Hamstrings are one of the most pernicious injuries a player can get. They can inflict untold damage across many years. Shaun Maloney was plagued for years, before eventually finding a way to train and play that protected his damaged muscle.
Get the deal with Benfica ready to sign, pending a fitness test as late in the season as possible. If he does not play for an extended period without remission, we should not sign him. If you want to maximise your potential as a club, there is no room for sentiment or wishful thinking.

He was allowed in after lengthy consultation with the OZ-nazis .

I don`t agree with Bamboo`s seeming dismissal of Covid as a major problem but his well-mannered expressing of his views deserves the same in return.

The issue of medical exemptions for top athletes is a big problem for sporting integrity.
Although Novak’s exemption was based on his vax status rather than meds, I believe his standing influenced the decision to grant him it.
You’d have to have come up the Lagan in a bubble to think the independent panel weren’t influenced by the the fact he was world number one.
Medical exemptions in sport are a cheats charter and need cleaned up.
