Killie dividend for torturous ESPN attacks

1056

It is very good news that Kilmarnock fans have voted to give Celtic three stands for next weekend’s game which will see the league title won if Celtic earn a point.  As a result, several thousand more Celtic fans will be able to attend the game and avoid listening to their club being belittled as they watch ESPN.

I hope Neil Lennon continues to speak in forthright terms when his team is undermined.

So Tiicketus are happy to write off millions of pounds & accept just £10 million in dribs & drabs while investing another £10 million to be paid back only if the club makes Europe & no interest charged on this loan? Wow Tickitus sound like a friendly company a little too friendly.

Who’s money is behind Ticketus? Surely someone can find out?

So ticketus are a sort of football fairy godmother? Why would they do this?

  3. Was Keith Jackson not the zoomer behind the “off the radar” wealth of the MBB, he’s got some front to continue zooming on a daily basis after that red neck!!

Keep going Keith your journalistic integrity is in tatters but you keep peddling away Pal..

  5. Jackson’s stock/credibility is so low that he can’t go on radio phone-ins any more for fear of being ridiculed. He’s a poor man’s Graham Speirs and that’s not saying much.

  6. Good morning from a sunny Bournemouth ( it won’t last!). This mooted Murray/Ticketus deal must be causing calloused thumbs and red-raw knuckles for the funny handshake brigade if they think they’re going to finagle this latest wheeze to save “that grate Scottish instichooshun” Rankers F.C…”we don’t do dignity”……

They’ll say and do anything to remain in denial.

    Thick,thick,thick.

  7. “We can reveal the overall debt due to Ticketus as a result of their tie-in with Whyte now stands at £27m.”

And how exactly did they manage to accumulate more debt since the 14th February?

Utter drivel. For tax reasons any TicketUS product cannot run for the length of time they are stating.

  8. The PR link between the DR and the Rangers old board is as strong as ever, Keech Jackson is nobody’s stool…………………..

Why aren’t Ticketus calling in the loan guarantees from Craig Whyte? are the guarantees worthless

Total debt to ticketus is 27 million!! now 17 million is written off as ticketus debt down to 10 million, that 10 million now to be repaid over 9 years on an interest free basis, are Ticketus investors/shareholders happy with those in Ticketus who conducted that deal?

Another short term loan of 10 million will be given, (no details of interest to be paid) paid for by money raised from the selling of shares

    Paul Murray

“In effect, what Ticketus are prepared to do here is act like a ‘supportive bank’ in order to help us stabilise the club.

You trief to rip off Llyods who took none of your nonsense, and as a consequence no other bank will go near you, something smells like S…………..

It is going to have to be some busi9nes plan that convinces HMRC they will get their momey back with Tickertus, even on a reduced clawback arrangement, still on the scene.

The money left to fund player wages will be very small on a weekly wage basis. That means smaller crowds and that means less income to repay the debt. It will all be down to what HMRC decide and what penalties are applied.

The worst case scenario is a CVA is agreed and there is no UEFA ban after next season. That opens the door for pursuit of UEFA cash to pay back debt quicker or pay higher wages. That creates the same conditions that led to the honest mistakes season and unless UEFA entry for at least 3 seasons is barred we are in for more of the same.

Hopefully HMRC will rule out any CVA because the repayment period will be unacceptable to them.

    Salut Starry,

Been a beautiful couple of weeks here, cloudy today and rain tomorrow, but then back to sunshine again. Unlike RFC(IA.) Listen, mate, I’m in a bit of a fix. Would you mind just putting on hold that 27 million I’m due you, infact, could you see your way to lending me another 10 mil?

  11. I was at the Drake concert last night (thought it was dreadful by the way – sign of my age I guess).

A lot of our bhoys were there, although oddly not together, all with their wags!

Anyway I saw big FF. One of my reservations about him was I felt for his size he looked quite fragile and weak. Well he’s obviously been working out cos the bhoy looks absolutely solid!

    Sign him up Lenny….

    Kayal33 @ 08:01,

Looks Like Paul Murray might have pulled together his first authentic deal – albeit somewhat unconventional – It would be interesting to see the way the SFA examine P Murray’s F&P person status. On one hand you could argue the SFA’s rule of being a Director in the last five years before an Insolvency Event is somewhat harsh, however they could look at ALL the RFC board over the last decade and conclude that Governance was remiss throughout this period and all Board members are culpable.

I would guess it depends on how much of the fallout hits the great and the good of the Reloving Door Cabal and if Paul Murray could pull off the Blue Knight deal then argue he also had no reponsibility in RFC’s non compliance with Civil and Footballing bodies, then he may get the nod.

What interests me slighty more is TicketUs dong the deal, unless they get the floating charge on Ibrox and Murray Park (By doing a mutual deal with CW) that allows them security and a long, long term potentail for ROI it makes little sense.

If you look at the TicketUs risk portfolio the original deal seemed strange, this later deal seems totally bizzaro. Unless I was someone is looking to invest/give monies to RFC anonymously and is using TicketUs as a vehicle why would I do this?

The Police, the SFA are looking at the validity of these deals, it wouldn’t be surprising if HMRC and FSA were also curious, I certainly would like to know whose money TicketUs is being so profligate with.

    —————————————

As I said above any settlement that requires debt reduction (either Ticketus and/or HMRC) via Europe money is dangerous for the rest of our game as it increases the temptation to cheat their way to it. This temptation has to be removed or we are in for a generation of honest mistakes.

On the basis of a 12% Ticketus clawback over 10 years and HMRC agreeing to an 8 year repayment plan of backtax in full the weekly wage on offer for a total paying squad of 60 including coaches would average £2,900 in year one with no UEFA money then £5225 thereafter. Not a lot compared to what Celtic could offer but more than enough to be competitive with.

I thought before HMRC might do a deal if it meant full recovery of back tax. I subsequently ruled it out because of the original Ticketus clawback reduced the wage on offer to such an extent the crowds would drop to a level that would scupper any viable business plan but with a better deal with Ticketus I would not rule an arrangement with HMRC out. They get taxpayers money back, Rangers stay in business, crippled but still dangerous and unless the SFA do an overhaul to licencing and financial controls and make them more transparent its back to more of the same.

If that were to happen,we would have to involve the FSA,alleging conspiracy by one public company and others to defraud another public company.

IMO,we should have taken this step a couple of years ago.

What we must NOT do is simply sit back and take it on the chin……..

  26. Not so bothered about Rangers but I am worrying about Hooper and Stokes and I hope that they will get back to scoring very soon.

There were good parts to their game on Sunday without looking particularly dangerous in front of goal. I still think they have goals in them for April and May

ibleedgreenandwhite1 – Never mind such gauche pursuits as basic journalistic due diligence before going to print.

Mr Jackson should have been tipped off that something was wrong after taking one look at Craig Whyte.

Even a cursory glance at the man reveals that he has monocular vision, with each eye operating independently on each side of his head, like a gecko.

Herpetologists theorise Craig Whyte evolved this unique visual trait in order to better detect and evade creditors. (thumbsup)
