Killie dividend for torturous ESPN attacks

1056

It is very good news that Kilmarnock fans have voted to give Celtic three stands for next weekend’s game which will see the league title won if Celtic earn a point.  As a result, several thousand more Celtic fans will be able to attend the game and avoid listening to their club being belittled as they watch ESPN.

I hope Neil Lennon continues to speak in forthright terms when his team is undermined.

    Thoughts tonight are with Stillian, as he takes his first steps on the long road to what we all hope will be full recovery, & with young Nicky Main & his family.

    Age old rivalries sometimes seem shallow & irrelevant.

  5. If Craig Whyte doesn’t play ball, then any potential takeover bids are going nowhere,’ said Professor David Hillier, of Strathclyde University’s Business School, speaking before Whyte’s statements last night.

    ‘If Duff & Phelps tries taking legal action to make Whyte sell, he can draw the process out for up to two years through the courts.

  8. From a rather old version of the Oxford English Dictionary:

    Honest: Fair and righteous in speech and act, not lying, cheating or stealing;

    sincere, blameless.

    Fair~play: Equal conditions for all.

    Integrity: Soundness, uprightness, honesty.

    I guess this version of the OED is not available in Scotland.

  9. The news about Nicky Main as terrible and I feel for him.

    It may overshadow football rivalries, but in no way changes how I feel about the Huns. It would be a lie to pretend otherwise.

    Just don’t get it do you? Obviously ranjurz are a quality investment oppurtunity, only a pure, bigotted fud would think any different. The scottish media are united in their belief that ranjurz are the source of all inspiration and talent in the scuddish game. i’m going to get in there, right up to my garden huts, I’m going to make serious wedge, only a total tit would think differently!!!!

    “i can’t see anyway out of it for them” said Professor Seamus O’Cuinne of the University of Ulster.

    “In statistical terms, they’re fecked. That Craig Whyte, he’s the dogs bollix, isn’t he? I suppose, being a philospher, I should step back and take an objective utilitarian assessment.”

    Am I misunderstanding you or did you misunderstand the Rangers supporter? He was saying that he HAD believed his team/Club to have had those virtues but , if Alex Thomson`s reports are accurate, then he no longer believed this to be the case.

    The 14 days refers to time to address variances uncovered in an audit. This is not the case here as documents for an audit have not been produced and cannot now be produced.

    The rules say:

    2.2 Licensing Committee

    The Licensing Committee is one of the Scottish FA’s Committees and its powers are detailed in the Scottish FA Board’s Protocol. The powers, duties and operations of the Licensing Committee in terms of club licensing are as follows:

     The Licensing Committee is the first instance body that decides whether a Licence should be issued to a club or not and at which level this license shall be awarded. This decision will be based on the documents provided by the Licensing Administration and be in accordance with the provisions of the Club Licensing Manual;

     The Licensing Committee shall decide what measures to impose on clubs that fail to submit Licensing documents in a timely and accurate manner, or that fail to cooperate with the Licensing Committee or the Licensing Administration;

     Each member of the Licensing Committee shall have one vote and the Chairman shall, in the event of a tie, have a casting vote.

     The Licensing Committee shall specify its decisions in writing and provide the reasons for these decisions.

     A Licence may be withdrawn during a season by the Licensing Committee if the club:

     No longer satisfies any single condition for issuing the Licence;

     Violates any of its obligations under the Club Licensing Manual;

     “suffers or is subject to an insolvency event” Article 15.1 (g);

     The Licensing Committee will have the authority to review Licensing criteria and to recommend amendments to the Board;

    Take yer pick of the reasons for not withdrawing the licence :)

  17. Chris Killen scored 13 SPL goals for Hibs in 06/07

    Chris Porter scored 14 SPL goals for Well in 07/08

    David Clarkson scored 13 for Well in 08/09 (2 more than Stephen Fletcher managed for Hibs that year)

    Jon Daly scored 13 for United in 09/10

    Rooney got 15 for ICT in 10/11 as did Sammon for Killie

    Nick Blackman scored 12 that season

    We cannot sign everyone who has a good season in the SPL. We have to be more discriminating. None of the above named players set any heather alight when outwith Scotland, that includes Skacel.

    Stephen Fletcher is one of the rare few scorers up here who has gone on to relative success down south.
