Jo Inge Berget in ahead of Legia

715

As always, it’s important to get the players you want, not end up with fourth or fifth choice, so on that measure, I’m happy Ronny Deila has secured a player he knows well. Jo Inge Berget is a wide attacking player, who will fit into the manager’s high-tempo, pressing, style of play.

The deal, a loan which gives Celtic the option to sign the player permanently if he’s successful, places incentives in the right places.

Enjoyed watching the cycling this week? Why don’t you sign up for the Paradise to Cardenden Cycle, which takes place on 6 September. Details here. You’ll enjoy it, and do great things for the Foundation.

Welcome to Celtic, Jo.

Would it be possible for you to translate the true version of the interview?

If it’s too much of a pain to go thru it all ,I will understand.

Big Joe As I predicted, big twist in translation from Polish. He did not say that. The meaning of his Polish interview is different. I warn to take this translation seriously. Bit of poison to the main course.

    Exactly…………………………………….

Thant’s exactly what’s I thought when I read it mate.

Cheers for the info, and enjoy the game.

Agree on Collins but the Hibs boys at work reckon it was Rob Jones who led the player revolt.

The Heid said it took him 6 weeks to get Celtic fit when he signed because he was used to a few team bonding sessions midweek at Hibernian.

Well i think CQNers use it to mean that they are pulling the person up for saying something that aint true and a bit derogatory to the person it was addressed to

It is used in a slightly different context in my work, so im going to call out my colleagues to tell them they are using it wrongly!!

    Ok…………………………………. Got it………… I think.

    Good Morning.

Now call me a cynic. Call me a doubting Jimmy. Call me anything you like actually, but does it not strike you that there is something really odd about the ending of the supposed interview with Mr Zaluska?

Here is a guy who has been a model professional at Celtic Park for several years. He has literally always been a reserve keeper who, thus far, has been happy to collect a more than decent wage in the knowledge that he will not be first choice.

In all that time, I cannot recall him giving an interview to the press and if he did he has never said anything controversial or whatever.

Yet now we are meant to believe that he goes through a whole interview about returning to his native Poland to play a game and he suddenly ends the interview with a comment on a new manager who has just walked in the door and his signing policy and tactics?

And he comments on Celtic’s finances, season ticket sales and so on.

Is this the same Lukasz Zaluska? Has he swallowed a bottle of chatty pills?

Somehow he has decided to break an omerta of some sort and he suddenly questions Celtic’s signing activity, ambition, finances and — oh and just adds in that Scottish Football just isn’t what it was because ?

Oh wait a minute– the demise of the Scottish game has nothing to do with Celtic’s lack of ambition or finances — it’s to do with the lack of a Rangers team at the top?

    Hmmmm.

Now Lukasz has always struck me as rather an astute chap in many respects. He is well paid for what he does and has never rocked the boat.

I don’t think he would expect the new manager — or Mr John Collins for that matter — to walk through the Parkhead gates, sort out a signing strategy and then think ” Hang on, we will have to run all this passed the reserve goalkeeper so that he is up to speed just in case the Scotsman or someone comes knocking at his door!”

No this is, to be frank, shitty journalism. Sheer Balderdash and Bollocks.

Journalism with an Agenda and it smells of the agricultural stuff.

Further, look at the comments from Collins this morning.

It looks as if Berget actually trained with Celtic yesterday. He didn’t just agree to fly up and sign. He didn’t just fly in and put pen to paper. That had all been done, negotiations concluded and the guy actually trained.

    And where were the press?

    Left floundering about knowing nothing.

As for Lukasz Zaluska — let’s assume he did make the comments concerned for a moment — I will bet the site of a new team mate, a new first team coach, and the news of one or two more potential signings will make him a little reluctant to be giving another interview any time soon.

  9. Sorry to see Tony depart

    Fantastic player and prospect

Obviously good enough to land a 5 year contact one of Belgiums top clubs

uninspired by our bored and their lack of ambition we should be trading up slightly but we get a player out the game for 2 years amazing goalie back in the day is he now ?

And a 6 month deal for a player who hasn’t played much recently but he does look a good player

We are playing Champ league qualifyers

Not good enough in my opinion

    Apologies,mistakes happen,etc.

Meanwhile, damage done. And on the eve of an important match too.

    Coincidentally.

  19. The Legia tie will be a season definer, potentially two of the most important games of the season. Its crazy that as National Champions we have to face games of this magnitude so early in the season. An away goal or two will settle the nerves. Its time for everyone to put any misgivings aside for next 36 hours and just get behind the team.

Maybe some of the neganons should consider that before putting criticism before praise.
