Hope you do make it back down here, as you know it’s a Celtic

loving country and i’m certain you and E will adore our beaches

all the way down the peninsula.

Talking about Guinness, if you had asked me that during the

week after our CSC free Guinness day i think i would have spewed

    little livener shortly he he.

  2. Guys we won today ffs.

    Come on.

Hopefuly a wee win next Sunday and it’s the first trophy of the treble treble.??

A wee win on Thursday would be good for confidence but Sunday’s the one for me.

    Shortsighted or what??

    D. :)

Brendan made his stance with our summer transfer window clear, nothing to be gained by continually banging that drum, we move on, we have trophies to try and win.

Really looking forward to Sunday especially and a crack at 7 in a row trophies, unbelievable to think posters only weeks ago wanted him gone.

Brendan is the best thing to happen to this club since Jock Stein, let’s hope he stays to extend his dynasty. HH

Much to my annoyance I never spoke to my father enough about Celtic but apart from George Connelly being a player he loved he never had one good word about the Kelly’s & Whites but again the AGM meant heehaw to me before I read these pages… I do think P67 should have commented but who am I to tell P67 what to put on an article … for me more should be said about how well we are doing on the financials “despite” of every obstacle …. but again most importantly if Brendan is happy with the “suits” that’s good enough for me hope Brendan stays for years in the words of Shug Keevins “for as long as Brendan is here Rangers (sic) will be in his shadow”

    Now we are pals :-)

Do you think Ryan Christie would have got a game if Brendan got his number 1 target John McGinn in the summer ?

I didn’t think Ryan would have got near our first 11, but also thought the same with Callum MacGregor… so trust me I am very rarely correct :-)

For the record Ryan C is impressing me every minute he plays

  6. Yer sitting there contemplating… your boy comes in playing Neil Young like it’s the greatest thing he’s ever heard and it wakes you from your slumber and gives you hope.

  7. Just saw a couple of cracking goals from Armstrong at Southamprton.

Pleased to see him starting to make an impression.

Leigh Griffiths now in better elf, wits he like?

  8. Gerryfaethebrig

Ryan got his chance out of necessity with injuries but its thrilling to see him grab it and I thought he was our best player again today, well done Ryan as he comes across as a nice kid.

What has impressed me about his play that i never realised at first is how good he is at winning the ball back and getting us going forward.

He does it without tackling having great positional sense and reading of the game a skill the great Barcelona team posessed. HH pal ?

The ending of the Soviet Union and the liberation of its satellite states and their imprisoned people

    deserves a bit of lionizing.

    Don`t you think ?

Regan and Thatcher . Lions indeed.

I wish Maggie was overseeing Brexit on our behalf.

Say’s lots about you lionizing two people who murdered people for political gain.

And the consequences of crack cocaine are still having a negative effect on this country today.

    her job.

  11. Sid 10.53pm

I thought Ryan C was a decent player didn’t think he would impose himself on our midfield … canny wait until Broony is in there helping him progress

You are bang on with his tackling ability I just thought he was a bit of a luxury player who flitted in and out with Aberdeen … delighted to be so wrong … only downside I remember his dad Charlie being homesick when he sighed for us …. where does the time go

Ryan Christie first goal v the Dons next Sunday ?

  14. Gerry et all.

    Opinions eh.

I very much doubt that McGinn was Brendans top target this summer, I do think he was used to beat each side up with, that goes for both sides and this leads me on to…..I also very much doubt that Brendan is happy with the “suits” no manager is gonna say what they really think about the suits who control things, if they did they would NEVER work again, so to use that is plain wrong, just wrong.

The day Brendan was introduced to the support and the media was the day Pedro realised he was no longer the main man, that hurt him big time, Brendan is Dermot’s man, I know what BR has said but they say many things that they have to say, it’s all part of the politics as you well know.

IMO, Pedro has not supported Brendan as much as he could and should have, we will see what transpires when he leaves, hopeful, not me, I honestly wish I was.

As for being financially super dooper, for sure we are, all down to Brendan and the team and Dermo for appointing him, the rest of the suits have done feck all imo to further the progress of the team, they have lined their pockets for little work so great work if you can get it I suppose, I am still waiting for someone, anyone to tell me what they do for the money they take out of the club every year, I exclude Pedro and Dermot for this, the rest of the suits, what the eff do they actually do, cos I am at a major loss what they do for their remuneration every year.

Opinions, what wonderful things they are.

Another thing is all this you are anti Celtic cos you are anti the board, nothing could be further from the truth, the board are not pro Celtic, they are pro the PLC, the team are secondary to them, to deny this is plain crazy, I am pro the team, always have been always will be, do you honestly believe that I and others spend so much time talking about this cos we don’t want them to do well, to think otherwise is daft.

