Killie dividend for torturous ESPN attacks

1056

It is very good news that Kilmarnock fans have voted to give Celtic three stands for next weekend’s game which will see the league title won if Celtic earn a point.  As a result, several thousand more Celtic fans will be able to attend the game and avoid listening to their club being belittled as they watch ESPN.

I hope Neil Lennon continues to speak in forthright terms when his team is undermined.

  1. The Goodwillie thing is a bit of a storm in a teacup.

The thug Goodwillie hit though could have seriously damaged Swanson with that cowardly punch on a defenceless drunk. The thug was looking for trouble- why wait around even after hitting Swanson. He wanted a bit of someone else then suddenly realised, too late, that Goodwillie out gunned him.

It was hardly a brutal mash up.

The thing that worries me: where are the police during the eight or so minutes this skirmish went on for?

Looking at a video like that with the nick Swanson & Goodwillie were in it just shows why we are so crap at football- where is the professionalism and commitment to your game? Imagine Larsson behaving like this?

Aye, but it doesn’t make any sense – It’s much harder work than I imagined, so I’ve been running about daft, have hardly had a pint, and have barely stopped to eat.

In fact, that last bit isn’t true. I’ve been eating just fine.

But Whyte is in it for himself and he won’t walk away with nothing.

It’s that sort of lack of professionalism that caused us to lose the league last year at Inverness.

  5. Mort @ 10:35 – Had to step away and do some real work, but I am much obliged for your confirmation!

  6. If Goodwiilie had signed for Orcs the headline would have read

Brave hero David risks life & limb to save friend from Violent Celtic supporting thugs.

    HAIL HAIL

  7. Getting rid of Ra Ra Rasmussen would have been a real bonus. Agents have far too much power these days. They are meant to be representatives not making all your decisions for you.

It is frightening to think of the money we would save by offloading so much deadwood in the squad. Certainly enough to accommodate real quality in a couple of positions: time to think in terms of quality rather than quantity- particularly when we are going into the Champions League.

Bobby Murdoch Flying Tumbler was my da’s watering hole so bit of my heritage. Have to say that the Arthurlie Inns was my local all through my teens, like most of the town mickxed crowd. Happy days indeed. Hail Hail. Stand up for the Champions

  9. Have just read the Daily Record “report” from earlier. Once again the story is badly written and leaves more questions than answers. Firstly what exactly are ticketus getting for giving up £17M? Are they getting some shares perhaps? If not then they really have found a fairy godmother! Even funnier the report gives the impression that actually everything will be fine – they will even have the money to pay their current squad yada yada yada.

In short, once again, we have a Daily Record report that ignores all of the real problems in favour of just hoping it will be alright. So small things like:

    – The HMRC position and the fallout when they lose the tax case

    – Who is actually going to underwrite the share issue – is it Ticketus? Do they actually want to own the club?

    – That a huge majority of the share issues (assuming its succesful) will go to paying off the money owed

In any case Rangers no longer have a license for SPL football for next season as they dont have audited accounts. Oh and surely the SPL investigation will conclude that separate contracts exist and they will be busted down into the 3rd division.

Oh damn it I forgot – I live in Scotland…..

  10. Hen1rik @ 11:42,

That’s true but it’s gone down to the wire, what he gets is really up to how much he sells his shares to the Blue Knights.

If the Blue Knights do not get preferred bidder status on Thursday, liquidation will be imminent and his shares will be worth nothing, he would then have to envoke the floating charge and fight for Ibrox. I could be wrong but I haven’t seen anything that makes me think C Whyte can defend his position.

It will probably surprise the hierarchy of the Church, who aren’t the brightest when it comes to political matters.

And there was that nice Mr Salmond promising to protect Catholic schools from a non existent threat.

    Whyte has a floating charge.

    He’ll get paid.

And when he gets paid Ticketus will get paid.

  15. Partizan, hope you enjoy your trip to York. The Hungate area of York was an industrial centre which was cleared for a big new shiny development… Which has sat empty for a few years… Don’t know if it was meant to have a casino…

The problem with the Masonic Code is that it operates on parallel lines to the Cosa Nostra- its the basic axiom of deferring favour to those higher up the organisational chain. These types are very reverential toward authority, obsessed with rules (no matter how arbitrary) and are so excessively obedient they lack any critical skills.

    I despise secret organisations.

I despise systems based on favours.

I despise “institutions” that have a narrow remit for qualification, especially if its based on sectarianism or racism.

All the above are facets of the OO.

  17. Ernie Lynch @ 12:08,

We know this situation is a total mess but if we believe that Ticketus are down 25Million + in cash and CW is commited to 30Million in guarantees secured on Ibrox & Murray Park then the pot isn’t big enough to go round. That’s without HMRC and the other creditors.

If the Yanks expect to walk off with all the Assets by putting 25Million in, it ain’t going to go round all. Some people are going to take a bath.
