Jo Inge Berget in ahead of Legia

715

As always, it’s important to get the players you want, not end up with fourth or fifth choice, so on that measure, I’m happy Ronny Deila has secured a player he knows well. Jo Inge Berget is a wide attacking player, who will fit into the manager’s high-tempo, pressing, style of play.

The deal, a loan which gives Celtic the option to sign the player permanently if he’s successful, places incentives in the right places.

Enjoyed watching the cycling this week? Why don’t you sign up for the Paradise to Cardenden Cycle, which takes place on 6 September. Details here. You’ll enjoy it, and do great things for the Foundation.

Welcome to Celtic, Jo.

Good to see you back posting this morning. You have a certain style which for some reason always brings a smile to my face – perhaps it’s sharing the same first name. And yes, you probably were the fist to bring in the ole JoinedUpWriting to the blog

My immediate reaction if Celtic banned the MSSM would be one of elation. I accept, though, that I might not be in possession of enough information to justify that reaction.

I am equally sure neither will.

  5. In short words. Polish journalist asked few questions, mainly looking for weak points before the game against Legia. Zaluska denied wrong information about Celtic, stated facts and at the end said Celtic are the favourites and it’s going to be interesting rivalry in Warsaw and Edinburgh.

Sorry. I thought you might be being sarcastic but I just wanted to make sure 0:-)

Would it not be better if…..Celtic banned the SMSM then, they would have to explain themselves on the international stage as to, why Celtic FC ‘dont’ deal with their local media?

Surely, a wee bit of leadership could alter the landscape. quite considerably?

    ————————————————————————————-

What the way that “Rangers” banned the BBC? Aye that worked – it’s all the International Herald Tribune ever talk about. There’s uproar every day as the BBC have to “explain” themselves. That the kind of leadership you’re after?

  9. Pogmathonyahun Don’t worry about your ticket as I expect to have secured in one or two hours. Yes, probably short lasting heavy rain. It’s +32 C for couple of days. Get speedos with you. They might be the best wear for this weather.

Give jo a chance…as for tony watt, daft haircuts and bad attitude dont mix…blew it. As for the plc strategy…honestly, they dont have a clue about football

You cannot be a champions league team if you are not willing to spend some money.

This is very basic stuff that some just cant grasp.

  12. Looking forward to seeing our new signing JIB in the hoops, i think he will fit in well to RD’s shape for the team this coming season and i’m sure he will be used more as a creative player rather than an out and out striker. Hopefully with him in the team that will allow LG to play in his favoured central role where i’m sure he will be a prolific scorer for us with the new bhoy and commons creating chances galore.

Tomorrows game and the return leg is our biggest games since the Karagandy games last season, are we as strong then as we were then.? My thoughts are that we are not and the only people to blame will be the bored IF we fail to reach the CL. It’s a massive gamble yet again, can we be lucky twice.?

Good luck to Tony Watt, somehow he didn’t make the most of the chance given to him here at Paradise, only later in life will he look back and realise what he could have had

  22. New signing- welcome big guy

Obviously not overly excited and gutted tony watt didnt turn out the local goalscorer we would all love to see.

Is them reports that southampton offered 3.5m for ff true ? I hope they were rudely told were to ram it.. They get 16m for right back who played 20 odd games.. We should be taking no less than 10m plus boruc or .

Not back to work until thursday so cant wait to see the bhoys in action for first time in ages.

I really hope big peter’s annual gambling addiction pays off…because if it doesnt, there may be trouble ahead.

Are the plc going to flog our best players yet again, then fob us off with excuses?

Well…you cant gamble forever without bad consequences.

And if you think you can be in the CL on an farcical insulting budget…well, carry on.

09 46Big Joe, naw really mate was referring to an interview he gave

where he says we are doomed without rankers at the top table.

But to be fair most ex players and indeed current players have been quoted

    with similar thoughts.

  25. If you want to do anything about this “interview” you can find on twitter Polish guy Piotr Wolosik who interviewed Zaluska. You can point out that his interview from Przeglad Sportowy was stolen and twisted.

  28. Disappointed to see Tony Watt go – but I can understand the decision. We can only hope that being moved on gives him the kick he needs to get his head right. Tony has a great deal of talent, But I have a bad feeling he will never realise it.

Jo Inge Berget is certainly a left field signing. Ronny clearly has a style of play and wants players who can fit into it. I know nothing about Jo and look forward to seeing what he can do for us.

  29. The Green Man on

    I still dont get it.

You get to the CL group stage, then sell your best players.

What kind of strategy is that?