    Opinions Eh.

  15. Hi guys

I was visiting my local amenities site to get rid of some bags of rubbish recently when I seen an old sevco seat cum storage box lying therein.

I then threw my bags on top of it one by one until it had disappeared completely amidst all the trash.

    I felt real good immediately.

    Stupid? Yes

    Childish? Of course

Would I do it again? You bet your henrys I would .

    Ps nice win today

Yet again I don’t disagree at all

My post mentioning McGinn was tongue in cheek… just to amuse me, but my point was I didn’t see a space for Ryan Christie without Brendan spending £3m and a very big weekly pay packet so I think if we had got John then Ryan might not have got a sniff …. sometimes luck plays a bigger part than skill .. in a roundabout way I am saying I was so wrong about Ryan C… but delighted and hope he keeps proving me incorrect :-)

  17. Gerry

Ryan has always impressed me, I was delighted when we bought him from ICT, Ronny wisny that bad a judge after all….if indeed it was he who bought him that is :-)

I still don’t believe he was Brendan’s top target tho, had he been he would be playing for us just now imo.

Look there are so many facets to this, we can speculate till the cows come home, we will take sides and post what we post, at the end of the day we all want the same thing, well most of us do, I just can’t be doing with all the pish and wind that goes with it, calling me a liar isny what I would be expecting for a fellow Celtic man, but there you go, I am all the bad bully’s for calling them out, you really couldn’t make it up.

    HH. ?

    ——-

But at least his KKK and MAGA pals got him back all to themselves.

As for Margaret Thatcher. Sorry Macjay, she’s currently applying Factor1million in a hot place where she will spend eternity.

Any more of this right wing quick news pish and I’ll be on Sentinel Celts too.

  19. TET

I meant McGinn was BRs target not Ryan …

Just nipped onto SC to see what they were saying :-)

    Still very little Celtic chat

  20. Yous would have chased Walfrid out of town and nailed the peacenik to a tree for confronting Israeli policy.

    My arse.

  21. Gerry

Obviously it wisny Ryan since he has been with us for a few years ffs ;-)

So, does cqn only talk about Celtic, I would wager that the new site talks more Celtic than cqn post for post, in fact I know it does.

    Defo off this time.

Football and politics can’t be disentwined.

Celtic’s existence has always been political.

A riposte to, and protection from, the established system.

At least, that’s what our supporters are. For the most part.

I know very little about football and even less about politics so I will bid you & Cqn, Sentinel Celts, E-Tim’s, Huddleboard and everybody else goodnight …

Delighted with our Leigh back in amongst the goals, a very important big 5 weeks coming up, two wins in the next 8 days will do me

Cheers for the chat fellow Celts

    GFTB

Yer right about John McGinn’s loss, being Ryan Christie’s (and ours) gain. Had Brendan got McGinn, maybe Ryan would have been off to Aberdeen, or Southampton even, with his Celtic career in tatters.

I now think (and hope) Ryan Christie will go on to have a fantastic Celtic career, but if Peter Lawwell’s wallet Velcro wizny so catchy, he might have been for the offski.

Same with Izzy and KT. Izzy was probably the most consistent Celtic player of the previous four or five years, when his injury, and the lack of a quality replacement, gave Kieran his big chance. He has seized that chance, and he will be the Celtic left back for as long as he wants to be.

Celtic’s recent return to form has, IMO, been driven by KT, CalMac, Wee Jamesie and Ryan Christie, and that includes Europe.

Grand total, in terms of outlay, for those four? 500k.

Things don’t always go the way you expect. Thank feck we didn’t spend big in the last few years for John McGinn, or a replacement for Izzy. If we had, we wouldn’t be enjoying seeing RC & KT strut their stuff in the Hoops.

I will hopefully see you (and Phil) for a beer another time.

  28. Hi again. Is anyone aware of these perceived bullies attending Celtic Park every other week? I certainly don’t. Which makes me think they are, either fairweather supporters or just some assholes posting for the hell of it. I’ve been the subject of bullying on here and know for a fact that they do not attend CP on a regular basis. Thoughts please. HH

  29. Macjay

    My ears are fine.

My confidence in my views is equally fine.

Kojo was a racist who finally got a red card for being a racist.

Thatcher was a right wing bitch who will burn for eternity for what she did to all communities across these islands. No more so than in Ireland.

I hate no one. Almost no one. But the disdain I have for thatcher will be life long. So too for her ‘creepy acolytes’. Especially those untouched by the appalling effects of her policies.
