Killie dividend for torturous ESPN attacks

1056

It is very good news that Kilmarnock fans have voted to give Celtic three stands for next weekend’s game which will see the league title won if Celtic earn a point.  As a result, several thousand more Celtic fans will be able to attend the game and avoid listening to their club being belittled as they watch ESPN.

I hope Neil Lennon continues to speak in forthright terms when his team is undermined.

  1. Tomorrow is the 44th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr.

On this day (3 April) in 1968, he gave his famous “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” speech; his last ever public oration.

Speaking at the Mason Temple (Church of God in Christ Headquarters) in Memphis, Tennessee, he included the following section regarding (economic) boycotts, which can be adapted for our times …

“Now, we are poor people. Individually, we are poor when you compare us with white society in America. We are poor. Never stop and forget that collectively…the American Negro collectively is richer than most nations of the world. We have an annual income of more than thirty billion dollars a year, which is more than all of the exports of the United States, and more than the national budget of Canada. Did you know that? That’s power right there, if we know how to pool it. We don’t have to argue with anybody. We don’t have to curse and go around acting bad with our words. We don’t need any bricks and bottles. We don’t need any Molotov cocktails. We just need to go around to these stores, and to these massive industries in our country, and say, “God sent us by here, to say to you that you’re not treating his children right. And we’ve come by here to ask you to make the first item on your agenda fair treatment, where God’s children are concerned. Now, if you are not prepared to do that, we do have an agenda that we must follow. And our agenda calls for withdrawing economic support from you.”

Where PHILVIS lives, there are NO schemes, only pleasantly-appointed exclusive developments.

Personally,I rather think he’s the caretaker of one of them………….

  6. I’m off to York for a couple of days so been browsing visitors site. At Jorvik Viking Centre I came across an announcement, this is genuine;

    “HUNGATE Retrospective……due to unforeseen circumstances……..”

    Haha Stupid Huns.

Where is the pub of choice in Swindon these days?

Is the place on Manchester rd closed?

    I’m up in Ciren.

  11. Look at all of this from Ticketus’ point of view. They’ve fronted up cash and need to get it back plus a profit. And they won’t care who pays up.

From all of the talk it seems like they don’t have any security, but they do have some sort of guarentees (“corporate and personal”) from Whyte. So their fallback position is to try to get him to cough up.

Clearly their best option is to have a club playing football so that they can sell the tickets they own. So they will try to deal with whoever is most likely to make that happen.

A second yellow for over celebrating in a semi final? glad the 10 men went onto to make it 4-1

  13. Hen1rik @ 11:08,

Don’t believe the DR is correct with the details.

But with TicketUs not being able to secure the STs or Preferred creditor status and Craig Whyte indicating he does walking away, the squabbling menagerie of the Blue, Whyte Knights and Ticketus must do a deal before D Day on Thursday.

Otherwise an American Eagle with swoop down and take their Carrion.

  14. It has come to me that the only difference between the Mafia and those running shotland, is that in shotland masonics is legal. That is the only difference. The hun situation coupled with anything they can pin on anything CELTIC is nothing short of an utter disgrace. The guys who tried to murder Lenny etc will get off with a slap on the wrists. I bet Lenny will be given harsher sentence for his misdemeanors perceived by the SFa.

Come on Celtic, work towards getting out of this stinking cess pit that is shotland with all the anti catholic, anti Irish, anti Celtic crap once and for all. As I’ve said on here many times, we will not win against them, never! How pathetic is that in 2012??

  15. I am NL in NZ Tauranga, thanks. Will look for any update on Rarotonga … sounds a bit better than snow in Gourock just now.

  16. Not a fan of David Goodwillie but I have to say, from the footage of the incident, the other guy got what he deserved. At least Goodwillie went straight at him, the other guy decked Swanson with a cowardly assualt from the side while Swanson was looking the other way.

Not saying it’s right, but if he hadn’t thrown a coward’s punch to start it all he wouldn’t have ended up on the receiving end of a flurry.

  17. I wouldn’t compare Whytey to a Gecko. I think Chameleon is more apt. His camouflage has so far prevented any flak from sticking. The radars do detect a presence but when they look they see nothing. He is evolutions own Scarlett Pimpernel. In fact his disguises are so good that when you look at him its like looking in a mirror. Whytey is the quintessential Protean shape-shifter. He is invisible to the naked eye.

The question is: will there be gecko’s sweating as the week commences?

  18. Celtic have failed in an attempt to offload Morten Rasmussen to Norwegian club Aalesunds.

The frozen-out striker agreed terms to leave Glasgow last week, after a transfer fee was agreed between the two clubs.

Aalesunds’ chairman Bjarne Haagensen says the deal was set to go through, only for Rasmussen’s agent to scupper the move.

“I thought we had a deal ready,” he told the Norwegian press. “We agreed a reasonable price with Celtic and we agreed with the player.

“But then along came his agent and destroyed the deal.”

Rasmussen moved to Celtic in January 2010, signing a three-and-a-half contract under Tony Mowbray in a £1.2m move.

The Dane has made just 13 competitive appearances for the club, scoring three times, and last featured against Hearts in May 2010.

Rasmussen, 27, has spent three spells out on loan from Celtic, playing for Mainz, Aalborg and Sivasspor

  19. my mate says white will hand over the hole club to murray and ticketbus for nothing. they will then get the rest of the ticketbus money de arrestmented from white and ticketbus is going to pile another wedge in. he was told that alistair will have a warchest of around 50 milion to spend in the summer. he has been out scouting in italy and spain as murray wants rangers to be back challengnig in the champions leeg. we will not be able to live with that and will spend another 15 years hanging onto their coat hooks. this will be a disaster for us. i wonder how many will stay loyal to our club while that is happenig over at their pig stile

Never was a more truer word spoke, mate. It’s time the Celtic fans stop drinking up all the propaganda and smell the music. Next season spells desaster for us.

Good to see Jingle Jangle getting his come-uppance on the blog.Jabbas Apprentice Boy.

  25. Hen1rik,

Whyte doe not want to deal with Murray but what choice does he have? He doesn’t have the time or wherewithal to take the litigation to the next level.

He needs to walk away without 30Million persoanl guarantees hanging over his head.

If he can get Ticketus to remove his personal guarantees for the floating charge and the Blue Knights to cover all his costs with a small profit, that’s as good a deal as he gets.

He can spin it to say he walked away for the good of the Club and maybe if the disguise is good enuff he gets to come back to Scotland no’ an’ agin.
