazim Richards and Cole why? Also Ronnie Ia m afraid his time is up.
  12. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on
    I hated the rubicons, couldn’t even get one side never mind the whole cube.
  13. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on
    JJHS,
    Did the show the tackle on KT ?
    Straight leg potentially career ending.
  14. Defensive midfielder to protect the defence…can’t the defence protect itself?….imagine protecting big Bobo, Mjallby and Joos?
  15. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on
    Weebobbyc…,
    The defence are more than capable of protecting themselves, they have shown that when asked to play a defensive game, problem is they are not being asked to play a defensive role they are extra wingers and midfielders and when they assume those roles that’s when the problems happen, I mean who would ever think the opposition are going to try and attack us eh
  16. LUCKY CODY BETS
    strange as it may seem I nearly apologised for being a Celtic supporter on a Celtic blog saying positive things about my club, (ironic eh?), and you know Celtic fans who can’t think for themselves? You don’t know me? Clue me in here, so after you make a post we all agree that’s it? Lol, do you post while looking at yourself in the mirror? We are not worthy.
  17. WINNING CAPTAINS 12:15
    ————————————–
    [CLOSURE]
    Last night was Celtic’s season in microcosm – in short, the inability to close out.
    The title could ‘slip through our fingers’ due to self-inflicted wounds.
    Just like some many important games, e.g. ICT semi, Ross County semi and again last night – we should have been well ahead before the opposition scored.
    So will we get caught ‘on the line’ in the title-race after having had a number of chances to ‘close out’?
    Make no mistake, if the Dons close to four points today – they might just take this latest chance.
  18. The Green Man says SACK THE Board on
    Afternoon Celts
    Good luck to Chris McLaughlin today for Ross County.
    And good luck to DD:)
    Defensive midfielder to protect the defence…can’t the defence protect itself?….imagine protecting big Bobo, Mjallby and Joos?
    They had Lennon and Lambert. Even good defenders, like those you mentioned, need a midfield in front of them capable of breaking up play and tracking runners.
  20. Celtic will pish this league, and the SC, I have no doubt at all, Aberdeen are a one trick pony and he’s injured, we WILL get clugged to death doing it, but we WILL do it.
  21. The Green Man says SACK THE Board on
    Mr Pastry
    Not good performance last night.
    Still think we will fall over the line though, and win the league.
    However, i cannot see RD leading us in the CL and against the Huns.
    It hasnt worked out for RD….That’s football.
    Changes afoot i think.
    >>>>>>>>
    Considering winning the league should (have) been a given, the worry is that Ronny will lead us into another disastrous euro campaign.
    It’s now getting so bad half the fans are scared of getting into the CL.
    Is the new manager going to be getting a couple of weeks before euro qualifiers? Or is Ronny getting a fourth tilt at the CL after winning 0/6 in Europa and 0/3 in CL?
    is this management? This is cutting of our nose to spite our face because we want to be seen to be doing the ‘right’ thing. Because people don’t want to admit they were wrong.
    Backing Ronny now until May/ June is detrimental to next season. Right man in wrong job. He has to go now. Approach Moyes today
  23. I said after the East Kilbride game that Ronny should go. I really don’t get the wait until the end of the season, why? We look vulnerable in every game now, a shambles. A short term appointment to lift the morale with a healthy bonus to get us over the league line, then we can look at the real culprits in the boardroom. Leaving him in situ is a mistake.
  24. TBB
    The key observation is that this is not an isolated incident. It’s a recurring practice. It happens in virtually every game, and in virtually every game, leads to the team conceding chances to the opposition through a single misplaced pass. – See more at: http://www.celticquicknews.co.uk/hamilton-accies-v-celtic-live-updates-3/comment-page-27/#comments
    ========
    Or as happened last night a poorly controlled receipt of a pass by Brown who got his legs in a fankle although I think the surface contributed to the mistake.
    We were well on top at that time yet could have gone one behind which would have been very disheartening for the players.
    We have to be 3 in front now to relax enough to enjoy the football otherwise it’s not enjoyment watching, it’s mental torture.
    The nature of the game we play has its own undoing unbuilt.
    Question is can it be changed or does it over a season win leagues?
  25. TGM
    If we keep dropping points like we did last night, the league is not a given, but like you I do believe we will stumble over the line.
    The cheats with the whistles will have a major say in how it pans out.
